Joe ‘Bite Me’ Biden verses the Reality

First I want to say that I truly hope Joe Biden gets help for his drug problem – clearly after many of his remarks, he’s on them. Get help Joe – you need it.

Anyway I guess you heard what Bite Me said now…

Biden: ‘We’ve seen this movie before’

“For eight years before we arrived in the West Wing, Mr. Boehner and his party ran the economy literally into the ground,” he said. “We’ve seen this movie before, Mr. Boehner. We’ve seen it before and we know how it ends.”

Really?

Biden conceded that the economic recovery was not proceeding as fast as the administration had hoped, but claimed there was “no doubt we’re moving in the right direction.”

Problem is they’ve never said which direction they hope to go – if it’s down then that’s a true statement, otherwise it’s a lie.

Yeah that prior eight year really sucked deficit wise compared to Obama – what about unemployment? (NOTE: Bush spent way more than I liked but he was a rank amateur compared to Obama’s spending.)

Gee seems the unemployment under Bush was on average about 5.3% and under Obama it has been on average above 9.5% with a real unemployment rate is way over double that at 22% yeah the good old days they were horrible – if you were HOPING to be unemployed – but don’t worry Obama CHANGED that. Now unemployment is easy.

Well I’m sure Obama’s tax plan will make everything OK – right?

Obama’s Tax Plan: Bad for Economic Growth

Small businesses that employ the most workers would be particularly hard-hit if the top income tax rates go up.

Ok – well I was wrong about that – what else? Well BiteMe let’s have a look at some of the great leap forwards under Dopey and Thief…

Foreclosure rates surge, biggest jump in 5 years

More homes were taken over by banks and scheduled for a foreclosure sale than in any quarter going back to at least January 2005, when RealtyTrac began reporting the data, the firm said.

U.S. Bankruptcy Rate Skyrockets

The financial crisis just won’t go away. It has manifested itself in the poor performance of the housing market, the failure of hundreds of banks and an unemployment surge. One more problem that has emerged as a result of the recession is the soaring rate of bankruptcy filings across the nation. Bankruptcy filings rose by 20% in the past year, according to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. A stunning total surpassing 1.5 million bankruptcy cases were processed between June 2009 and June 2010, up from about 1.3 million in the prior 12-month period.

CD Rates are Falling: Bad News for Savers

The news of low overall interest rates could be good for borrowers and not so good for savers. Borrowers can look forward to paying lower fees when returning money on a loan which will them help pay off debt more quickly.

Savers are not so lucky. If you are living on a budget and stashing away money for later in CDs, you will not see high returns on those accounts. Many economists don’t see the problem improving in upcoming years. It can be frustrating if you are attempting to be responsible with your finances but not seeing much in return.

Food stamp use hit record 40.8m in May (2010)

The number of Americans who are receiving food stamps rose to a record 40.8 million in May as the jobless rate hovered near a 27-year high, the government reported yesterday.

Number of Houston homeless children increasing at rapid rate

According to statistics released in 2009 by the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County, 2,891 homeless children lived in the Houston area. That number has nearly doubled in 2010, as 5,404 children have been reported homeless so far this year.

The number of Americans who are receiving food stamps rose to a record 40.8 million in May as the jobless rate hovered near a 27-year high, the government reported yesterday.

Tell me Joe do I really need to go on? We are on to your bullshit delusional lies and propaganda that things are better now than they were under Bush – Obama and Biden cannot point to a single success that their policies have yielded – not one! Oh the liberals will say the auto bailout was a success… really is it? GM is desperate to shake the “Government Motors” image and get out from under their thumb. How about the “Cash for Clunkers” program it was a fail. Oh they will say that Obama’s long delayed surge in Afghanistan was a success – a surge that fell 10′s of 1000′s of troops short resulting in a troop death increased to record levels under Obama. So tell me Joe what have you and the other idiot in office done that has worked? Where are the jobs? Where is the growth? Where is the booming economy? How about a easy one for the great communicator – foreign policy – how’s that working out? Not to good huh? So where are your successes Joe, where?

Don’t buy anything that comes out of this administration – the only truth I’ve heard is the claim of the “Fundamental Transformation of America” they just didn’t finish the sentence which said… ‘into a third world, third rate country.’

Yeah Joe, we’ve seen this movie you speak of before and you have too and it was shown in November 1994 and it will see it again this November when you tax and spend progressive morons are sent packing back under the rock from which you came. Remember Joe – what Nancy Reagan said “Just say no to drugs.” It’s good advice, take it.

Reality just ate Biden’s lunch.

30,000 line up for housing vouchers, some get rowdy

Thirty thousand people showed up to receive Section 8 housing applications in East Point Wednesday, suffering through hours in the hot sun, angry flare-ups in the crowd and lots of frustration and confusion for a chance to receive a government-subsidized apartment.

The massive event sometimes descended into a chaotic mob scene filled with anger and impatience. Some 62 people needed medical attention and 20 of them were transported to a hospital, authorities said. A baby went into a seizure in the heat and was stabilized at a hospital. People were removed on stretchers and when a throng of people who had been waiting hours in a line were told to move to another line, people started pushing, shoving and cursing, witnesses said.

I guess the loony left will call me a racist if I point out that the crowd appears to be 100% Black, so I won’t.

Kim Lemish, executive director of the East Point Housing Authority, said the event marked the first time the city has offered Section 8 housing applications since 2002. The waiting list that lasted eight years had depleted, she said, and the agency was beginning a new one. So people braved all the physical difficulties just to get on a waiting list that could keep them waiting for years.

Lemish said the agency had expected about 10,000 people but three times as many showed up. Many were just accompanying those looking for an application. Some 13,000 applications were handed out.

(Said in my best Oliver Twist voice) Please sir, may I have some more handouts?

You know I could go on a long rant about enabling people to be dependent slugs but I’d be preaching to the choir and unlike the slacker that have all day to stand around looking for handouts I have a job and there are people that depend on my job for there job and people that depend on them to eat so I don’t have time to worry about the poor and downtrodden that do nothing to better their own life’s on their own without a handout from those that work and pay taxes.

Facts vs. Propaganda

First the FACTS -

Fed set to downgrade outlook for US

The Federal Reserve is set to downgrade its assessment of US economic prospects when it meets on Tuesday to discuss ways to reboot the flagging recovery.

Faced with weak economic data and rising fears of a double-dip recession, the Federal Open Market Committee is likely to ensure its policy is not constraining growth and to use its statement to signal greater concern about the economy. It is, however, unlikely to agree big new steps to boost growth.

From the White House the PROPAGANDA …

A Summer of Recovery

With tens of thousands of projects funded and millions of Americans on the job today, it’s hard to believe that it’s only been 16 months since President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. And with so many jobs saved and created already, you might think that the Recovery Act’s greatest impact is behind us.

But it’s not.

As the summer heats up, it is becoming clear that it could quite possibly be the most active season yet when it comes to recovering our economy. There are Recovery Act-funded projects breaking ground across the country that are creating quality jobs for Americans and economic growth for businesses, large and small.

This summer is sure to be a Summer of Economic Recovery.

From The Hill the assessment …

Obama tries to sell ‘recovery summer’ amid slow economy

President Barack Obama and his team are trying to sell Americans on an economic recovery this summer, but the economy is stubbornly refusing to cooperate.

Obama and his Cabinet officials will fan out across the country over the next few days to spread the message to voters about how effective their $787 billion recovery plan has been, an effort they’re calling “recovery summer.”

The administration’s message has run into several negative economic headwinds that have led to worries the economy is at risk of entering a double-dip recession, not a recovery.

So while Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the lying scumbags in the Democrat Party try to claim we are in recovery – the reality speak otherwise. Meanwhile while you scrap and struggle to get buy the Obama’s live large on your money.

Michelle Obama Criticized as “Modern-day Marie Antoinette” Over Spain Vacation

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller reports the C-32A (757) the First Lady used to fly to Spain – one of the planes that usually serves as Air Force Two, and sometimes Air Force One – operates at a Department of Defense reimbursement rate of $11,351 per hour.

So a 6.5 hour flight to Spain would run $73,781.50 – double for the round trip.

Social Security in the red this year

Social Security will pay out more this year than it gets in payroll taxes, marking the first time since the program will be in the red since it was overhauled in 1983, according to the annual authoritative report released Thursday by the program’s actuary.

Meanwhile President Obama’s health care overhaul has given Medicare’s basic Hospital Insurance an extra 12 years of financial stability, though it did not solve all of the program’s long-term challenges.

Is Obama about to forgive billions in mortgage principal?

James Pethokoukis hears rumors of an August surprise coming from the White House, one that will attempt to win backs the hearts and minds of voters dismayed at the failing economic policies of the Obama administration.  With the government fully in control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Barack Obama may issue an order to forgive portions of underwater mortgages processed through the GSEs, where negative equity approaches $800 billion overall.  Some financial houses have begun quietly preparing for the possibility:

Obama is no Reagan

Here is an article that says Obama is no Reagan… well no kidding. Obama is not worthy to set at the same desk Reagan sat at better yet be compared to him – Reagan loved this country, Obama not so much.

Obama the Velcro president

Reporting from Washington — If Ronald Reagan was the classic Teflon president, Barack Obama is made of Velcro.

Somehow, I think saying Obama is made of Velcro will be called racist by those on the left (don’t ask me to explain it).

Through two terms, Reagan eluded much of the responsibility for recession and foreign policy scandal. In less than two years, Obama has become ensnared in blame.

That’s because Reagan was making things better, not worse.

Hoping to better insulate Obama, White House aides have sought to give other Cabinet officials a higher profile and additional public exposure. They are also crafting new ways to explain the president’s policies to a skeptical public.

You will never shut this narcissist up – they have to be the center of attention good or bad.

But Obama remains the colossus of his administration — to a point where trouble anywhere in the world is often his to solve.

Narcissistic personality disorder look it up – the man-child has it in spades.

The president is on the hook to repair the Gulf Coast oil spill disaster, stabilize Afghanistan, help fix Greece’s ailing economy and do right by Shirley Sherrod, the Agriculture Department official fired as a result of a misleading fragment of videotape.

What’s not sticking to Obama is a legislative track record that his recent predecessors might envy. Political dividends from passage of a healthcare overhaul or a financial regulatory bill have been fleeting.

Political dividends from passage of a healthcare overhaul or a financial regulatory bill? You are kidding me in your observation that envy has been fleeting  – nobody wanted it! The public is against it and we are sick of this little boy telling us what’s good for us.

Instead, voters are measuring his presidency by a more immediate yardstick: Is he creating enough jobs? So far the verdict is no, and that has taken a toll on Obama’s approval ratings. Only 46% approve of Obama’s job performance, compared with 47% who disapprove, according to Gallup’s daily tracking poll.

Gallup huh? Let’s have a look at the collective reality – the RCP average is 45% approve and 49.7 disapprove as of 7/31

Obama lately has tried to rip off the Velcro veneer. In a revealing moment during the oil spill crisis, he reminded Americans that his powers aren’t “limitless.” He told residents in Grand Isle, La., that he is a flesh-and-blood president, not a comic-book superhero able to dive to the bottom of the sea and plug the hole.

“I can’t suck it up with a straw,” he said.

I seems to remember Obama’s megalomaniacal line –  “I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth.”  — anybody else remember that bullshit? Now he said that before the election and yet the drones still voted for his dumbass.

Clinching the Democratic nomination two years ago, Obama described the moment as an epic breakthrough when “we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless” and “when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”

Those towering goals remain a long way off. And most people would have preferred to see Obama focus more narrowly on the “good jobs” part of the promise.

What I said …

Unemployment has been rising — from 7.7% when Obama took office, to 9.5%. Last month, more than 2 million homes in the U.S. were in various stages of foreclosure — up from 1.7 million when Obama was sworn in.

“Folks just aren’t in a mood to hand out gold stars when unemployment is hovering around 10%,” said Paul Begala, a Democratic pundit.

You think so Captain Obvious?

But the Obama administration is about one man. Obama is the White House’s chief spokesman, policy pitchman, fundraiser and negotiator. No Cabinet secretary has emerged as an adequate surrogate. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner is seen as a tepid public speaker; Energy Secretary Steven Chu is prone to long, wonky digressions and has rarely gone before the cameras during an oil spill crisis that he is working to end.

So, more falls to Obama, reinforcing the Velcro effect: Everything sticks to him. He has opined on virtually everything in the hundreds of public statements he has made: nuclear arms treaties, basketball star LeBron James’ career plans; Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

That’s because narcissist are control freaks and are of the opinion that no one can do anything but them – they believe they are the smartest idiot in the room and if they do not do it it can not be done – Reagan on the other hand was older, wiser and more mature and knew how to delegate – something the little man-child can’t do.

“Stylistically he creates some of those problems,” Eddie Mahe, a Republican political strategist, said in an interview. “His favorite pronoun is ‘I.’

Don’t forget – ‘me’ and ‘my’ – like I said NPD – Narcissistic personality disorder.

A new White House strategy is to forgo talk of big policy changes that are easy to ridicule. Instead, aides want to market policies as more digestible pieces. So, rather than tout the healthcare package as a whole, advisors will talk about smaller parts that may be more appealing and understandable — such as barring insurers from denying coverage based on preexisting conditions.

But at this stage, it may be late in the game to downsize either the president or his agenda.

Or what is known as piece-mill policies – keep your ears open for them.

Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) said: “The man came in promising change. He has a higher profile than some presidents because of his youth, his race and the way he came to the White House with the message he brought in. It’s naive to believe he can step back and have some Cabinet secretary be the face of the oil spill. The buck stops with his office.”

No Dick, the buck passing, finger pointing, not me mentality starts with his office.

Is there NO escape…

… from the liberal agenda, whining and propaganda? Answer: NO!

So I’ve been working my aging but yet still firm ass off this week – I have a few more irons in the fire than I can keep up with and by God I needed a day off! So Sunday I got up and watered the flowers , the garden and a few other things due to the lack of rain (Typical July and August in Western KY), knocked down a few high spots in the yard mostly over the septic field and that was about it – I opted to avoid the news for the most part only watching FoxNews Sunday and the rest of the day I was going to watch the Discovery channel or some other mindless TV. The temperature outside was over a 100 (again typical) and I had been in it most of the week it was time for a cool day inside.

So I kick back in my chair and turn on a special on the Galapagos Islands and some new discoveries along with a few news species found, but what I found annoying was the underlying political agenda and the liberal “man is evil” guilt undertone to the show. Any new critter they found that was NOT harmful to the native environment must have traveled there by wing, wind, water or magic and any critter that was harmful to the native population just HAD to be introduced by man i.e. Fire Ants.

Now it’s true man COULD have introduced the Fire Ant and it’s also true that a Ant Queen on the wing could have been carried to the island after all newly hatched queens have wings and the wind can carry a insect 100′s and sometimes 1000′s of miles. In the Southern Hemisphere the wind generally blows east to west and if you have a map you’ll see that the Galapagos is the the west of South America – point being they didn’t even consider natural migration for any animal they deemed harmful, now I’ll give them the rat, the goat and the pig as it is documented the goat and the pig was released by 18th Century sailors for food, the rat likely came from one of the many ships as they had in so many lands before. So aside from the known feral animals I have to ask the simple question why are any introduced or new species the direct result of man involvement?

I’m not saying man has not altered the shape or conditions on the Galapagos Islands but how in the hell did all of the animals that were there long before the first man set food upon the island get there? Did they rise from the muck or were they somehow transported there by wind, debris raft or whatever 1000′s of year before man arrived to evolve into their own species? And who are these self-loathing-man-is-evil-liberal-morons to decide what new animals that arrived on the island is mans fault and who is to say they were not there all a long and they are just now “discovering” them? How many time to you see stories about newly discoveries species somewhere? Answer – all the damn time – so if a animal can go millions of year and not be seen by man then who are these idiot scientist to say that anything has gone extincted that they no longer see? Just because you don’t see it anymore unless it’s something huge like a Mammoth (which they blame man for it’s extinction) then you can’t really say with 100% certainty it’s gone, can you?

Just Google or Bing “thought extinct” and see some of the 5.7 million results of things thought extinct but weren’t and some are pretty good size like a peccary. Oh and by the way if you read about any thought to be, but now are not extinct animals you generally find across the board that the reason they were thought to have gone extinct is because of can you guess it…. drum roll please… evil man. Yep evil man has cause most everything to go extinct and I’m sure that out there some where is a lib trying to figure out how to blame man for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Case in point – and it’s not limited to animals which by the way have the ability to move – the highly educated elite class scientist said that the Franciscan manzanita had been extincted for 60 years – is the Franciscan manzanita on some remote tropical island? … No! Is it in some remote mountain top only accessible a couple a weeks out of the year? … No!  Maybe it’s in the northern tundra of Alaska? … Nope. Why then the Franciscan manzanita must be a wily creature capable of avoiding contact with humans? NOPE! It’s a stinking plant and last I check plant do not migrate nor avoid capture. So where was this thought to be extinct rare exotic? The Franciscan manzanita was hiding in the densely populated San Fransisco Valley around millions and millions of people and yet it was thought extincted … and it was only found when it was discovered to be in the path of a new freeway – then surly the Franciscan manzanita has to be small, it must be a tiny plant easily over looked by the average Joe – nope it’s 20 feet wide and 8 inches tall and yet around all those people it remained unseen. Oh and by the way the bankrupt California spend $175,000.00 to move it out of the path of the new road and they took cutting off it it to start a lot of new plant, frankly I would have told the environmentalist wacko that we’ll save the plant but they need to pay for it moving it, put your money where your month is enviro-loons or STFU. (I’m guessing that building of the road require a botanist to blaze the trail likely at great cost to the taxpayer.)

Anyway back to the original point about human guilt intertwined into nature shows – all I wanted to do was watch something non-political, non-bitching, non-agenda nature show and I ended up getting lectured about how intrusive and evil man is to the environment! Has man left his mark upon the face of the plant? Sure we have; we have cognitive thought, self awareness and opposable thumbs thus we build civilizations. However, man is not alone in the transformation of the earth – you have earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, locust, termites, ants, elephants and damn near every creature to ever walk, crawl, swim, fly or squirm in some way left their mark, sometimes wiping out entire eco-systems – the deforestation by elephants, not man led the the great plains of Africa, destruction of entire islands by volcanoes, and the devastation caused by viruses and bacteria down through the ages is incalculable, then you have fire which can kill millions upon millions of creepy crawlies and other animals, but without that fire many plants would not be able to reproduce as they relay on the heat to open their seedpods.

Nature is a vast and wonderful thing and sometimes I like to watch shows about it, but damn don’t lecture me about the evils of man unless you are willing to balance it with what all man has done to save the environment or some creature often at a ridiculous cost.

And for you liberal jackasses out there reading this going “See, See! Conservatives hate the environment!” You are wrong!” Liberals always have to have a villain in there world they are a victim and anything that happens to the environment is not there fault it’s those other people – in politics it the conservative people, in business it’s the people of corporation, in energy it’s oil used by people, in construction it the people that log trees – the liberals can’t see the forest for the trees and while they stand there in their sandals and tie-dyes sniffing the daisies (or glue) and their own farts the country around them is falling apart due to their endless whining and overblown sense of self importance.

So in the end I watched Abbott and Costello movies on TMC.

Damn liberals – they could screw up a wet dream.

Breitbart 3 – Black Racist 0

Let’s see Andrew Brietbart has brought down ACORN several notches… that’s 1, the liberal has yet to claim the $100,000.00 to prove that the “n-word” was yelled once of the 15 times they claimed… that’s 2 and now a government employee - Shirley Sherrod, the department’s Georgia director of Rural Development who bragged about her racism against a White farmer and it was caught on tape and has been forced to resign… that’s 3.

Video Shows USDA Official Saying She Didn’t Give ‘Full Force’ of Help to White Farmer

Days after the NAACP clashed with Tea Party members over allegations of racism, a video has surfaced showing an Agriculture Department official regaling an NAACP audience with a story about how she withheld help to a white farmer facing bankruptcy — video that now has forced the official to resign.

Shirley Sherrod, the department’s Georgia director of Rural Development, is shown in the clip describing “the first time I was faced with having to help a white farmer save his farm.” Sherrod, who is black, claimed the farmer took a long time trying to show he was “superior” to her. The audience laughed as she described how she determined his fate.

“He had to come to me for help. What he didn’t know while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was superior to me was I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him,” she said. “I was struggling with the fact that so many black people have lost their farmland and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land — so I didn’t give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough.”

Tanning tax not aimed at one race according to liberal Harvard Professor.

I’ve pointed this out a couple of times already – but here it is once again.

‘Tan tax’ discussions include allegations of reverse racism

The case can seem deceptively simple: Since patrons of tanning salons are almost exclusively white, the tax will be almost entirely paid by white people and, therefore, violates their constitutional right to equal protection under the law.

But does the argument have any merit? Not remotely said Randall Kennedy, a professor at Harvard Law School specializing in racial conflict and law.

“There is no constitutional problem at all, because a plaintiff would have to show that the government intended to disadvantage a particular group, not simply that the group is disadvantaged in effect,” he said.

The plaintiff would have to show that the government intended to disadvantage a particular group? Please with this idiot in the White House how hard would that be to do? He already has a proven history of racial behavior (read his book – then wash your hands), listen to him in regards to the Cambridge Police that “acted stupidly” according to Obama, check with Eric Holder and dropping the charges against the New Black Panthers, listen to his rhetoric against Arizona and then you tell me Obama doesn’t have a anti-cracker agenda because he thinks they are to Ritz. Now Holder what’s to look at the conviction of the police officer in Oakland to see if the DOJ can prosecute him for civil rights violations but Holder say nothing about the largely minority rioters and looters.

It went on…

What would it take to prove that President Obama or members of Congress intended to discriminate against white people when they included the tan tax in the health-care law? There would have to be some record of direct or indirect comments by the officials involved, Kennedy said. Or there would have to be no possible alternate reason for adopting the tan tax.

But the levy’s supporters argued from the start that it had a dual purpose: to raise funds to cover some of the cost of extending health coverage to the uninsured and to discourage a habit that scientific studies have linked with increased risk of cancer.

“To say that this health rationale was a mere pretext for wanting to stick it to white people is completely implausible,” Kennedy said.

Then let’s levy a tax on menthol cigarettes, blunts, jheri curl and 24″ spinners… after all whites can buy these too so there is a remote chance some saltine crackers would pay this tax also and clearly it wouldn’t be aimed at one race, but God help you if you put a tax on do-rags… no Footlocker would be safe.

Seriously, Obama is beginning to rival Woodrow Wilson in racial divide.
