Liberals claim getting something for nothing is unfair… really? That’s new…

So I guess you’ve heard about the hub-bub going on in Michigan over the ‘right to work’ laws (if you don’t know what they are look them up) – anyway the Unions are all torn up that that workers in Michigan can now get the benefit of the Union collective bargaining without having to pay for it…. and that pisses them off.

Now the irony is…

The liberals still don’t understand why tax payers get annoyed at the people not paying any taxes and getting all the benefits afforded the tax payer. They say they are greedy or mean or disenfranchises these people that live off the tax payer and put nothing into the system.

So it would seem the liberals are getting a little taste of their own medicine with right to work laws…. I hear them complain and I laugh and wonder if they final get it and some how I doubt it.

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion on Obama family last year, perks questioned in new book

Posted By Alex Pappas On 11:32 PM 09/26/2012 @ 11:32 PM In DC Exclusives – Original Reporting,Featured,Politics

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Author Robert Keith Gray writes in “Presidential Perks Gone Royal” that Obama isn’t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

Gray told The Daily Caller that the $1.4 billion spent on the Obama family last year is the “total cost of the presidency,” factoring the cost of the “biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever,” a 50 percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One “running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.”

“The most concerning thing, I think, is the use of taxpayer funds to actually abet his re-election,” Gray, who worked in the Eisenhower administration and for other Republican presidents, said in an interview with TheDC on Wednesday.

“The press has been so slow in picking up on this extraordinary increase in the president’s expenses,” Gray told TheDC. (RELATED: Five shocking truths about Michelle Obama)

Specifically, Gray said taxpayer dollars are subsidizing Obama’s re-election effort when he uses Air Force One to jet across the country campaigning.

When the trip is deemed political, it’s customary for the president to pay the equivalent of a first class commercial ticket for certain passengers. But Gray says that hardly covers the taxpayer cost of flying the president and his staffers around on Air Force One.

“When the United States’ billion-dollar air armada is being used politically, is it fair to taxpayers that we only be reimbursed by the president’s campaign committee for the value of one first-class commercial ticket for each passenger who is deemed aboard ‘for political purposes?’” Gray asks in the book.

“And is that bargain-price advantage fair to those opposing an incumbent president?” (SEE ALSO: Millions of taxpayer dollars used for Disney World conference)

In the book, Gray admits Americans want their president to be safe and comfortable but argues the system should be reformed to stop the amount of unquestioned perks given to the president.

“There is no mechanism for anyone’s objection if a president were to pay his chief of staff $5,000,000 a year,” he told TheDC. “And nothing but a president’s conscience can dissuade him from buying his own reelection with use of some public money.”

Aside from a salary, the president gets a $50,000 a year expense account, a $100,000 travel account, $19,000 entertainment budget and an additional million for “unanticipated needs,” he notes.

Here is a sample of other pricey taxpayer funded perks exclusively reserved for the president:

The president can to appoint high-paid staffers without Senate confirmation: Obama has 469 senior staffers and 226 are paid more than $100,000 a year, according to the book. Seventy-seven are paid as much as $172,000 per year. He also has appointed 43 “czars.”

The president can vacation for free at Camp David: Gray writes that each round trip made to Camp David costs the taxpayers $25,350. It’s also estimated that the combined transportation and personnel costs for a Camp David visit are $295,000 per night.

The president has a full-time movie projectionist in the White House theater: Projectionists sleep at the White House and are there 24 hours a day in case anyone needs to see a movie. “Compared to the 450 times President Carter used the movie theater in his four years in the White House, the average American citizen, according to industry statistics, goes out to see a movie slightly less than five times a year,” Gray writes.

The president’s family’s gets certain travel and security expenses paid while vacationing: “First Lady Michelle Obama drew flack from the media and irate citizens when it was disclosed that, not counting Saturdays and Sundays, she spent 42 days on vacation — within the span of one year.”

The president’s dog gets its own high-paid staffer: “Bo made the news when he and his handler were flown to join the president on vacation in Maine,” Gray wrote about the Obama family dog. “It has been reported that the first family’s dog handler was paid $102,000, last year.”

Seriously a around the clock projectionist just IN CASE the dumbass wants to watch a movie? It time we start drilling home to him adoring masses what an elitist this asshat really is … but somehow I doubt it would matter, they’re just to stupid to get it. We taxpayers spent $1,400,000,000.00 on his extravagant life style … the British Royal family only cost the British taxpayer (subjects if you will) $57,800,00.00 … a mere fraction of the cost og Obama’s Family.

That needs to change…

GSA and the jobs numbers game – are they manipulating the numbers?

Hear is a little something I picked up on the grapevine about the large retail companies and the GSA and I hope one of our illustrious elected officials looks into not that they can do anything it’s just a game they all play…

First what is the GSA? Per Wiki…

GSA employs about 12,000 federal workers and has an annual operating budget of roughly $26.3 billion. GSA oversees $66 billion of procurement annually. It contributes to the management of about $500 billion in U.S. federal property, divided chiefly among 8,300 owned and leased buildings and a 210,000 vehicle motor pool. Among the real estate assets managed by the GSA are the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, the largest U.S. Federal building after The Pentagon and the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center which had previously been the Battle Creek Sanitarium run by John Harvey Kellogg.

All that to say that the GSA is the procurement department of the government and if a company does business with the government they need to provide so many jobs and hire so many people to help pad the government job creation numbers… since a company can’t just keep hiring people they don’t need so what to do?

Well companies like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Office Max, Office Depot and other big box stores that have government contracts have to list all job opening to the public on job websites, unemployment office or they own website even if the job is nothing more than a promotion to be filled internally and once that job is filled via promoting someone within the company is counted as a “job created” – even though no one was hired, no job was filled and no job was created but the government can claim that there is one less person looking for work because Billy Bob was promoted from a “Customer Service Associate I” to a “Customer Service Associate II” because a job opening for a CSA II was posted as open… and if these companies do not play the governments game they lose their big lucrative government contracts to be a supplier of goods. Think of it as the government acting as the mob shaking down a store owner for “protection”…. it’s really no difference.

So that’s the game…

A store has a job opening for a CSA II so it was filled via an internal promotion and the store can report they created a job by filling a vacancy even though no one was actually hired and dozens if not 100 of those out of work wasted their time applying for a job that they never had a chance at getting in the first place because it was all just a game to humor the government thugs so they could claim that x-number of jobs were created when in fact there were none.

So what is the result… well Obama will run around telling the country… Hey look at me I created 5.5 million new jobs! … but somehow the unemployment number is still higher than when he took office and there are 23 million fewer people in the workforce than when he took office and we’re supposed to believe he created jobs? How does that math work?

Simple companies report jobs created that weren’t (that way they can blame the company if caught) via the internal promotion game to keep the GSA shake down thugs happy, the unemployed seeking jobs run out of benefits and come off the job seeker rolls (they disappear as jobless) at about the same rate people working are losing their jobs due to cuts and closures and going on the jobless roll… so unemployment doesn’t really change from one month to the next and the jobs being created is nothing more than something shiny for the media to look at.

What about those 23-25 million people still looking for work but are no longer on the roles? Forget them they don’t count… according to the government.

So ask your liberal friends this…

… if Obama created jobs why hasn’t unemployment gone down?
… if the workforce has shrunk by 25 million no longer counted then shouldn’t that explains why welfare and food stamps recipients have doubled under Obama?

Thank you, America

Taken from the Daily Caller

Thank you, America. Thank you for re-electing Barack Obama.

Thank you for solidifying Obamacare. Thank you for ensuring that my health insurance rates will rise to the point where my employer drops my coverage. Thank you for future higher prescription drug prices, for lower quality care, for long lines to see my doctor, and for allowing a board of 15 people to determine my fate. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for making sure our media will be taking a coffee break for the next four years instead of holding our elected officials accountable (unless they’re Republicans, of course). Thank you for making sure we’ll never find out about how we lost a brave border agent who was shot by a gun from a government gun-running operation. Thank you for making sure we won’t find out about why our president lied about the circumstances surrounding the death of an ambassador. Thank you for seeing to it that we won’t find out that the government’s response to Sandy was worse than its response to Katrina. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for making sure we’ll continue to have an education system that teaches children that you are bad while ignoring the genius of your Declaration of Independence and your Constitution; that teaches children about birth control and gender equality but steers clear of God; that teaches children to rely on the government for the things they need instead of on themselves. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for ensuring that we will continue to run up huge deficits. Thank you for ensuring the continued abuse of the Fed, which will be free to print more money, eventually making it worth less than the paper it’s printed on. Thank you for piling that debt on my children, so they’ll have to work for your government and China’s, rather than for themselves and their families. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for making sure our military strength will be greatly reduced, in men and in supplies and equipment. Thank you for cementing poor relationships with our allies while coddling our enemies. Thank you for ensuring Iran gets a nuclear weapon, which it will not be afraid to use, probably resulting in another deadly global conflict down the road. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for ensuring that proposed regulations on oil drilling and coal mining will be implemented, which will cause gas and electricity prices to spike. Thank you for ensuring that we won’t be able to build new power plants and refineries. And thank you especially because these things will cause our everyday necessities, like food and transportation, to cost us more than ever before. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for ensuring that our religious institutions will be dictated to by your government, that they will have to provide services such as contraception and abortion even though doing so defies their most basic beliefs. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for making sure we will continue to further divide ourselves into groups and see ourselves only by our race, gender, age, sexual orientation and income, instead of seeing each other as Americans. Thank you, America.

Thank you, America, for the judges who will soon be sitting behind the benches in our courts, who will render decisions based on ideological social beliefs while ignoring the Constitution they’ve sworn to uphold. Thank you, America.

Yes, thank you, America, for all of these wonderful gifts you’ve given us by re-electing Barack Obama.

Of course, if I was bitter, I would have used another word besides “thank” in front of “you.”

The increase in tobacco taxes by 61 cents per pack that disproportionately effect the poor and these is on top of increasing state taxes. Oh as a side note I use to smoke Clove Cigarettes, Obama banned them because he side flavored cigarette attracted kids… but he made an exception for menthol cigarettes like he smokes such as Newport’s and Kool’s that are generally smoked by Blacks. So I guess his ban on flavored cigarettes was racist too.

Bullshit Detector Overload

Obama’s AARP Speech Broke My BS Detector

By on 9.24.12 @ 6:09AM

The President told so many whoppers last Friday that it fried the machine’s circuits

President Obama spoke via satellite to the AARP “Life@50+” convention last Friday morning and I was foolish enough to turn on my patented BS Detector during the event. Unlike the “fact checkers” employed by the MSM, its special BUNK software was written such that it could recognize White House talking points and separate such input from actual facts. It turns out, however, to have had a fatal design flaw. Although I had successfully tested it on several pathological liars, and even a couple of lawyers, it simply didn’t have the capacity to process the volume of BS contained in a typical Obama speech. The machine was a smoking hulk by the time the President finished answering the final question from the AARP audience.

I probably should have turned it off after observing its reaction to Obama’s first claim about Obamacare’s positive effect on Medicare: “We’ve added years to the life of the program by getting rid of taxpayer subsidies to insurance companies that weren’t making people healthier …” This preposterous assertion, an attempt to put a positive spin on Obamacare’s $200 billion in cuts to the popular Medicare Advantage (MA) program, caused the device to whistle, buzz, and hop around like R2D2 on steroids. And when the President made the additional claim that, “over the next 10 years, we expect the average Medicare beneficiary to save nearly $5,000 as a result of this law,” the machine began to make an odd whimpering noise.

It should have been no surprise that the device responded thus to Obama’s Medicare Advantage lie. As David Hogberg reports at Investor’s Business Daily, “ObamaCare imposes major cuts on the popular Medicare Advantage program, and while the Obama administration has largely delayed them until after the election, enrollees will lose an average $515 in benefits in 2013, according to an IBD analysis.” MA is, of course, a program that allows Medicare beneficiaries to enroll in plans run by private insurance companies. They are very popular, particularly among lower income and minority seniors, because of their flexibility and lower out-of-pocket expenses. Nonetheless, “ObamaCare will cut MA by at least $7.4 billion in 2013.”

Hogberg’s allusion to a delay in these massive cuts until after the election involves a legally dubious Obama administration tactic that I wrote about last April. As the election approached, the President’s re-election team realized the seniors most likely to be affected by the cuts were due to find out about them just weeks before Election Day. Knowing that this would undoubtedly produce a lot of votes for Mitt Romney, they began casting about for a plan to prevent this disaster. HHS Commissar Sebelius came to the rescue with an $8.3 billion “demonstration project” that would temporarily restore MA funds so that seniors in key states wouldn’t begin losing their MA benefits just before it was time to vote.

My BS detection device didn’t actually begin to smoke until Obama started talking about the mythical Medicare trust fund: “We lengthened the life of the trust fund by eight years.” This lie not only caused serious damage to my machine’s internal circuitry, it was too much even for the administration’s lickspittles over at Politico. Recognizing this as Obamacare’s notorious double-counting scam, David Nather points out that the chief actuary of CMS says it is “not possible to count the Medicare cuts as paying for the health care law and extending the trust fund at the same time. ‘In practice, the improved HI financing cannot be simultaneously used to finance other Federal outlays (such as the coverage expansions) and to extend the trust fund.’”

Paul Ryan reiterated the same point during his own speech to Friday’s AARP audience, “You can’t spend the same dollar twice… You don’t have to take my word for it. Ask the chief actuary at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.” This is why Ryan continues to hammer home the point that Obamacare raids Medicare for $716 billion. It is this huge amount of money that Obama and his accomplices claim that they can use to extend the life of Medicare while simultaneously using it to pay for part of Obamacare. Ryan wrapped up his commentary on that topic as follows: “If anyone tries to tell you that ObamaCare strengthened Medicare, just ask them, ‘Where’s the other $716 billion?’”

Sadly, it was the President’s claims about Ryan’s bipartisan plan to save Medicare that precipitated the final meltdown of my BS Detector. Ignoring the fact that every health policy expert worthy of the name has debunked the claim, Obama told the convention’s attendees that Ryan and Mitt Romney want to turn Medicare into a voucher system: “Now, my opponents have pledged to repeal [ObamaCare]… which means billions in new profits for insurance companies, but also would mean immediately increased costs for seniors and would bankrupt the Medicare trust fund in just four years. And what would they replace it with? Their plan replaces guaranteed Medicare benefits with a voucher that wouldn’t keep up with costs.”

This is a brazen lie, and the President knows it. Factcheck.org, an outfit that is by no means biased in the direction of the GOP, confirms that the plan involves no vouchers: ‘Under Ryan’s plan the federal government would pay insurance companies directly, just as it now pays for most of the cost of health insurance for millions of federal workers and retirees.” So, why did the President repeat this stretcher? During the question-and-answer period following his speech, Ryan matter-of-factly explained why Obama and other Democrats keep repeating it: “Voucher is a poll-tested word basically designed to scare today’s seniors.… A voucher is when you go to your mail boxes, you get a check and you are on your own. No one is proposing that.”

Ryan went on to explain that the GOP formula for saving Medicare would merely turn the program into one similar to that which is enjoyed by federal employees, while introducing free market reforms that have already been shown to work under Medicare Part D. He also reminded the audience that no one currently in the Medicare program would be affected in any way by the plan. Such candor from a politician who actually understands health care was refreshing. But it was too late to save my new BS Detector from the tsunami of manure poured on the AARP convention by Obama. Its smoldering remains sit there, a silent rebuke for my rash decision to submit it to such a trial. I will now give it a decent burial.

The good thing is most seniors are not easily fooled by Obama’s bullshit – while I’m still a few month shy of 50 and I’ve always had a really fine tuned bullshit detector – the older I get the more sensitive it becomes at detecting bullshit which might have a lot to do with why I hate going to stores anymore seems everyone is full of bullshit and I’ve reached that age where you don’t have to holster it, you just tell them… that’s bullshit.

8,786,049: Yet Another Record for Americans Collecting Disability

The Social Security Administration has released new data revealing that 8,786,049 American workers are collecting federal disability insurance payments in September. That sets yet another record for the number of Americans on disability.

The 8,786,049 workers taking federal disability in September is a net increase of 18,108 from the 8,767,941 workers who took federal disability in August.

Over the past 45 years, the number of American workers taking federal disability payments has increased four-fold relative to the number actually working.

In August 1967, 74,767,000 Americans were working (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics) and 1,152,861 were taking federal disability insurance (according to the Social Security Administration). That means that at that time there were about 65 Americans working for each worker collecting disability.

In August 2012, 142,101,000 Americans were working and 8,767,941 were on disability–meaning there were only 16.2 people working for each person collecting disability.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a record 88,921,000 Americans were “not in the labor force” in August. These were Americans who were at least 16 years old, who were not in the military or in an institution such as a prison or a nursing home, and who did not have a job and had not actively sought one in the last four weeks.

Also in August, according to the BLS, only 63.5 percent of the civilian population (those over 16, who were not in the military or in an institution) participated in the labor force. That was the lowest level of labor force participation in 31 years. To participate in the labor force a person must either have a job or at least be actively trying to find one.

I know people who are disabled that can not get disability and I know people that are perfectly healthy that are on disability. In fact I know one girl in her early 20′s, she is slim and able but she is on disability because “she can’t pay attention” – when I heard that I said ‘I bet if those government checks didn’t show up on time she’d pay attention.’
