Americans’ poorest since the failed War on Poverty began …

I’m sorry I read this piece from the UK Daily Mail and I thought I’d make a comment, but the more I read the more I thought it needed to be taken apart… normally the UK Daily Mail is OK but they are off the rails in the majority of this story …

U.S. sees highest poverty spike since the 1960s, leaving 50 million Americans poor as government cuts billions in spending… so does that mean there’s no way out?

The number of Americans living in poverty has spiked to levels not seen since the mid 1960s, classing 20 per cent of the country’s children as poor.

It comes at a time when government spending cuts of $85 billion have kicked in after feuding Democrats and Republicans failed to agree on a better plan for addressing the national deficit.

The cuts will directly affect 50 million Americans living below the poverty income line and reduce their chances of finding work and a better life.

Bullshit … no they won’t

Before spending cuts kicked in on March 1st, 49-year-old Antonio Hammond became a success story for Catholic Charities of Baltimore – one of a multitude of organizations trying to haul people out of poverty.

In this Maryland port city, one of four residents is considered poor by U.S. government standards.

Hammond says he ended up in Baltimore three years ago, addicted to crack cocaine and snorting heroin, living in abandoned buildings where “the rats were fierce,” and financing his addiction by breaking into cars and stealing copper pipes out of crumbing structures.

Eighteen months after finding his way to Catholic Charities via a rehabilitation center, the Philadelphia native is back in the work force, clean of drugs, earning $13 an hour cleaning laboratories for the Biotech Institute of Maryland and paying taxes.

OK great what does this have to do with sequester cuts? It’s not like the taxpayer got him on crack cocaine and snorting heroin …. he had money for drugs and didn’t spend it on housing which is why he was living in abandoned buildings where the rats were fierce. Boo Hoo Hoo crackhead, no one forced you to do drugs, your bed you sleep in it.

Catholic Charities, which runs a number of federally funded programs, spent $18,000 from privately donated funds to turn around Hammond’s life through the organization’s Christopher’s Place program which provides housing and support services to recovering addicts and former prisoners.

Such success stories are in danger as billions in federal government spending cuts begin squeezing services for the poor nationwide.

How? What Federal funded programs …. they said right there that spent privately donated funds – so which is it? Private money or taxpayer money? I bet it was money given to them by poor people … and it wasn’t federal money so how does the sequester effect that?

They are hitting as the U.S. slowly climbs out of the deepest economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

“All I wanted to do was get high,” Hammond said. “I didn’t even know any more how to eat or clean myself.”

Now he lives with two other men in housing subsidized by the charity, got his driver’s license and bought a car. What he marvels at the most is that he has been accepted after a 20-year absence by some of his nine children. That’s the best part, he said. “At least I know now they might not hate me.”

Again private money … I still ask what does this have to do with sequester or Federal spending? Not a damn thing …

The U.S. Census Bureau puts the number of Americans in poverty at levels not seen since the mid-1960s when President Lyndon B. Johnson launched the federal government’s so-called War on Poverty.

So this war is lost to quote Harry Reid – it’s time to get out of it, time to wrap it up and call it done, no ground has been gained and over NINE TRILLION DOLLARS has been spent on a lost cause. Just think of what better things that could have been done with $9,000,000,000,000.00 …

As President Barack Obama began his second term in January, nearly 50 million Americans — one in six — were living below the income line that defines poverty, according to the bureau. A family of four that earns less than $23,021 a year is listed as living in poverty.

The bureau said 20 percent of the country’s children are poor.

Although it is far from the country’s poorest city, Baltimore’s poverty rate far outstrips the national average of one in six.

Oh the second term of Jimmy Carter and LBJ wrapped up in one … seems Obama is failing and his programs are failing and his ideas are failing and thank to his poor leadership America is failing too. More Americans are on food stamps, disability, welfare, unemployment than ever before and those numbers were a reality before the sequester was put in place … notice how the Mail left those inconvenient truths out of the story.

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is a conduit for state and federal money for programs designed to help the poor. The charity plays a major role in administering Head Start, a federal program that provides educational services for low-income pre-school children and frees single mothers to find work without the huge expense of childcare.

The spending cuts, known as the sequester, are going to hit Head Start especially hard.

“Before the sequester only half of the need was being met. Now, after the cuts fully take effect, there will be 900 children already in the program who won’t be able to take part,” said William McCarthy, executive director of Catholic Charities.

How long has Head Start been around and yet they are kids graduating from High School that can not read and write? As high as 80% in some places are sending illiterates into the world with a diploma. A lot of good a head start did them as they fall further behind. Head Start is actually a low income preschool funding, but I’d called government funded indoctrination.

There is no question the national belt-tightening “will deepen and increase poverty,” said McCarthy, citing the cuts in long-term care for poor seniors including assisted living and nursing care, and fewer low-income housing spaces, among other ripple effects.

Under the spending cuts, Baltimore Housing Commissioner Paul T. Graziano said his agency faces a $25 million shortfall in funds to help poor people with housing.

Funny how these people don’t whine about how Obama and Biden and their families go on vacation after vacation after vacation spending million of dollars of taxpayer money … what would that money do to help the huddled masses and downtrodden if the Obama girls just spent one spring break at home or Michelle skipped a few meal and shopped at K-Mart or if Barry would forgo a few games of golf or even if Obama admitted he’s not a athlete and stopped trying to act like one? How many of the poor would that help and where is their concern over that?

There are 35,000 people on the waiting list. He also lamented cuts that will hamper the city’s efforts to clean up or demolish blighted neighborhoods.

Baltimore has 15,000 vacant and abandoned structures as a result of a steep population decline over the past half century.
“It’s very, very disheartening. We take a couple of steps forward and then fall back at least one. The private sector isn’t going to fix these neighborhoods. I view these things as investments, not expenditures. These things are an investment in the future that bring returns many times over,” he said.

Yeah the private sector can fix them and do a better job, faster job and do it cheaper … here’s an idea … sell the property to private investors and let them tear it down! Crazy idea huh? The city makes money and gets rid of the buildings/property. If they need cleaning up or refurbished give the buildings to private investor on the condition they clean them up and a portion of them have to be low income housing for a  given number of years … make sure people know this going in so they aren’t whining that evil capitalist are kicking them to the curb when their housing obligation is up … oh who am I kidding they will still whine, they’re liberals and it’s all they know how to do is whine and cry that it is happening … so forget that, just sell them at fair market value and use the money made selling other property to fix up a few yourself. See this is not hard to figure … but it’s easier to whine and bitch that do something.

While the U.S. economy is slowly recovering, improvements for those deep in poverty do not keep pace with the cuts now in place.

Recovery? What recovery? Listen Daily Mail … you are in England try living here and see how great this recovery is … you bloody clueless limies.

The spending reductions going into effect will hit hardest at Americans whose prospects are not directly tied to the economy — people like Antonio Hammond and children in the Head Start pre-school programs.

Whoa, whoa, whoa … Former crackhead Hammond was help with private charity money you said so yourself a few paragraphs ago, think we forgot that by this point in this sad sack story? And as I said Head Start is really nothing more than Federally funded indoctrination program design to provide daycare for those that keep pumping out babies for a gum’ment check.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said Baltimore depends on federal grants and funding for 12 percent of its budget.

The austerity cuts “to housing programs_as well as those to public safety, health, and education_will have an adverse effect on Baltimore and throughout the country,” she said.

The cuts, which will also hit U.S. defense spending, were designed two years ago as an incentive for lawmakers to avoid a standoff over the federal debt and a potential government shutdown.

Really then why is Baltimore and their mayor offering over a $100 million in tax breaks to the Harbor if they are so broke and “housing programs as well as those to public safety, health, and education will have an adverse effect”? Answer that genius?

The measures were seen as so onerous as to force Republicans and Democrats in Congress to reach a compromise spending plan. But compromise proved impossible before the March 1 deadline, and what were once seen as unthinkable cuts automatically went into effect.

Democrats want a deficit reduction plan that includes some spending cuts and tax increases on the wealthy. Republicans balk at any more tax increases and insist the problem should be addressed solely by reigning in spending. That feud continues as the two sides battle out future fiscal issues.

Republicans want to see even more cuts in next year’s budget, reductions that would, by and large, return military spending to pre-sequester levels and provide big tax benefits to wealthy Americans.

A 2014 budget plan proposed by Rep. Paul Ryan, the vice presidential candidate on the unsuccessful Republican presidential ticket last year, would be particularly tough on social safety net programs.

His plan would slash $135 billion over the next decade from the program that provides food aid for low-income Americans. Nearly three-quarters of households receiving help from the program include children, who, census figures show, are the group hardest hit by poverty.

Ryan’s plan would also turn the government’s Medicare health insurance program for Americans age 65 and over into a voucher system, providing direct government payments to seniors who would then try to buy insurance on the private market.

Like how they write that … “slash $135 billion over the next decade from the program that provides food aid for low-income Americans” …. $135 billion over 10 year … or $13.5 Billion a years in a budget of $3.7 TRILLION! It’s chump change in government terms! It fact it’s only 0.003% of the budget and that is SLASHING!!! OMG GRANDMA IS GOING TO DIE!!! That’s not even trimming.

Ryan defends his drive for austerity as necessary to begin shrinking the country’s $16 trillion national debt.

“If we never balance the budget, if we keep adding deficit upon deficit we have a debt crisis like Europe has.

That means seniors lose their health care benefit, that means the people in the safety net see the net cut and they go in the street.

That means you have a recession. These are the things we prevent from happening by balancing the budget.

Balancing the budget is but a means to an end. It’s growing the economy, it’s creating opportunity, it’s getting government to live within its means,” he said in an interview with Fox News.

OH here is what got the Mail’s panties in a wad … Paul Ryan compared Obama’s spending and our debt to Europe … granted England claims they aren’t part of Europe … but we know there are. They are as broke as the rest of the EU.

Obama backs increasing taxes on the wealthy while instituting smaller government spending cuts, a plan that would reduce deficit spending but more slowly. He and most fellow Democrats argue that European-style austerity has not worked there and will harm the U.S. recovery from the Great Recession.

It’s an ideological fight that dates back decades. Republicans work from the premise that by unleashing the private sector and removing government controls, all Americans will prosper along with the economy and benefits will flow down to lower-income earners.

Democrats insist there is an essential role for government in putting a floor under the poor and helping local governments with problems that the private sector cannot or will not shoulder.

Translation take from everybody that has any money (i.e. a job) and increase government spending to continue to keep the poor in the slavery of the dole and voting for their democrat masters.

Some worry the gap between rich and poor in the U.S. will keep widening under the austerity measures.

According to a report by the non-partisan Congressional Research Service late last year, “U.S.

income distribution appears to be among the most unequal of all major industrialized countries and the United States appears to be among the nations experiencing the greatest increases in measures of income.”

Are the rich really getting richer or is it just the poor getting poorer under Obama? Rising energy, food, medical cost are going to naturally effect those at the bottom more so than those ate the top. I know some rich people and I know they aren’t making more money.

Mary Anne O’Donnell, director of community services at Catholic Charities of Baltimore, said increasing income inequality has shown itself dramatically during the U.S. downturn.

“In the last three years, there’s been a great change in the kinds of people we are serving. There are increasing numbers of people who owned a home, lost their jobs, end up living in their car and are coming with children to our soup kitchen,” she said.

Her organization spent $126 million in the last fiscal year feeding the poor, helping them find jobs and housing, running nursing homes and putting men like Hammond back on their feet.

Of that figure, $98 million came from various programs funded by the city, state and federal governments. Those now face the big cuts as politicians in Washington fail to find a compromise.

Yeah but at the top of this article the Catholic Charity said that they were helping people with privately donated money … I’m pretty sure that this privately donated money isn’t coming from the poor. So keep kicking the rich and those that give to charity and they’ll close their checkbook and wallets faster than you can say “community organizer” and then who is to blame.

Stop spinning Daily Mail you’re better than that – do something novel and do some honest reporting.

What if you only made $246.90 a week?

First of all the way business has been in my little depressed area I’d call $246.90 a week a good week and I’m not joking … but I digress.

So let’s say you make only $246.90 a week … but you are spending $379.55 a week and you owe the bank $1,673.20 – I’m guessing you’d say you had a problem! After all you are spending $132.65 more than you make and according to the bank you’ve been doing it for a while and not making any effort to pay down your debt.

You’ve asked your boss for more money, but your boss is tapped out and you just can’t keep putting it on a credit card, so what to do?

Cut your expenses right? You start spending less, you look at the places you are wasting money and you stop because you know your debt is a ticking time bomb.

Well that is the Federal government, I’ve just moved the decimal points to make the numbers a little graspable … we take in $2.469 Trillion in revenue… the government is spending $3.795 Trillion and we have $16.732 Trillion in debt and the tax payer (i.e. the boss) is tapped out … after all the bosses expenses has gone up and they’re not making more money so it’s not possible for them to share the wealth … there is none to share.

But Obama and many in congress including some Republicans don’t see this deficit spending as a problem and sadly the numbers are so big that most people can’t get their minds around it. After all there was a report recently that 80% of the kids leaving high school can’t effectively read and write, how do you expect them to grasp trillion dollar debts and trillion dollar spending and that in reality this money has to be paid back and that you just can’t declare bankruptcy and start over without a complete collapse of the system.

So what to do? They will not spot spending, raising taxes will do nothing but kill the economy deader than it is now… perhaps it’s time we just stop giving them money. Treat them like a crackhead and cut them off from their addiction. I think it’s getting to the point to where that is all they will understand.

Are you a Libertarian? Part 1

I’ve long said I’m a Libertarian – oh I’ve got the crazy libs calling me a Repubtard or a NeoCon which just goes to show you how little research they do before they start throwing stones at me. So let me tell you now that in my opinion I’m a Libertarian and I was one for a long time before I knew I was one … so are you one too? Odds are you are more Libertarian than you think.

Now for the record I live in Kentucky … you know Rand Paul country and Rand represents the prevailing view of most Kentuckians, sadly most Kentuckians are Democrats even though they vote Republicans … old habits die hard. Anyway like Rand in Kentucky if you want to run for anything, vote for anything you have to be registered in one of the two major parties. See the GOP has many times introduced legislation for open elections but the libtards in the Democrat control House block it – I could go into a long list of reason why but in short it’s about party control as I think people would leave the Democrats in mass with open elections and most would call themselves “independents.”

Anyway …

What is a Libertarian? Well you could click that link and read about it on the Libertarian FAQ page. But I’ll tell you what it is to me.

The main belief to me is PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY – I will help those that cannot help themselves. the disabled, the infirm, the elderly, but I refuse to help the clueless and lazy. Screw them they’ll either starve or get up off their ass and find a job. See I believe government handout enable people to be lazy and why work when you can be paid to set on your butt? Self pride, like chivalry is dead for many people.

So let’s go down the list of some Libertarian beliefs …

First one that is often associated with Libertarians … DRUGS! The common belief is all Libertarians want all drug legal. Well this is not entirely correct and since I can’t speak for everyone I’ll speak for me – it all goes back to PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY – if you want to do drugs, then do it … BUT don’t come looking to me to bail you out, pay for your rehab, pay for your housing, pay for anything. It’s your life and if you screw it up it’s on you and you pay for your screw ups.

Well Dave… what about the children, the sweet innocent little children of these free wheeling crack whore druggies? Are you just going to let them starve and die in the street? (see you are a Republicans said in a Libtard voice) NO! NO! NO! But the solution is simple and full of common sense -  if you are not fit to raise yourself then you are not fit to raise your children and there are plenty of people that are willing and able to do it. If that wasn’t the case then we wouldn’t have so many adopted children from Asia or the former Soviet Union and Central and South America … seems to me there is a child shortage in the US among responsible want to be parents. Good gawd do we have to import our children too? I think not!

Other issues are the size of government … anti-Libertarians like Juan McLame, Lindsey Gramnasty and the rest of the Democrat Party will try to tell you that Libertarians do not want any government at all … none, zero, zip, nada. The Libertarians want anarchy – this too is untrue. Government is here of protect the country, build the interstate infrastructure and issue the most general of regulations and nothing close to the micro-manage regulation gigantic government we have today. General regulations like one person, one vote and take non-partisan measures to insure that. Protection like actually securing the boarder and if it pisses Mexico (and Canada) off – to damn bad. We put country first, not what other countries think first. I don’t care what other countries think we have problems at home that need to be dealt with and I really don’t care what China, Europe, Russia, Mexico or anyone else thinks about it.

Another misbelief is “isolationism” – many wold tell you (Juan McLame) that the Libertarian kids want to take out toys and go home, pull the blinds and close the door. This too is bullshit – we live in a global economy that we’ve let the world walk all over us for years. It’s time we bring jobs home and sell out stuff to them instead of our jobs going there just so we can buy them back. Libtards talk about a level playing field for all while they cripple our economy with burdensome regulation, taxation, rules and a overall government hostility to business. I say free up the market and let demand and desire rule the day … how you ask? No minimum wage … minimum wage is nothing but a detriment to the wage price spiral and anyone with a basic understanding gets that if you increase the baseline wage then the baseline price of goods with go out … since places like China and India do not have a baseline wage they can beat us all day long in the wholesale market. Now I don’t think we should hire workers at 50 cents a day slaving away for 18 hours a day in unhealthy conditions, but what I do think is that the market should set the price if someone is willing to work for $5.00 or $4.00 an hour or less then let them and if a employer can’t find people to work for those wages then they’ll have to pay more it’s called the free market. It’s simple economics and I don’t expect the libtards to understand it …

Well this is going to take more time and space than I thought so this is the end of Part 1 … stay tuned for Part 2 in a few days.

Obama: Sequester cuts will cost hundreds of thousands of jobs

President Obama sought to sound the alarm on sequester cuts once again and blame Congress for failing to avert them as the clock ticks down on their implementation.

Starting next Friday, he said, the cuts will cost hundreds of thousands of jobs and excoriate the economy. They were never designed to happen, he said.

“This was all designed to say ‘We can’t do these bad cuts, we need to do something smarter,’” Obama said at a White House event.

He was flanked by first responders whose ability to help in emergencies will be “degraded,” Obama said. The president said the sequester cuts will affect military readiness, weaken federal law enforcement and across the nation, cause thousands of teachers to be laid off.

“Here’s the thing,” Obama said. “They don’t have to happen.”

With Congress in recess this week, it’s unclear what progress will be made, if any. But the president suggested he’s ready to work something out, provided the solution includes both spending cuts and tax revenues.

“My door is open,” he said, but cautioned “deficit reduction is not an economic plan.”

Whoa wait what was that last bit … “deficit reduction is not an economic plan.” … since when? Isn’t rule once of a household budget is to take in more than your spend and reduce spending if you have deficit spending? I’d call that a economic plan …

Senate-Passed Deal Means Higher Tax on 77% of Household

The budget deal passed by the U.S. Senate today would raise taxes on 77.1 percent of U.S. households, mostly because of the expiration of a payroll tax cut, according to preliminary estimates from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center in Washington.

More than 80 percent of households with incomes between $50,000 and $200,000 would pay higher taxes. Among the households facing higher taxes, the average increase would be $1,635, the policy center said. A 2 percent payroll tax cut, enacted during the economic slowdown, is being allowed to expire as of yesterday.

I don’t know about you but in these tough economic times the toughest since the great depression to quote the resident moron in the White House … I can’t afford to give up another $1600.00 or so in taxes to support their life style.

The Fiscal Cliff is Obama’s wet dream…

McConnell ‘Burst Into Laughter’ as Geithner Outlined Obama’s Plan

Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, says he “burst into laughter” Thursday when Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner outlined the administration proposal for averting the fiscal cliff. He wasn’t trying to embarrass Geithner, McConnell says, only responding candidly to his one-sided plan, explicit on tax increases, vague on spending cuts.

McConnell should laugh – this is the same damn stunt the Democrats pull all the time. Tax now and cut spending later … but later never comes. Te Democrats always make promises for some far off date the neither comes because they make a promises for a future congress that is not obligated to keep it.

Frankly, I think Obama and the Democrats want the country to go over the fiscal cliff – they want chaos and anarchy to seize more power. There is no way in hell we can ever pay off the debt and the unfunded liability is over a $100 trillion – the country is going to default on it’s debt, it is a ticking time bomb that I don’t think can be defused. The democrats could care less if this country goes up in flames it’s their wet dream that it does so they can install some third world despot government.

The government right now – all of them need to go – as long as we have more takers than payers it’s only going to get worse and the Democrats want a nation of takers – because what is given can be taken away and with that you can control people.

So in my opinion the Republican should call Obama’s bluff … pushing him to the edge and if it all fails, if it goes of the edge it will be his fault for not offering any real solutions.

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion on Obama family last year, perks questioned in new book

Posted By Alex Pappas On 11:32 PM 09/26/2012 @ 11:32 PM In DC Exclusives – Original Reporting,Featured,Politics

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Author Robert Keith Gray writes in “Presidential Perks Gone Royal” that Obama isn’t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

Gray told The Daily Caller that the $1.4 billion spent on the Obama family last year is the “total cost of the presidency,” factoring the cost of the “biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever,” a 50 percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One “running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.”

“The most concerning thing, I think, is the use of taxpayer funds to actually abet his re-election,” Gray, who worked in the Eisenhower administration and for other Republican presidents, said in an interview with TheDC on Wednesday.

“The press has been so slow in picking up on this extraordinary increase in the president’s expenses,” Gray told TheDC. (RELATED: Five shocking truths about Michelle Obama)

Specifically, Gray said taxpayer dollars are subsidizing Obama’s re-election effort when he uses Air Force One to jet across the country campaigning.

When the trip is deemed political, it’s customary for the president to pay the equivalent of a first class commercial ticket for certain passengers. But Gray says that hardly covers the taxpayer cost of flying the president and his staffers around on Air Force One.

“When the United States’ billion-dollar air armada is being used politically, is it fair to taxpayers that we only be reimbursed by the president’s campaign committee for the value of one first-class commercial ticket for each passenger who is deemed aboard ‘for political purposes?’” Gray asks in the book.

“And is that bargain-price advantage fair to those opposing an incumbent president?” (SEE ALSO: Millions of taxpayer dollars used for Disney World conference)

In the book, Gray admits Americans want their president to be safe and comfortable but argues the system should be reformed to stop the amount of unquestioned perks given to the president.

“There is no mechanism for anyone’s objection if a president were to pay his chief of staff $5,000,000 a year,” he told TheDC. “And nothing but a president’s conscience can dissuade him from buying his own reelection with use of some public money.”

Aside from a salary, the president gets a $50,000 a year expense account, a $100,000 travel account, $19,000 entertainment budget and an additional million for “unanticipated needs,” he notes.

Here is a sample of other pricey taxpayer funded perks exclusively reserved for the president:

The president can to appoint high-paid staffers without Senate confirmation: Obama has 469 senior staffers and 226 are paid more than $100,000 a year, according to the book. Seventy-seven are paid as much as $172,000 per year. He also has appointed 43 “czars.”

The president can vacation for free at Camp David: Gray writes that each round trip made to Camp David costs the taxpayers $25,350. It’s also estimated that the combined transportation and personnel costs for a Camp David visit are $295,000 per night.

The president has a full-time movie projectionist in the White House theater: Projectionists sleep at the White House and are there 24 hours a day in case anyone needs to see a movie. “Compared to the 450 times President Carter used the movie theater in his four years in the White House, the average American citizen, according to industry statistics, goes out to see a movie slightly less than five times a year,” Gray writes.

The president’s family’s gets certain travel and security expenses paid while vacationing: “First Lady Michelle Obama drew flack from the media and irate citizens when it was disclosed that, not counting Saturdays and Sundays, she spent 42 days on vacation — within the span of one year.”

The president’s dog gets its own high-paid staffer: “Bo made the news when he and his handler were flown to join the president on vacation in Maine,” Gray wrote about the Obama family dog. “It has been reported that the first family’s dog handler was paid $102,000, last year.”

Seriously a around the clock projectionist just IN CASE the dumbass wants to watch a movie? It time we start drilling home to him adoring masses what an elitist this asshat really is … but somehow I doubt it would matter, they’re just to stupid to get it. We taxpayers spent $1,400,000,000.00 on his extravagant life style … the British Royal family only cost the British taxpayer (subjects if you will) $57,800,00.00 … a mere fraction of the cost og Obama’s Family.

That needs to change…

Hear is a little something I picked up on the grapevine about the large retail companies and the GSA and I hope one of our illustrious elected officials looks into not that they can do anything it’s just a game they all play…

First what is the GSA? Per Wiki…

GSA employs about 12,000 federal workers and has an annual operating budget of roughly $26.3 billion. GSA oversees $66 billion of procurement annually. It contributes to the management of about $500 billion in U.S. federal property, divided chiefly among 8,300 owned and leased buildings and a 210,000 vehicle motor pool. Among the real estate assets managed by the GSA are the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, the largest U.S. Federal building after The Pentagon and the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center which had previously been the Battle Creek Sanitarium run by John Harvey Kellogg.

All that to say that the GSA is the procurement department of the government and if a company does business with the government they need to provide so many jobs and hire so many people to help pad the government job creation numbers… since a company can’t just keep hiring people they don’t need so what to do?

Well companies like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Office Max, Office Depot and other big box stores that have government contracts have to list all job opening to the public on job websites, unemployment office or they own website even if the job is nothing more than a promotion to be filled internally and once that job is filled via promoting someone within the company is counted as a “job created” – even though no one was hired, no job was filled and no job was created but the government can claim that there is one less person looking for work because Billy Bob was promoted from a “Customer Service Associate I” to a “Customer Service Associate II” because a job opening for a CSA II was posted as open… and if these companies do not play the governments game they lose their big lucrative government contracts to be a supplier of goods. Think of it as the government acting as the mob shaking down a store owner for “protection”…. it’s really no difference.

So that’s the game…

A store has a job opening for a CSA II so it was filled via an internal promotion and the store can report they created a job by filling a vacancy even though no one was actually hired and dozens if not 100 of those out of work wasted their time applying for a job that they never had a chance at getting in the first place because it was all just a game to humor the government thugs so they could claim that x-number of jobs were created when in fact there were none.

So what is the result… well Obama will run around telling the country… Hey look at me I created 5.5 million new jobs! … but somehow the unemployment number is still higher than when he took office and there are 23 million fewer people in the workforce than when he took office and we’re supposed to believe he created jobs? How does that math work?

Simple companies report jobs created that weren’t (that way they can blame the company if caught) via the internal promotion game to keep the GSA shake down thugs happy, the unemployed seeking jobs run out of benefits and come off the job seeker rolls (they disappear as jobless) at about the same rate people working are losing their jobs due to cuts and closures and going on the jobless roll… so unemployment doesn’t really change from one month to the next and the jobs being created is nothing more than something shiny for the media to look at.

What about those 23-25 million people still looking for work but are no longer on the roles? Forget them they don’t count… according to the government.

So ask your liberal friends this…

… if Obama created jobs why hasn’t unemployment gone down?
… if the workforce has shrunk by 25 million no longer counted then shouldn’t that explains why welfare and food stamps recipients have doubled under Obama?
