Just in from the Ministry of Employment Misinformation …

If you listen to the government Let look at two set of numbers … the ones the government spins and the real one from the BLS unspun …

The Employment Situation in March

While more work remains to be done, today’s employment report provides further evidence that the U.S. economy is continuing to recover from the worst downturn since the Great Depression. It is critical that we continue the policies that are helping to build an economy that creates jobs and works for the middle class as we dig our way out of the deep hole that was caused by the severe recession that began in December 2007.

Today’s report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that private sector businesses added 95,000 jobs last month. Total non-farm payroll employment rose by 88,000 jobs in March. The February and March employment numbers were revised up by a total of 61,000 jobs. The economy has now added private sector jobs every month for 37 straight months, and a total of nearly 6.5 million jobs has been added over that period.

The household survey showed that the unemployment rate fell from 7.7 percent in February to 7.6 percent in March, the lowest since December 2008. The labor force participation rate decreased by 0.2 percentage point to 63.3 percent in March.

Meanwhile in the Real World …

People Not In Labor Force Soar By 663,000 To 90 Million, Labor Force Participation Rate At 1979 Levels

Things just keep getting worse for the American worker, and by implication US economy, where as we have shown many times before, it pays just as well to sit back and collect disability and various welfare and entitlement checks, than to work .The best manifestation of this: the number of people not in the labor force which in March soared by a massive 663,000 to a record 90 million Americans who are no longer even looking for work. This was the biggest monthly increase in people dropping out of the labor force since January 2012, when the BLS did its census recast of the labor numbers. And even worse, the labor force participation rate plunged from an already abysmal 63.5% to 63.3% – the lowest since 1979! But at least it helped with the now painfully grotesque propaganda that the US unemployment rate is “improving.”

Real March Unemployment Rate: 11.6%

Today, we got the laughable news that the unemployment rate declined even as those not in the labor force grew by over 660,000, while the total civilian non-institutional population grew by just 167,000 to 244,995, meaning the actual labor force declined by 496,000. Which is precisely the issue: fudging the labor force participation rate is how the Obama administration has managed to maintain the myth the economy has grown under his leadership for the past 4+ years. It hasn’t, and in fact if one renormalizes for the recent long-term average participation rate of 65.8%, one gets a very different number. How different? A difference that is now at a record compared to what is reported. As the chart below shows, a “renormalization” process indicates a massive and record 4% difference between the reported unemployment rate of 7.6%, and what the real unemployment rate is assuming normal growth of the labor force, which in March was 11.6%, up from 11.3% in February, and the highest since August 2012 when it was 11.7%. More importantly, as the real unemployment chart shows, the economy has not improved by one bit since 2009!

So while the government’s Ministry of Misinformation blows smoke up your bum … the facts from the land of reality that liberals hate so much are quite different.

Liberals claim getting something for nothing is unfair… really? That’s new…

So I guess you’ve heard about the hub-bub going on in Michigan over the ‘right to work’ laws (if you don’t know what they are look them up) – anyway the Unions are all torn up that that workers in Michigan can now get the benefit of the Union collective bargaining without having to pay for it…. and that pisses them off.

Now the irony is…

The liberals still don’t understand why tax payers get annoyed at the people not paying any taxes and getting all the benefits afforded the tax payer. They say they are greedy or mean or disenfranchises these people that live off the tax payer and put nothing into the system.

So it would seem the liberals are getting a little taste of their own medicine with right to work laws…. I hear them complain and I laugh and wonder if they final get it and some how I doubt it.

The Fiscal Cliff is Obama’s wet dream…

McConnell ‘Burst Into Laughter’ as Geithner Outlined Obama’s Plan

Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, says he “burst into laughter” Thursday when Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner outlined the administration proposal for averting the fiscal cliff. He wasn’t trying to embarrass Geithner, McConnell says, only responding candidly to his one-sided plan, explicit on tax increases, vague on spending cuts.

McConnell should laugh – this is the same damn stunt the Democrats pull all the time. Tax now and cut spending later … but later never comes. Te Democrats always make promises for some far off date the neither comes because they make a promises for a future congress that is not obligated to keep it.

Frankly, I think Obama and the Democrats want the country to go over the fiscal cliff – they want chaos and anarchy to seize more power. There is no way in hell we can ever pay off the debt and the unfunded liability is over a $100 trillion – the country is going to default on it’s debt, it is a ticking time bomb that I don’t think can be defused. The democrats could care less if this country goes up in flames it’s their wet dream that it does so they can install some third world despot government.

The government right now – all of them need to go – as long as we have more takers than payers it’s only going to get worse and the Democrats want a nation of takers – because what is given can be taken away and with that you can control people.

So in my opinion the Republican should call Obama’s bluff … pushing him to the edge and if it all fails, if it goes of the edge it will be his fault for not offering any real solutions.

What now…

[NOTE] I started this post right after the election was called for Obama – I thought I would let the dust settle and let it get cold before posting it… then I got busy getting up leaves in the yard and trying to make a buck where I can and there is sat until tonight…

So here it is what I wrote the day after the election…

Anyway… I hate Monday morning quarterbacking – the game has been played one team won and one lost end of story no amount of could’ve, would’ve, should’ve is going to change that – what we do now is figure out how to win the next game by establishing why we lost. Oh we can bitch about the refs making bad calls and the other team cheating of which I have no doubt, but what will that get us? Nothing.

2008 — In 2008 Obama ran on platitudes and empty rhetoric, then he spent the next 4 years blaming Bush and the Republican Party for everything wrong in the world on one hand and handing out candy with the other. Obama accused to the conservatives of being greedy while playing to peoples greed of wanting free things by promising them he would deliver. Obama is to the poor and downtrodden Santa Claus.

As for George Bush — I’m saying it now I agree with Obama on one thing … I blame Bush, but for vastly different reasons. Obama spent 4 years blaming Bush for everything wrong in the country and Bush said nothing. Oh at first it was admirable to remain respectful and silent to the current president but after a while you have have to say “OK dammit that’s enough.” and stand up for yourself and defend your actions while citing where Obama is wrong… it’s an old saying that silence implies consent. Why didn’t Bush defend his policies? I wasn’t a huge Bush fan nor was I in agreement of many of his policies but damn why stand there and get nut punched day after day and do nothing? We may never know, but what we do know is many people bought it and much of that was transferred onto the current republicans deserving or not and many people through ignorance still blame Bush having heard Obama whine for 4 years… who is he going to blame for the next four?

Abortion — Some of the republicans candidates said some really dumbass things about abortion during the campaign – abortion is a third rail in politics and when the economy is in the tank you can’t let the democrats make it an issue. Please! I never understood why republicans get caught in this trap ever election. Here is the answer you give on abortion… “I have my views and regardless if my view are in favor of or opposition to the law of land I’ll support and uphold the will of the majority.” There do you know where I stand? No I didn’t answer and that’s what democrats do they never answer and call it an answer.

Women’s Right? What right do women not have? For all these bitchy liberal women that think they have it so bad here in America… go to an Arab country and get back to me – if you live. It’s not my job to buy your birth control anymore than it’s your to buy my condoms. (Note you never see men testifying for free condoms – never.)

I could go on but I’ve got 4 more years to bitch and complain or I can just delete it all and join the rest of the copper tops in the matrix and enjoy ignorance while I watch American Idol and Honey Boo Boo.

GSA and the jobs numbers game – are they manipulating the numbers?

Hear is a little something I picked up on the grapevine about the large retail companies and the GSA and I hope one of our illustrious elected officials looks into not that they can do anything it’s just a game they all play…

First what is the GSA? Per Wiki…

GSA employs about 12,000 federal workers and has an annual operating budget of roughly $26.3 billion. GSA oversees $66 billion of procurement annually. It contributes to the management of about $500 billion in U.S. federal property, divided chiefly among 8,300 owned and leased buildings and a 210,000 vehicle motor pool. Among the real estate assets managed by the GSA are the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, the largest U.S. Federal building after The Pentagon and the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center which had previously been the Battle Creek Sanitarium run by John Harvey Kellogg.

All that to say that the GSA is the procurement department of the government and if a company does business with the government they need to provide so many jobs and hire so many people to help pad the government job creation numbers… since a company can’t just keep hiring people they don’t need so what to do?

Well companies like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Office Max, Office Depot and other big box stores that have government contracts have to list all job opening to the public on job websites, unemployment office or they own website even if the job is nothing more than a promotion to be filled internally and once that job is filled via promoting someone within the company is counted as a “job created” – even though no one was hired, no job was filled and no job was created but the government can claim that there is one less person looking for work because Billy Bob was promoted from a “Customer Service Associate I” to a “Customer Service Associate II” because a job opening for a CSA II was posted as open… and if these companies do not play the governments game they lose their big lucrative government contracts to be a supplier of goods. Think of it as the government acting as the mob shaking down a store owner for “protection”…. it’s really no difference.

So that’s the game…

A store has a job opening for a CSA II so it was filled via an internal promotion and the store can report they created a job by filling a vacancy even though no one was actually hired and dozens if not 100 of those out of work wasted their time applying for a job that they never had a chance at getting in the first place because it was all just a game to humor the government thugs so they could claim that x-number of jobs were created when in fact there were none.

So what is the result… well Obama will run around telling the country… Hey look at me I created 5.5 million new jobs! … but somehow the unemployment number is still higher than when he took office and there are 23 million fewer people in the workforce than when he took office and we’re supposed to believe he created jobs? How does that math work?

Simple companies report jobs created that weren’t (that way they can blame the company if caught) via the internal promotion game to keep the GSA shake down thugs happy, the unemployed seeking jobs run out of benefits and come off the job seeker rolls (they disappear as jobless) at about the same rate people working are losing their jobs due to cuts and closures and going on the jobless roll… so unemployment doesn’t really change from one month to the next and the jobs being created is nothing more than something shiny for the media to look at.

What about those 23-25 million people still looking for work but are no longer on the roles? Forget them they don’t count… according to the government.

So ask your liberal friends this…

… if Obama created jobs why hasn’t unemployment gone down?
… if the workforce has shrunk by 25 million no longer counted then shouldn’t that explains why welfare and food stamps recipients have doubled under Obama?

Don’t Be Fooled, The Obama Unemployment Rate Is 11%

Shrinking US workforce masks an otherwise sky-high jobless rate

19 days to start fixing the mess…

Report: Welfare government’s single largest budget item in FY 2011 at approx…
$1,030,000,000,000.00

This $1,030,000,000,000.00 does NOT included Social Security, Veteran benefits or Medicare.

The government spent approximately $1.03 trillion on 83 means-tested federal welfare programs in fiscal year 2011 alone — a price tag that makes welfare that year the government’s largest expenditure, according to new data released by the Republican side of the Senate Budget Committee.

The total sum taxpayers spent on federal welfare programs was derived from a new Congressional Research Service (CRS) report on federal welfare spending — which topped out at $745.84 billion for fiscal year 2011 — combined with an analysis from the Republican Senate Budget Committee staff of state spending on federal welfare programs (based on “The Oxford Handbook of State and Local Government Finance”), which reached $282.7 billion in fiscal year 2011.

The data excludes spending on Social Security, Medicare, means-tested health care for veterans without service-connected disabilities, and the means-tested veterans pension program.

Welfare spending jumps 32% in four years

The steady rise in welfare spending, which covers more than 80 programs primarily designed to help low-income Americans, got a big boost from the 2009 stimulus and has grown, albeit somewhat more slowly, in 2010 and 2011. One reason is that more people are qualifying in the weak economy, but the federal governmentalso has broadened eligibility so that more people qualify for programs.

We can’t continue to pay over trillion dollars a years on people to set around.

8,786,049: Yet Another Record for Americans Collecting Disability

The Social Security Administration has released new data revealing that 8,786,049 American workers are collecting federal disability insurance payments in September. That sets yet another record for the number of Americans on disability.

The 8,786,049 workers taking federal disability in September is a net increase of 18,108 from the 8,767,941 workers who took federal disability in August.

Over the past 45 years, the number of American workers taking federal disability payments has increased four-fold relative to the number actually working.

In August 1967, 74,767,000 Americans were working (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics) and 1,152,861 were taking federal disability insurance (according to the Social Security Administration). That means that at that time there were about 65 Americans working for each worker collecting disability.

In August 2012, 142,101,000 Americans were working and 8,767,941 were on disability–meaning there were only 16.2 people working for each person collecting disability.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a record 88,921,000 Americans were “not in the labor force” in August. These were Americans who were at least 16 years old, who were not in the military or in an institution such as a prison or a nursing home, and who did not have a job and had not actively sought one in the last four weeks.

Also in August, according to the BLS, only 63.5 percent of the civilian population (those over 16, who were not in the military or in an institution) participated in the labor force. That was the lowest level of labor force participation in 31 years. To participate in the labor force a person must either have a job or at least be actively trying to find one.

I know people who are disabled that can not get disability and I know people that are perfectly healthy that are on disability. In fact I know one girl in her early 20′s, she is slim and able but she is on disability because “she can’t pay attention” – when I heard that I said ‘I bet if those government checks didn’t show up on time she’d pay attention.’

Americans Joining Disability Now Outpacing Americans Finding Jobs

I know people that have been trying to get disability for years, people that are actually disabled – but they keep getting turned down while others with next to no disability are being approved in record time. Why? Well the group being turned down are of the majority and the ones being approved are of the minority – I guess being a minority is a disability… accept when it comes to getting government money.

Here are a few stats from the Weekly Standard -

Americans Joining Disability Now Outpacing Americans Finding Jobs

As the chart shows, between April-June 2012, an estimated 246,000 Americans were added to Social Security’s disability insurance program. In that same time period, only 225,000 American jobs were created.

As this chart shows, since 2008, 3.6 million Americans have been added to Social Security’s disability insurance program. In that same time period, a net total of 1.3 million jobs were lost.

“Amazingly, while fewer Americans are working than at the end of 2008, 3.6 million Americans have been awarded SSDI benefits over the same period. The growing number of people on disability and other federal benefits, combined with weak economic growth, raises serious concerns about the sustainability of the American economy,” Senator Jeff Sessions, ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, says in a statement in response to these new numbers.

Pelosi doesn’t like free loaders … she loves them.

Try to suffer through 59 second of Pelosi as she tries to call ObamaTax a penalty. This will be the MSM and Liberal spin until the election – the court called it a tax, the Obama Lawyers argued it was a tax and now they are trying to spin it into a something other than a tax.

YouTube Preview Image

PELOSI NEARLY CALLS OBAMACARE MANDATE A ‘TAX’ DURING CONTENTIOUS WORDSMITHING ON ‘MEET THE PRESS’

“It’s a penalty that comes under the Tax Code,” Pelosi said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” as host David Gregory pressed her to say whether she agreed with the Supreme Court, which deemed the law constitutional because the fee used to enforce the individual mandate amounts to a tax, or with President Barack Obama, who has maintained the fee is not a tax.

“It’s a ta—; it’s a penalty for free riders,” Pelosi said, nearly uttering the dreaded T-word before cutting herself off.

Remember Pelosi is the one that said that “We need to pass the bill to find out what’s in it” – I would call her an idiot but it would be an insult to idiots so as Sarah Pain said she is a dingbat but then again Palin endorsed Orin Hatch so that might be the pot calling the kettle black. Anyway it was Pelosi who also said unemployment and food stamps creates jobs and contraceptives help the economy and that ObamaCareTax would enable artist and poets and musicians to practice their craft – you do the math on those statements. Nancy Pelosi has said many amazingly ignorant and crazy things that she either actually believes or hopes that you will.

Frankly, I think it’s Botox gone bad.

But what I find really amazing is her contempt for the the very people she claims to champion – free loaders … oh she calls them “free riders” to church it up a bit but a spade is a shade no matter what you call it. See these people that can afford health insurance but opt not to buy it and who Pelosi calls a free riders often pay 100% out of pocket for their healthcare but Pelosi want you to believe you are picking up their tab and that is nothing a blatant lie!  However, lying isn’t new to a Democrat or Nancy Pelosi thay are known for it – just ask Barack Obama the absolute champion of liars.

For years I have been self-insured and I have paid 100% of my healthcare cost and not one thin dime came from the public at large – I am no free rider, free loader, free anything. I have had to wait in line behind dozens of real free loader that had bought one of their 10 or so children in the the ER for the stinking sniffles with their Medicare card in hand because if they showed up at the Doctor during regular hours they might have to pony up a few bucks of their own which more than likely came from a Welfare check we funded with tax dollars.

Let me give you a quick story – about a year or so ago I had to have some medical test, I didn’t think I needed them the Doctor did so I call around and get prices on the test from different hospitals and go with one of them. I take the test and pay the bill about a $1000 ($0.00 tax dollars involved) while there I spoke to the other Doctor who told me that if I was on Medicaid they would have only paid $115 (the taxpayer wouldn’t have paid, not the FREE LOADER on it) and he thought the if the hospital could accept that little for the government…  then they could accept that amount from me … but noooooo – see you and I with or without insurance are supplementing Medicare that we are already paying for with taxes! As it turned out the test were unnecessary and a waste of money and amazingly I knew more about the body I’ve been living in for 48 years than the Doctor that saw it for 2 minutes.

Weird huh?

Facts are I know several people that pay their own healthcare cost and none of them pass it on the the tax payer the way the free loaders that the Democrats depend on for votes do – oh they might have to make payments on their cost but they pay the bill themselves often negotiating a lower price in the spirit of the free market that they find out the price before getting the service and then pay for it themselves and that’s no free rider anymore than the ObamaTax is not a tax.

You can’t change what it is by giving it a new name.
