I don’t know how Obama and congress can call the budget a budget when they clearly don’t know who to manage one. Obama has submitted to congress a monster $3,600,000,000,000.00 wallet busting budget, the largest in history. The 2009 Obama Budget spends $11,833 for every American. Where is the money going to come from? It is projecting a deficits of $1.8 trillion in 2009 and $1.2 trillion in 2010. That’s a deficit, in the hole, IOU, can yo say flat busted broke?
Obama said, “We will, each and every one of us, have to compromise on certain things we care about but which we simply cannot afford right now.”
You know that wasteful spending you do on things like food, house payments, bills, etc. you will have to compromise on those. You will be faced with tough choices like if it is going to be Beef or Chicken flavored Raimen Noodles. Obama claims he going to pay for this massive spending by taxing those evil rich people. Well the facts are those making over $250,000 a year do not pay enough taxes (even at Obama’s higher rate) to offset the increased spending. So that mean Obama will have to lower the bar to those making $150,000, $100,000 or even $50,000 to cover this money/power grab.
Also stuck in the budget is a little thing called cap and trade used to limit and reduce carbon emissions. This charges and fines companies for carbon emissions, you know companies like POWER COMPANIES … and if they are fined just who do you think is going to pay that fine … not them! To top that off thay’ll have to buy carbon credits, at the tune of $526 billion from carbon pollution permits and bet your bottom dollar they’ll pass that cost on to you via your energy bill. It’s for lack of a better word a energy tax that you will pay and if Obama can tax your energy then maybe you will use less is his plan. Behavior control through taxation. Obama said this much in the campaign. This hidden tax is not limited to power companies, all carbon producing companies will have to have this permit and pay the government for them and yet the government will decide what is a exceptable level to produce. Talk about putting a fox in charge of the hen house.
The liberal think tank Center on Budget Priorities and Policy estimated this week that reducing greenhouse gas emissions would cost the poorest families in America $750 per year as higher energy prices ripple through the economy affecting all goods and services.
More on cap and trade here.
He is also increasing capital gains tax from 15% to 20%, I know you’re saying big deal, those taxes are for the rich … wrong! If you sell anything and you make a profit on it, technically that is capital gains.
There is this and so much more and add it all together and you’re going to bring this economy to it’s knees.
