Obama is no Reagan

Here is an article that says Obama is no Reagan… well no kidding. Obama is not worthy to set at the same desk Reagan sat at better yet be compared to him – Reagan loved this country, Obama not so much.

Obama the Velcro president

Reporting from Washington — If Ronald Reagan was the classic Teflon president, Barack Obama is made of Velcro.

Somehow, I think saying Obama is made of Velcro will be called racist by those on the left (don’t ask me to explain it).

Through two terms, Reagan eluded much of the responsibility for recession and foreign policy scandal. In less than two years, Obama has become ensnared in blame.

That’s because Reagan was making things better, not worse.

Hoping to better insulate Obama, White House aides have sought to give other Cabinet officials a higher profile and additional public exposure. They are also crafting new ways to explain the president’s policies to a skeptical public.

You will never shut this narcissist up – they have to be the center of attention good or bad.

But Obama remains the colossus of his administration — to a point where trouble anywhere in the world is often his to solve.

Narcissistic personality disorder look it up – the man-child has it in spades.

The president is on the hook to repair the Gulf Coast oil spill disaster, stabilize Afghanistan, help fix Greece’s ailing economy and do right by Shirley Sherrod, the Agriculture Department official fired as a result of a misleading fragment of videotape.

What’s not sticking to Obama is a legislative track record that his recent predecessors might envy. Political dividends from passage of a healthcare overhaul or a financial regulatory bill have been fleeting.

Political dividends from passage of a healthcare overhaul or a financial regulatory bill? You are kidding me in your observation that envy has been fleeting  – nobody wanted it! The public is against it and we are sick of this little boy telling us what’s good for us.

Instead, voters are measuring his presidency by a more immediate yardstick: Is he creating enough jobs? So far the verdict is no, and that has taken a toll on Obama’s approval ratings. Only 46% approve of Obama’s job performance, compared with 47% who disapprove, according to Gallup’s daily tracking poll.

Gallup huh? Let’s have a look at the collective reality – the RCP average is 45% approve and 49.7 disapprove as of 7/31

Obama lately has tried to rip off the Velcro veneer. In a revealing moment during the oil spill crisis, he reminded Americans that his powers aren’t “limitless.” He told residents in Grand Isle, La., that he is a flesh-and-blood president, not a comic-book superhero able to dive to the bottom of the sea and plug the hole.

“I can’t suck it up with a straw,” he said.

I seems to remember Obama’s megalomaniacal line –  “I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth.”  — anybody else remember that bullshit? Now he said that before the election and yet the drones still voted for his dumbass.

Clinching the Democratic nomination two years ago, Obama described the moment as an epic breakthrough when “we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless” and “when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”

Those towering goals remain a long way off. And most people would have preferred to see Obama focus more narrowly on the “good jobs” part of the promise.

What I said …

Unemployment has been rising — from 7.7% when Obama took office, to 9.5%. Last month, more than 2 million homes in the U.S. were in various stages of foreclosure — up from 1.7 million when Obama was sworn in.

“Folks just aren’t in a mood to hand out gold stars when unemployment is hovering around 10%,” said Paul Begala, a Democratic pundit.

You think so Captain Obvious?

But the Obama administration is about one man. Obama is the White House’s chief spokesman, policy pitchman, fundraiser and negotiator. No Cabinet secretary has emerged as an adequate surrogate. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner is seen as a tepid public speaker; Energy Secretary Steven Chu is prone to long, wonky digressions and has rarely gone before the cameras during an oil spill crisis that he is working to end.

So, more falls to Obama, reinforcing the Velcro effect: Everything sticks to him. He has opined on virtually everything in the hundreds of public statements he has made: nuclear arms treaties, basketball star LeBron James’ career plans; Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

That’s because narcissist are control freaks and are of the opinion that no one can do anything but them – they believe they are the smartest idiot in the room and if they do not do it it can not be done – Reagan on the other hand was older, wiser and more mature and knew how to delegate – something the little man-child can’t do.

“Stylistically he creates some of those problems,” Eddie Mahe, a Republican political strategist, said in an interview. “His favorite pronoun is ‘I.’

Don’t forget – ‘me’ and ‘my’ – like I said NPD – Narcissistic personality disorder.

A new White House strategy is to forgo talk of big policy changes that are easy to ridicule. Instead, aides want to market policies as more digestible pieces. So, rather than tout the healthcare package as a whole, advisors will talk about smaller parts that may be more appealing and understandable — such as barring insurers from denying coverage based on preexisting conditions.

But at this stage, it may be late in the game to downsize either the president or his agenda.

Or what is known as piece-mill policies – keep your ears open for them.

Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) said: “The man came in promising change. He has a higher profile than some presidents because of his youth, his race and the way he came to the White House with the message he brought in. It’s naive to believe he can step back and have some Cabinet secretary be the face of the oil spill. The buck stops with his office.”

No Dick, the buck passing, finger pointing, not me mentality starts with his office.

Obama: Classless, Clueless and Confused

Let me admit I can spin a tapestry of profanities that will hang in space for eons to come. I’m not necessarily proud of that fact, but growing up on farm, serving in the Marine Corps and year in the industrial world and construction world – it’s a side effect of the environment. I curb it when around women, children and strangers it’s the proper thing to do. Oh sure on occasion I let a few slip here in these post but it’s my blog and I can say whatever the hell I want dammit! Don’t like it, piss off.

However for the President of the United States to go on morning TV, The Today Show when a lot of young kids are  likely around or to go on any TV at anytime for that matter and start tossing profanities around is demeaning to the office and the country and it sets a very bad example. We as parents have enough to contend with without the government making it cool to cuss. So let’s roll back the hands of time and see who here remembers when Ronald Reagan was caught on a live mic calling the press “sons of bitches” anyone remember the stink over that? I remember it some 25 years later. It was played on the news, experts on culture talked about it and the White house ran damage control over calling the press “sons of bitches”… granted their story was weak and I think Reagan actually called them SOB’s and I’d say the press was deserving of it then as they are now.

Reagan cusses on live mike [sic] (Image grab from paper on the right)

But Reagan and the White House knew that you didn’t opening go out and talk “street” so to say as the President of the United States! And while I’m at it and speaking of “street” some on the left are calling Matt Drudge of the DrudgeReport a racist because he said Obama went “street”. Well exactly what was it when the left-wing media called George Bush’s speech as “cowboy” or Sarah Palin as “hick”? One thing you can bet on is that both Bush and Palin would have far more class than to go on morning TV and talk about kicking someones ass – they are both far above that level of juvenile behavior. Anyway, prior administration help the office of the President in much higher respect than to erode its prestige with profanity in interviews – it’s one thing to get caught in a offhand moment or on a live mic like Biden many times, but to knowingly use it in a morning interview is just pathetic and shows how little class this clown has.

The point is Obama and his administration are nothing more than frat boys that are way out of their league – we’re 53 days into this oil leak in the Gulf and Obama hasn’t even spoken to the CEO of BP yet. Obama thinks talking about kicking someones ass is going to win him points with the public – well this public finds his behavior unbecoming of the office and it is disgraceful and with every gallon that washes ashore is further proof of just how ill equipped this guy is to be a leader.

The guy is just clueless has to what to do, he has no direction, no clue and I believe this White house is confused – half of them took huge money from BP including Obama and they are conflicted to act tough with the cash cow of a donor. And now even as some liberals are finally admitting – Katrina had a better response and are stating publicly Obama doesn’t know what he is doing. Take for example Charlie Rangel and his thoughts on the matter …

Rangel on WH faith in BP: They don’t have the slightest clue

Mr. Rangel also believes the administration is in the dark regarding the administration’s faith in BP fixing the break and cleaning up the spill:audio

“I don’t think the administration has the slightest clue. We’re bringing in experts now, in and outside of government, to see whether or not BP will do more. We should have had the answers to that long before we even drilled. Now we’re trying to find the answer after the problem. The potential danger was always there.”

Just figuring that out Charlie? Some of have know for quite a while they are clueless.

They still don’t get it

It’s not often I disagree with the Wall Street Journal, albeit I do not read every article, every day, but yesterday I read a story…

In Senate, 59 Votes Can Still Deliver

Democrats won’t have 60 votes in the Senate any more, but they will have 59, which is a wider majority than presidents from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush needed to win significant legislative victories.

Reading this I thought back to the Van Jones video saying Republicans can pass legislation because they’re assholes

YouTube Preview Image

Well no and no Obama in his current political mindset as a statist will not push through legislation without 60 vote and no the republicans are not assholes. (Well most aren’t) What the republicans did, namely Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush that Obama cannot do is work in a bipartisan manner. Obama the most liberal of politicians in Washington and he cannot shake his progressive agenda long enough to compromise his convictions. He is unyielding in his belief he and he alone believes he knows best, it is egotism and narcissism on a grand scale.

Take for example that Ronald Reagan worked very closely with Tip O’Neal the democrat Speaker of the House from Massachusetts to pass bills he could live with, Bush 41 and 43 and to work with the democrat congress to pass legislation they could live with, even Bill Clinton had to work with Newt Gingrich to get things done. But Obama had was the rarest of rare, the magical unicorn of politics a White House, House of Representatives and Senate all of the same party with enough votes, a supermajority in each to pass anything they wanted and they tried, over the protest of the Republicans and over the protest of the people. They reached to far to fast and they paid for it.

This process of policy pissed off vast numbers of the public, the administration’s radical take no prisoners agenda left a bitter taste in the mouths of many as there was no bipartisanship, no effort to achieve bipartisanship and on those rare occasions they would land a single republican vote would claim bipartisanship as if they invented the wheel. The public didn’t buy it and they answered the democrats bully tactics by putting a republican in one of the historically most liberal of seats in Massachusetts.

And now the democrats act as if they hear you and understand… please! Obama may pass legislation with the republicans support, but I can guarantee you it will not be anything close to what he wants and I don’t care what the pundits say.

But what I find most humorous about this is that with the loss of the so called Kennedy seat the member in Washington claim they have had a wake up call… really so all those Tea Parties weren’t a clue, that huge rally on 9/12 wasn’t a clue, the December rally wasn’t a clue but the loss of one Senate seat was? Guess that tells you what they think of you now doesn’t it… don’t forget that fact in November.

Obama disses America’s BFF!

obama_classlessYes, Obama disses America’s BFF (Best Friend Forever), Great Brittan. You might already already know this, Gordon Brown gave Dopey gifts included an ornamental desk pen holder made from the oak timbers of Victorian anti-slaver HMS Gannet, once named HMS President, he also gave Obama a first edition set of the seven-volume classic biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert.

What did Dopey, leader of the free world, the most powerful man in the riches country in the world give Gordon Brown? Was it a bronze statue of the old west cast by Fredrick Remington? Perhaps a Signed First Edition Autobiography of Ronald Reagan? Nope he gave our biggest and longest standing Ally a 25 DVD boxset that you could pick up at any Best Buy and to add insult to injury Michelle Obama give the Brown children models on Marine One that could be picked up at the White House gift shop! These people have no class at all. Oh well maybe it had a copy of ‘Amistad’ and ‘Patriot’?

To top that off Gordon Brown isn’t even a film buff and as another British blogger pointed out, “does the American President not think we have cinema and DVD stores across the Atlantic?” I have to wonder if Obama knows that the UK is not even Region 1 so the DVD’s if gave won’t even play on their players over there.

Psst Obama, the UK is Region 2. American DVD’s are Region 1.

This is a slap in the Brits face and a embarrassment to America … well should we really be surprised? Obama is becoming a embarrassment to America. In addition to the the pathetic gift and the gift shop trinket Obama went on to snub Brown aon a press conference … guess Obama didn’t have time to set up his teleprompter.

One can only wonder what Obama plans on giving the Queen … might I suggest a Obama Bobblehead.

And the Brits are not impressed and rightfully so …

Barack Obama’s classic movie gift to Prime Minister during visit to White House

Two worlds, one fantasy and one reality.

Now watch the first video, perhaps you’ve already seen it … did you get that? Obama has had a full day to be President now, has the world been saved? Is every mortgage paid? Ever tank filled? No? I wonder if she still has a home? I wonder if she can still drive around? I wonder if she is still enamored with Obama? I wonder if reality has set in for her?

YouTube Preview Image

Now watch the second video which is a audio story mainly from a real President Ronald Wilson Reagan … ok did you watch it? NO! Well watch it and then come back here … ok follow direction this time? Good, did you get that? That is real reality, that’s real capitalism, that’s the real way it is, that’s the real American way. You work hard, you succeed, you slack off, you fail. It’s simple, it’s easy and it works.
