Obama’s Speech

Did you watch Dopey’s speech the other night? No, me neither.

I saw highlights of his speech if you can call it highlights – he looks bored and tired – like he’d rather be shooting hoops- guess he needs a vacation from all of his vacations. Naturally Obama failed to thank Bush or give him any credit for the surge in Iraq – what a classless piece of crap he is. 10,000 bloggers has posted about this so I won’t add to the list. I will say there are people in this world I really don’t like – I mean REALLY don’t like but I go out of my way to say something nice when asked or force to mention them. So I’d think that the President of the United States could muster a little class and admit that Bush’s plan worked like it or not, but then he would have to admit that based on his comments from the Senate he was wrong again – but I have yet to see anything he has been correct about thus far.

But as you know class and Obama mix and mingle like oil and water and since I’d rather take a nap than listen to Obama babble about things he doesn’t understand -  that’s what I did during his speech. I took a nap.

The cost of war

I was on the phone to Ed Whitfield (R-KY) district director Micheal Pape the other day and we got on the cost of war… he pull out a DOD report on that very subject. So I jotted down some information as to the cost of war throughout American History (you know stuff the Democrats are trying to rewrite)

So any this is the cost of every war since the Revolutionary War with the cost adjusted to 2009 dollars.

Revolutionary War

Deaths – 4,435
Cost – $2 Billion

Civil War
Length – 3.9 years
Deaths – 214,938 (Reported Northern Only)
Cost – $63 Billion

WWI
Length – 1.6 years
Deaths – 53,402
Cost – $262 Billion

WWII

Cost – $4,258 Billion (that’s $4.258 Trillion)

So the next time that big ears clown in the White House talks about spending nearly a trillion dollars on the Iraq/Afghan war… remind him that the progressive liberal FDR spend nearly a trillion a year waging war.

Obama lied, people died

I’m sure I don’t have to remind you of the loony left chant of “Bush lied, people died” well sadly Obama has been in office 174 as of this writing July 13, 2009 and as of this date 180 America military troops as died on Obama watch.

How’s that hope and change working out for you? Where is the liberal outrage that Obama hasn’t ended the wars, where is the outrage that Obama hasn’t stop the deaths, where is the outrage? I guess that’s Bush’s fault too.

But this is news you will not hear from the Mainstream Media… it doesn’t fit into their agenda.

Obama on the wrong side of history… again.

OBAMA, JUNE 30, 2008: Those who have tried to pull Iraq into the abyss of disunion and civil war are on the wrong side of history. Finally, the very fact that Iraqis are celebrating this day is a testament to the courage, the capability, and commitment of every single American who has served in Iraq. That’s worth applauding. (applause) Through tour after tour of duty our troops have overcome every obstacle to extend this precious opportunity to the Iraqi people. We’ve made important progress in supporting a sovereign, stable, and self-reliant Iraq; and everyone who served there, both in uniform as well as our civilians, uh, deserves our thanks.

OBAMA FEBRUARY 10, 2007: It’s time to admit that no amount of American lives with resolve the political disagreement that lies at the heart of someone else’s civil war. That’s why I have a plan that will bring our combat troops home bit March of 2008. Let the Iraqis know, letting the Iraqis know that we will not be there forever is our last best hope so pressure the Sunni and Shi’a to come to the table and find peace.

So which is it? Remember Obama slammed Bush and the military for their service and job in Iraq, he also failed to visit them until political pressure forced him to do so during the campaign, he also claimed the surge would fail and we would loose in Iraq… However, now he is trying to take credit for there success, there hard work seems to me Obama was on the wrong side of history and now is acting as if he never was. Don’t wrong Barack I and many, many others will be here to refresh your memory of the words you speak. He has no respect for the military and equally much of the military has little respect for him.

I don’t know a single member of the military that is happy under Obama (there might be some, I know of none), I don’t know a single member that regards him as the “Commander in Chief” and I know several getting out, my own brother-in-law a Marine Corps (oo-rah) is a Sargent Major is calling it a career, I have another brother-in-law is staying in only because he hasn’t enough time to retire yet, but he wishes he did as I have a few first cousins either getting out or bidding their time to do length of service.

You have the right to remain silent…

I didn’t miss it, but I had such a hard time getting my brain around it I haven’t said anything because it’s so absurd, yes I’m talking about Miranda warning on the battle field.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?

Just so you know the Fifth Amendment right to counsel which is a component of the Miranda Rule is to be distinguished from the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. In the context of the law of confessions the Sixth Amendment right to counsel is defined by the Massiah Doctrine [Massiah v. United States, 377 U.S. 201 (1964)] and as you know both the Fifth and Sixth Amendmant are Constitutional Right which can not and should not be extended to foreign nationals.

Now here is the loophole Miranda warnings do not need to be administered when there is an imminent threat to public safety and someone shooting at you is a imminent threat, and if you should happen to shoot them and kill them well you not only have to read them their “rights” at all nor do you have to send them to Gitmo.

GE Propaganda

Have you heard the GE commercial on he radio where GE brags that they employ over 11,000 veterans and the GI Jobs Magazine as named them a top veteran friendly company? Have you heard it? They tend to play on Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity’s show, which has little choice in who advertises on the network, so anyway GE is promoting themselves as super veteran friendly.  Well GE ranked 16th out of 50, but G.I. Jobs is not a military magazine in terms of a pure military magazine affiliated with a branch of the armed services. Leatherneck is a military magazine of the Marines, Stars and Strips is a military magazine of the Army, G.I Job’s which I’m sure is a fine magazine is a private for profit magazine just so you know.

Here is what GE’s website says…

From 2003 to 2008 G.I. Jobs Magazine has chosen GE as one of the most Military Friendly Employers, a recognition of all we do to employ and support active and veteran military personnel, and their families.

GE seems to think that being ranked 16th which is far from the top and far from the 3rd place slot that they held when first ranked is going to wash them of there liberal progressive sins of selling goods to Iran during the Iraq War, they can forgot it. Jeffery Immelt is a scum bag that has ran GE into the ground, traded during a time of war with a n enemy of the nation. So while I own some GE Profile appliances I bought them before Immelt was outed as person putting American troops in harms way during a time of war. I can assure you that I will not buy from any company ran or controlled by GE.

So don’t buy their propaganda folks, we are living in a age of propaganda and I’ve never seen it this bad in my life in these country.
