It would seem to me that Political Correctness has cost America at least 13 lives in the last week… Major Malik Nadal Hasan showed sign after sign after sign of being a fundamentalist agenda driven radical Muslim mentality, from trying to convert those he treated to radical posting on the internet to his general attitude about America and the war on terror… yet nothing was done. Oh he was report more than once as someone to watch, someone with radical views and attitude, but nothing was done, why? I think and I’ll admit I do not have “all” the information, but it’s political correctness in my opinion. See I believe that political correctness kept military from fully investigating Hasan when his questionable behavior was reported and now instead of kicking Hasan out of the military for conduct unbecoming of an officer we have 13 dead Americans at his hand.
Some Saw Trouble With Fort Hood Suspect
Dr. Val Finnell, who complained to administrators at a military university about what he considered Hasan’s “anti-American” rants. “He at least should have been confronted about these beliefs, told to cease and desist, and to shape up or ship out.”
Fort Hood shooting: Texas army killer linked to September 11 terrorists
Why do we have to read British papers to get Ft. Hood jihadist news?!
Why?
Well, I’ve seen it for years… not just the military but in the private sector as a supervisor… as a matter of company conviction and unwritten policy some minorities get away with a large variety of wrong doing or attitudes simply because the employer doesn’t want to be accused of racism/sexism/discrimination. (i.e they don’t want a lawsuit) I’ve known minority worker that never carried their weight, constantly disrespected authority (i.e. supervisor) and got away with it, because if you dare say something about it as a white person you might be ‘culturally insensitive’ and/or a ‘racist’, you will be accused and guilty until you prove you’re innocent. (Just like I’m going to be accused of being racist and sexist in this post… let the hate mail begin.) Meanwhile a white worker would have been sent packing for the exact same behavior… more so if that white worker was the least protected in society… dare I say the white male! (White men has no gender/race protectionist laws) And rightfully so, if you can’t carry your weight or you exhibit a poor ethics and attitude you need to be sent packing regardless of race, gender or ethnic origin, but that’s not how it works now is it?
Older white males hurt more by this recession
As unemployment hits 10.25 lets look at some facts… has the article linked above notes…
The most remarkable change is in the unemployment rate for black women: 12.2%, far below the historic peak of 20% in 1983. Hispanic unemployment is about 6 percentage points below historic highs, too.
In other words, this recession has shrunk the racial gap in unemployment, largely because white men are doing so much worse than usual.
The article goes on to theorize “why?” However it fail to touch upon the obvious reason… white males are easier to fire because they have no laws protecting them, ask any employer. Oh your black groups, Hispanic groups, Asian groups and women groups will say well “that’s because it’s a world ran by white men and they don’t need protection… they are the ones that discriminate and are not the ones being discriminated against.” Really? Then why are more white men loosing their jobs than any other group? Riddle me that brain child! Do you believe, as this article says it’s only because white male dominated industries (what ever those are) are being hit harder? Or is the fact firing white males is easier to do?
Now before you go getting your Huggies in a wad, let me clarify I know plenty of worker from all works of life that come to work on time do their job effectively and never cop an attitude some perceived discrimination and equally I know white men that are complete losers and slacker that work harder getting out of work than just doing their damn job, but no ill will fall upon you if you criticize and fire the lazy white guy.
It’s simple, the straight-white-male cannot claim racism, sexism or discrimination (oh they can claim it but it rarely works and makes headlines when it does) and to let you in on a little secret it’s really not in the majority of white male’s mindset to make those claims since they would be laughed upon if they did. (Remember the CT fire department stink and the crap they took over it?) Now this is not to say that there is no racism, sexism or discrimination amongst other groups, I know there is, but I seriously doubt it is as widespread as the poverty pimps and race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have you believe… if the majority of this country is as racist as they claim, then how the hell did Barack Obama get elected? It all can’t be ACORN…
(Note: I’m not say ALL people in minority groups or protected classes act this way… just some and those give the others a bad name.)
I know what I’m saying will piss off some of the minorities, some of the women and some of any of the other dozen or so protected classes.. but to damn bad … take a lesson from those evil white men and suck it up and get over it, life is not fair. Yes you heard me… the mantra of the evil angry white guy… suck it up, get over it, life is not fair and nobody wants to hear your whining about how hard you have it.
But no we can’t tell those in the so-called protected class to suck it up and get over it… oh no that would be culturally insensitive, that would be racist, sexist and discriminatory… we can’t “profile’ known profiles… well unless the profile is that of a white guy. Remember the DC Sniper? Remember everyone just knew it was some crazy white guy, they talked about it and they said that the FBI profile was likely a white guy it was all over the news it had all the hallmarks of a some white guy likely between the ages of 20-40 well what ever those hallmarks are, were wrong… no it wasn’t a white guy… it was John Allen Muhammad, and Lee Boyd Malvo two black guys… but not only was it just two black guy they did it because they wanted to extort money from the government to set up Islamic terrorist camps to attack American, remember that?
But oh no… we can’t profile someone named Muhammad or even Hasan that they and their actions might be indicative of an Islamic terrorist… oh no, that would be racist and not politically correct. We can’t assume their motive based on their religious affiliation no matter how many times someone that happens to be a radical Muslim attacks America… nope can’t do that… wouldn’t be politically correct.
(BTW Allen Muhammad a Islamic convert is set to be executed Nov 10, 2009 and not a minute to soon)
Case in point the Ft Hood murders, Malik Nadal Hasan uncle Rafiq Ismail said regarding Hasan’s thoughts on 9/11…
“[Malik] was saying they were killers, what they did in 9/11. He did not approve of it,” Ismail said. “But I tell you he did not like the reaction … collective punishment for the background Arabic or Islam.”
So let me get this right Uncle Ismail… Hanan’s thought the 9/11 attackers where killers, but his dislike of the America’s rightful outrage was so distasteful that instead of publicly coming out against the attackers he decided that the best coarse of action was to try and convert his patients as possible and failing at that, then to become radicalized and jump up on his desk and yell “Allahu Akbar” the last words heard from the flights on 9/11 and start filling the room of unarmed American (read infidels) full of lead? That was his solution to bridging and healing the cultural gap? Do I have that about right?
To often the solution amongst those fill discriminated against is not dialog, it’s extreme actions be it violence in the case of Hasan or burdensome and restrictive legislation in the case of others.
I am of the mindset that perceived racism and discrimination is a form mental illness… as I’ve said racism/sexism/discrimination is out there, it does exist however I do not believe it is as prevalent as some would have you believe. I feel some look for it everywhere and if you look for something hard enough you’ll find it or believe you found it. Example, Hank Johnson a not to bright democrat Congressmen from Georgia said….
Congressman Suggests People Will Don ‘White Hoods’ If Wilson Not Rebuked
[T]hat people will be putting on “white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside” if emerging racist attitudes, which he says were subtly supported by [Joe] Wilson [R-SC], are not rebuked.
Just because Joe Wilson call Obama a liar, which was proven correct the Klan is going to rise and ride again… does anyone honestly believe this? Does anyone honestly believe Wilson said that ONLY because Obama is (half) black? Give me a break, but this is only one of 1000′s of examples of race hustling look at anything Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson says, look at Jeremiah Wright, Lewis Gates, Van Jones, Shelia Jackson-Lee they all hustle race to fit and agenda and not until the vicicrat mentality is shunned is it ever going to get better.
So we can’t say Hasan is a terrorist, Obama says we should “not to rush to judgment” … but wait didn’t Obama do just that when he said the white police officer acted “stupidly” when arresting a black man? Is that not rushing to judgment? Is that not profiling? Is that not racism? I guess it’s ok if you discriminate against a white guy right? Maybe Obama believe all white cops are out to harass black men… to bad for Obama that the white cop, James Crowley taught class on racial profiling to police academy… oops!
Point being… after I’ve babbled on now … I’m sick of tip-toeing around peoples feeling, I’m not out to hurt your feeling but dammit I’m not out to pussyfoot around the obvious either. How many times do you have to be hit in the head with the baseball bat before you throw you hand up and say alright by-gawd that’s enough! NO MORE!
Oh here a little factoid that happened while I was typing this… I friend of mine on Facebook, who happen to be half black just like Obama said I didn’t respect the Obama’s because they are BLACK…
They posted…
What you don’t want to respect them cause they are BLACK…?
I replied…
Oh good one, play the race card… I thought Obama was half white? Why can’t someone disagree with someone on their policies? Why must it be because of their race? I’m really surprised, I hope you are joking I think you know me better than that.
However what I should have said was…
“You’re just saying that because I’m white and that’s why you hate Reagan and Bush too.”
Maybe us white folks should start crying racism and saying you hate whites at every drop of the hat… maybe I as a male should start claiming sexism and saying I’m only being treated this or that way because I’m a man… maybe I should wake up in the morning and sigh and say I’m male and I’m white, poor pitiful me. Or maybe I should get the hell over it and deal with it, hmmm sound like something a lot of people can do.
Sometimes you just have to roll you eyes and say “WHATEVER!” But that doesn’t get you very far does it? And it will not, until we start vocally addressing this victim mentality will we get anywhere… IF (the biggest word in the English language) someone would have aggressively addresses Malik Nadal Hasan’s outward signs of hatred about America and the wars when they first saw them 13 people might still be alive today, but we will never know because America is to busy bowing to the alter of political correctness to effectively deal with the obvious rifts in society.
Perhaps Lieberman get’s it…
Lieberman Announces Senate Investigation Into Fort Hood Shooting
The Independent Democrat, who chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, said there were ‘strong warning signs’ that the alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was an ‘Islamist extremist.’
Ya think?
P.S. If in any way this post has offended you, hurt your feeling, upset you emotionally or caused harm to your psyche … get over it!
First I’d like to congratulate Mr. Obama for his victory to become the 44th President of the United States of America, I wish him well and really hope he does a good job for the country. I’m no fan of Obama, this is no secret and I and many others will be watching him like a hawk. For a man that ran on a chant of hope, change and transparency. So far I’ve only seen more of the same with a endless parade of Washington insiders and blatant opacity.
