Pelosi: $top investigation of our most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history

Pelosi asks for donations to fend off potential GOP investigations

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is asking supporters for contributions to help prevent the “subpoenas and investigations” that would result from a GOP majority.

In a fundraising letter for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Pelosi says if Republicans take back the House, they’ll initiate “endless investigations against President Obama” and “bring back the days of Ken Starr and the politics of personal destruction.”

“Remember a Republican-controlled Congress that devoted more time to subpoenas and investigations than to solving our country’s problems?” Pelosi asks. “There is far too much at stake for our country now to allow it to happen again.”

Democrats Take Majority in House; Pelosi Poised to Become Speaker

“The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, D.C., and the Democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history,” Pelosi said.

So my question to Speaker Pelosi is a simple one – ‘What are you worried about, Nancy?’ If in fact you have the “most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history” then you should welcome investigation to back up your promise to ‘restore integrity and honesty in Washington, D.C.’ and discredit the GOP as witch-hunters, right?

Or perhaps Pelosi has something to worry about… I think the latter.

James Clyburn (D-S.C.) looking for the boogieman

Guess you heard some unknown, un-vetted, porn charges Democrat in South carolina won the Democrat primary… heard that right?

Who is Alvin Greene?

The first startling disclosure was made by The Associated Press, which reported that Mr. Greene had been charged with a felony in a case involving showing pornographic images to a college student.

I don’t know South Carolina law and I could care less about who this guy is, but that’s just odd that showing pornographic images to seemingly (being in college) an ‘of age’ person is a felony – keep in mind being a illegal alien is a misdemeanor, anyway I digress on SC law. OK so the guy is a pervert which I thought was a prerequisite for the congress and it also seems Greene never had a organized campaign, a job, he never held a campaign event, didn’t attend any larger Democratic primary gatherings and didn’t even have a campaign Web site nor did he ever filed any financial reporting forms or anything of the things one would associate with someone running for office. So what gives… well James “Sherlock” Clyburn thinks he knows…

Clyburn says S.C. Dem Senate candidate a ‘plant’; calls for probe

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) called for South Carolina to investigate the circumstances that led to Alvin Greene winning the Democratic Senate primary in his state earlier this week.

“There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary,” Clyburn said during an appearance on the liberal Bill Press radio show. “I don’t know if he was a Republican plant; he was someone’s plant.”

A Republican plant? Now I’ll be the first to admit there are many, many times the the GOP could find their ass with both hands and road map, but if the GOP are going to put a “plant” in place I’m pretty sure they could do better than this guy. I mean come on Micheal Steele is fairly incompetent but even he can do better than this. They wouldn’t put up this clown.

“I think there’s some federal laws being violated in this race, but I think some shenanigans are going on in South Carolina,” Clyburn explained. “Somebody gave him that $10,000 and he who took it should be investigated, and he who gave it should be investigated.”

Oh come on Clyburn and face the reality that the Democrats are scrapping the bottom of the barrel to find candidates and this is what you get – he’ll fit right in with Pelosi, Reid and Obama if he wins which is about the same likelihood as Obama coming up with a solution to the Gulf oil leak. A GOP plant – Clyburn you are reaching for the top shelf on this claim.

South Carolina Democratic Party leaders may not support Senate nominee Alvin Greene

GOP’s “You Cut” doesn’t cut it

Eric Cantor introduces the GOP’s “You Cut” but the cuts YOU have the option of CUTTING fall far short of any real cuts – as a matter a fact I think the few cuts they offer are a joke at best and don’t amount to a gnat on a camels ass.

YouCut – a first-of-its-kind project

YouCut – a first-of-its-kind project – is designed to defeat the permissive culture of runaway spending in Congress. It allows you to vote, both online and on your cell phone, on spending cuts that you want to see the House enact. Vote on this page today for your priorities and together we can begin to change Washington’s culture of spending into a culture of savings.

All the options available to cut don’t add up to squat on a government scale – the total available to cut comes to $5.961 billion which doesn’t even come close to the debt the Federal government ran up in the month of April alone.

U.S. posts 19th straight monthly budget deficit (16 of those are Obama’s)

The United States posted an $82.69 billion deficit in April, nearly four times the $20.91 billion shortfall registered in April 2009 and the largest on record for that month, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday.

So I ask what good is it to build a website and run around promoting it to cut a measly $6 billion is a joke – get back to me when you have options to cut trillion or 100′s of billions at the bare minimum. Here let me toss out a few ideas for cuts…

How about we cut congressional pay and perks by 100% until you clowns straighten out and balance the budget?
How about we cut the billions in foreign aid?
How about we reduce the size of government by 50% or more.
How about we repeal the stimulus and put the money back in the bank?
How about we end IMF and UN funding?
How about all remaining campaign monies after the election or when they leave office go to reduce the debt?
How about the GOP come up with some real cut and get back to us?

Neat idea – comical offerings.

Michael Steele plays the race card

The one things most conservatives have little use for is the the “race card” it a weak defense of a desperate accuser. The race care which is the favorite weapon of the left is now being played by RNC chairman Michael Steele. That’s really pathetic…

Michael Steele calls his critics racist

RNC chair Michael Steele defended his spending practices Monday morning, saying he has no plan to resign, and at one point suggesting that criticism of his tenure may be rooted in racism.

No Michael it’s rooted in ability not racism. Under Michael Steele’s leadership the RNC back Dede Scozzafava, John McCain and others that are questionable choices, here in my own state they’ve backed former democrat and lifer politician Trey Grayson – in fact the RNC has been on the wrong side of the rank and file conservatives Republicans choices many times. Under Steele the GOP’s coffers have shrunk dramatically. However Steele rejects this notion and plays the old and tired Obama “inherited” card on top of race card.

Steele rejected the notion that the RNC has spent more money than taken in. “No, I had more money left over at the end of the— I had a budget, I inherited a budget that had zero dollars left at the end of 2009.”

FEC filings show that Steele began his tenure in January 2009 with $22.8 million, and has since raised $96.2 million. During the same period, however, the RNC has spent $109.6 million, for a deficit of $13.4 million. A March 20 FEC filing shows the RNC has $9.5 million cash on hand.

It’s a rare, rare day I agree with Robert Gibbs but the White House spokesman said in Steele’s race claim the other day. “That is a fairly silly comment to make. I think Michael Steele’s problem isn’t the race card, it’s the credit card.” Well said Gibbs – it’s the first thing you’ve said I’ve ever agreed with.

What Steele and so many others fail to realize is that stupidity doesn’t have a skin color. Playing the race card is racist itself, it tells me you see things through the prism of skin color. As Erick Erickson over at Red State said in his post “Go With the Army You Have”

I did not support Michael Steele for Chairman of the Republican Party, but was perfectly happy to give him a chance to prove himself. That all pretty much went out the window the moment he decided to start throwing the race card around against Republicans when feeling threatened.

Yep, as soon as a minority or anyone for the matter plays the race card, I have little use for them and write them off weak and pathetic.

If Steele can’t do any better than that to defend his actions then he needs to go and it’s not because he is black, it’s because he is stupid.

More on Steele here…

Michael Steele you need to go

Been saying for a while that RNC Chairman Michael Steele need to go – he has been ineffective and poor promoter of conservative values, well here is further proof of that little factoid.

High flyer: RNC Chairman Steele suggested buying private jet with GOP funds

According to two knowledgeable sources, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele once raised the possibility of using party money to buy a private jet for his travel.

Yeah that the way to practice conservative values – buy a private jet on members money.

While Steele has not purchased a plane, he continues to charter them. According to federal disclosure records, the RNC spent $17,514 on private aircraft in the month of February alone (as well as $12,691 on limousines during the same period). There are no readily identifiable private plane expenses for Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine in the DNC’s last three months of filings.

Oh charter a plane what a way to save money – why flight commercial for less when you can waste money chartering a plane.

Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent [update: the amount is actually $1,946.25] at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.

Hey Michael – Motel 6 will leave a light on for you! And “Voyeur West Hollywood” – WTF? Listen Mike if you need to get your freak on then do it on your dime this is why I never give a dime to the RNC and I give directly to the candidate of choice.

Steele doesn’t seem to realize this is the very abuse of funds that the American people are sick of at the government level and we are damn sure not going to put up with it at the party level.

RNC trips to other cities produced bills from a long list of chic and costly hotels such as the Venetian and the M Resort in Las Vegas, and the W (for a total of $19,443) in Washington. A midwinter trip to Hawaii cost the RNC $43,828, not including airfare.

Just makes my head explode! Fiscal responsibility my ass.

A March 20 FEC filing shows the RNC has $9.5 million cash on hand. Steele began his tenure with $22.8 million, and has since raised $96.2 million. During the same period, however, the RNC has spent $109.6 million, for a deficit of $13.4 million. That spending included aid to the campaigns that elected Gov. Bob McDonnell in Virginia and Gov. Chris Christie in New Jersey.

Yeah, well how much of that did Steele spend on his high flying lifestyle?

Michael Steele needs to be replaced – and I’m thinking Palin maybe, for a Tea Party take over of the RNC. There are other choices but that’s just an idea.

Tucker Carlson responds to RNC complaints about DC’s Michael Steele article

The complaints from the RNC about this morning’s Daily Caller article, “High Flyer: RNC Chairman Steele suggested buying private jet with RNC funds,” while loud, lack substance. Despite claims to the contrary, no one from the committee has ever explained the specific circumstances of any of the expenses listed in its most recent disclosure filings.

UPDATE: Michael Steele and the RNC are denying Steele was ever at the Voyeur West Hollywood – regardless of that Steele is in charge and if their accounting knew this money was spent there by whoever and they did nothing then they are guilty by association. And in doesn’t offset the 5 Star hotels and private jets so I’m sticking with what I said Steele and now it would seem several others need to go. Clean house I said.

The Daily Caller requested interviews with Michael Steele on Jan. 14, Jan. 15, Jan. 18, Feb. 10, Feb. 23 and again on March 23. All were denied.

The story we ran today is accurate, as the RNC knows.

Like I said and many others have said – Steele needs to answer up or he needs to go. Frankly, I think he needs to answer and go.

RNC Says Member Will Return $2,000 Reimbursed for Visit to Bondage Club

“I don’t know the person specifically. I know there are a lot of (Federal Election Commission) reports that people are going through trying to determine that. I just know from a conversation I had with a colleague that we got a commitment that that money will be returned,” he said.

OK if you don’t know who spent it then till me how they are going to pay it back? How can you make that claim without a culprit? That’s as stupid as Obama and Holder saying that even if the terrorist get a trial they will never go free – then why waste money having a trial if the outcome is known?

For the record I’m a registered Republican and I’ve never given a dime to the RNC because just like the democrats they are good at wasting money – I give directly to the candidate.

GOP Grassroots Forum Recap

Well I spent Saturday (Feb. 13th) at the McCracken County Republican Grassroots Group Forum where the three primary candidates spoke, made opening statements, took a few questions and made closing statement, but it was not begin before a little political excitement… well excitement might be a strong wrong however a older gentlemen running for senate named Gurley Martin age 86 (really no kidding) was a little put out I’m guessing he wasn’t part of the debate so he made a but of a fuss down at stage front but that soon ending. Martin also had a number of pirated Ray Stevens videos printed up on CD he was handing out. If I had to guesstimate the crowd there was about 600 or so there give or take, not bad considering Kentucky was playing ball.

Before I got into it I have state that I am supporting Rand Paul and so far I have no reason to switch that support, Bill Johnson would be a close second. So no secret agenda here I’ve publicly identified my support, so don’t be calling me a shill I’m not a liberal.

I’m not going to go through this thing blow by blow but I’m going to point out a few things that caught my ear. In the opening statement Paul came out swinging repeatedly calling Grayson a liar, I’m not sure this was the best tactic as Paul went first allowing Grayson to take the high road and ignore the charges and not respond. While it is a fact that Grayson has waged several lies against Paul (like this one) I heard several people make note of the out of the gate attacks against Grayson as harsh and not the best tactic. However, having researched Grayson charges against what is on record from Paul I can understand Paul’s frustration with Grayson. That’s not to excuse it, but to state I understand it and as the Angry White Guy I’d jump Grayson about it too. Paul has been attacked by the Louisville Courier Journal by John David Dyche, Rand responded and the Louisville Courier Journal refused to print his response, how’s that for unbiased coverage. I’ll have a post on this shill John David Dyche coming up in the next day or so and you’ll see his agenda.

Back to the forum, for the most part Bill Johnson had a lot of really good things to say and steered clear of most the banter between Paul and Grayson venturing in a little at time, but as I’ve said before I think he has a great future in politics am just not sure if now is the time for a Senatorial bid as that’s a big bite to take having no prior legislative experience not that matters, it’s just a steep financial hill to climb. Really he should have challenged a House Seat as we have a number of State Representatives from both parties that need replacing. Not to mention the cost for a district race would have been far cheaper to run than a statewide race and the district in which Johnson resides could use a change in representation. He comes across as passionate conservative no doubt about it, has a concern about the Constitution and this administration venturing away from it and had by far the best answer of the day on this question here…

Should government be involved at all in the owning and operation of either large or small privately owned businesses?

Bill Johnson answer last after Grayson and Paul expanded on this to their respective 90 seconds. Johnson said, Read more…

Rep. Michele Bachmann vows not to complete Census

michele-bachmann-1-sizedMinn. lawmaker vows not to complete Census

In an interview Wednesday morning with The Washington Times “America’s Morning News,” Mrs. Bachmann, Minnesota Republican, said the questions have become “very intricate, very personal” and she also fears ACORN, the community organizing group that came under fire for its voter registration efforts last year, will be part of the Census Bureau’s door-to-door information collection efforts.

She sent a portion of the U.S. legal code that says anyone over 18 years of age who refuses to answer “any of the questions” on the census can be fined up to $5,000.

You know in 2000 I worked the census as a field leader and I went many places in the south to straighten things out and get them up to speed and while I trust the census in 2000 I’m not so sure I’d trust the 2010 census with ACORN, Obama and the democrats involved and I agree with Michele Bachmann on not telling the census anything more than the number of people in my house. They don’t need to know my race, my DOB and BTW the census worker cannot ASSUME your race or age, if you are so white you disappear in the snow bank and have sky blue eyes you can tell the census worker your African-Chinese and that’s what they have to put down. So I can say “decline to answer” and they have to leave it blank.

But you’re think … you can’t do that you’ll go to jail.
Yeah, right.

First the 5th Amendment entitles you to “liberty” and there is the 4th Amendment which says…

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures…” Now if I think that a census worker is a member of ACORN which is known for hiring convicted felons caught in ID theft rings than I’d say that would cause me not to be secure in my persons, houses, papers, and effects and the census could be considered a “unreasonable search” and therefore I can use the 4th Amendment to refuse to comply and the 5th Amendment to preserve my liberty.

FYI – If you look at old census from the 1800′s the only information they had was the “Head of Household” and the number of people in the home with their general age range and that was it and as a genealogist I can tell you they are valuable information to have, but with the Chicago thugocracy in Washington future family historians might have a hard time getting information from 2010.

Now some good news is that the census is using the short form only for 2010 if you opt to answer all the questions, the long form was the one that caused so much heart ache and head aches in 2000 as I thought even as a census worker it was a tad to intrusive, but if they are going to have ACORN working on it I can see why they need the short form for those from ACORN that rode the short bus.

Anyway I haven’t decided what I’m doing yet, nor have I decided if I’m going to work the census or not. Well see.

The tiny tent of the shrinking Democrat Party

I know a lot of people that are registered Democrats, but there not Democrats in belief. They have zero to very few truly Democrat/Liberal conviction as set forth by the modern Democrat/Liberal party, but for what ever reason they remain in the party because that’s what they’ve always been. Some remain to vote in the primaries in heavily Democrat areas which wouldn’t be heavily Democrat if they’d follow their convictions and yet others just don’t think about changing.
Well if you’re a closet conservative or centrist and you’ll still a registered as a Democrat you need to change your party, see political parties get a massive amount of federal campaign monies based on registrants and you need to ask yourself do you really want to be in a party with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer and others? Do you really want to fund their reelection bids? The Democrats want you to believe that only the GOP is the only shrinking party, they harp on tent sizes and elitism and blah, blah, blah, well don’t listen to them as here is the reality.

In Nov 2008, full 40% of American identified themselves as Democrat in exit polling. However, in a recent Washington Post/ABC Poll which admittedly had a “over sample of blacks” and would skew the result in favor of the Democrats and Obama support stated that only 35% of respondents identified themselves as Democrat as of April 2009 which would realize a 5% decline in the Democrat party membership… something you will not learn from watching the mainstream media like MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS an ABC. For the record the Republican Party has seen sharper declines than the Democrats and the only group to claim to increase in numbers are those stating ‘Independent’, but again the mainstream media will only tell you about the Republican decline in hopes that you will assume that those that left the Republican party crossed over as Arlen Specter did to join the Democrats which is clearly not the case. Something I like to call omission media as both mainstream parties have lost membership all around.

The mainstream media and the Democrat pundits like to claim only the GOP is in decline and that the problem with the GOP is that they do not have a “big tent”. I can’t help but laugh that the Democrats want to offer advice to the Republican party… let me ask the Democrats this if I believe in the Second Amendment, the Constitution, pro-life, the Bible, low taxes and that handouts are inherently bad for the country… will I be welcome in your tent? Probably not, so get off off the big tent argument as your tent not that big and that’s why more and more people are claiming independence from either party. The Democrats will spin that they are far better than they actual are and the Republican will buy into the Democrats spin that they have a small tent. Frankly I’m sick of them both.
