Joe ‘Bite Me’ Biden verses the Reality

First I want to say that I truly hope Joe Biden gets help for his drug problem – clearly after many of his remarks, he’s on them. Get help Joe – you need it.

Anyway I guess you heard what Bite Me said now…

Biden: ‘We’ve seen this movie before’

“For eight years before we arrived in the West Wing, Mr. Boehner and his party ran the economy literally into the ground,” he said. “We’ve seen this movie before, Mr. Boehner. We’ve seen it before and we know how it ends.”

Really?

Biden conceded that the economic recovery was not proceeding as fast as the administration had hoped, but claimed there was “no doubt we’re moving in the right direction.”

Problem is they’ve never said which direction they hope to go – if it’s down then that’s a true statement, otherwise it’s a lie.

Yeah that prior eight year really sucked deficit wise compared to Obama – what about unemployment? (NOTE: Bush spent way more than I liked but he was a rank amateur compared to Obama’s spending.)

Gee seems the unemployment under Bush was on average about 5.3% and under Obama it has been on average above 9.5% with a real unemployment rate is way over double that at 22% yeah the good old days they were horrible – if you were HOPING to be unemployed – but don’t worry Obama CHANGED that. Now unemployment is easy.

Well I’m sure Obama’s tax plan will make everything OK – right?

Obama’s Tax Plan: Bad for Economic Growth

Small businesses that employ the most workers would be particularly hard-hit if the top income tax rates go up.

Ok – well I was wrong about that – what else? Well BiteMe let’s have a look at some of the great leap forwards under Dopey and Thief…

Foreclosure rates surge, biggest jump in 5 years

More homes were taken over by banks and scheduled for a foreclosure sale than in any quarter going back to at least January 2005, when RealtyTrac began reporting the data, the firm said.

U.S. Bankruptcy Rate Skyrockets

The financial crisis just won’t go away. It has manifested itself in the poor performance of the housing market, the failure of hundreds of banks and an unemployment surge. One more problem that has emerged as a result of the recession is the soaring rate of bankruptcy filings across the nation. Bankruptcy filings rose by 20% in the past year, according to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. A stunning total surpassing 1.5 million bankruptcy cases were processed between June 2009 and June 2010, up from about 1.3 million in the prior 12-month period.

CD Rates are Falling: Bad News for Savers

The news of low overall interest rates could be good for borrowers and not so good for savers. Borrowers can look forward to paying lower fees when returning money on a loan which will them help pay off debt more quickly.

Savers are not so lucky. If you are living on a budget and stashing away money for later in CDs, you will not see high returns on those accounts. Many economists don’t see the problem improving in upcoming years. It can be frustrating if you are attempting to be responsible with your finances but not seeing much in return.

Food stamp use hit record 40.8m in May (2010)

The number of Americans who are receiving food stamps rose to a record 40.8 million in May as the jobless rate hovered near a 27-year high, the government reported yesterday.

Number of Houston homeless children increasing at rapid rate

According to statistics released in 2009 by the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County, 2,891 homeless children lived in the Houston area. That number has nearly doubled in 2010, as 5,404 children have been reported homeless so far this year.

The number of Americans who are receiving food stamps rose to a record 40.8 million in May as the jobless rate hovered near a 27-year high, the government reported yesterday.

Tell me Joe do I really need to go on? We are on to your bullshit delusional lies and propaganda that things are better now than they were under Bush – Obama and Biden cannot point to a single success that their policies have yielded – not one! Oh the liberals will say the auto bailout was a success… really is it? GM is desperate to shake the “Government Motors” image and get out from under their thumb. How about the “Cash for Clunkers” program it was a fail. Oh they will say that Obama’s long delayed surge in Afghanistan was a success – a surge that fell 10′s of 1000′s of troops short resulting in a troop death increased to record levels under Obama. So tell me Joe what have you and the other idiot in office done that has worked? Where are the jobs? Where is the growth? Where is the booming economy? How about a easy one for the great communicator – foreign policy – how’s that working out? Not to good huh? So where are your successes Joe, where?

Don’t buy anything that comes out of this administration – the only truth I’ve heard is the claim of the “Fundamental Transformation of America” they just didn’t finish the sentence which said… ‘into a third world, third rate country.’

Yeah Joe, we’ve seen this movie you speak of before and you have too and it was shown in November 1994 and it will see it again this November when you tax and spend progressive morons are sent packing back under the rock from which you came. Remember Joe – what Nancy Reagan said “Just say no to drugs.” It’s good advice, take it.

Reality just ate Biden’s lunch.

Michelle Obama Criticized as “Modern-day Marie Antoinette” Over Spain Vacation

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller reports the C-32A (757) the First Lady used to fly to Spain – one of the planes that usually serves as Air Force Two, and sometimes Air Force One – operates at a Department of Defense reimbursement rate of $11,351 per hour.

So a 6.5 hour flight to Spain would run $73,781.50 – double for the round trip.

Social Security in the red this year

Social Security will pay out more this year than it gets in payroll taxes, marking the first time since the program will be in the red since it was overhauled in 1983, according to the annual authoritative report released Thursday by the program’s actuary.

Meanwhile President Obama’s health care overhaul has given Medicare’s basic Hospital Insurance an extra 12 years of financial stability, though it did not solve all of the program’s long-term challenges.

Is Obama about to forgive billions in mortgage principal?

James Pethokoukis hears rumors of an August surprise coming from the White House, one that will attempt to win backs the hearts and minds of voters dismayed at the failing economic policies of the Obama administration.  With the government fully in control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Barack Obama may issue an order to forgive portions of underwater mortgages processed through the GSEs, where negative equity approaches $800 billion overall.  Some financial houses have begun quietly preparing for the possibility:

Democrats “deem” budget passed

House Democrats ‘Deem’ Faux $1.1 Trillion Budget ‘as Passed’

Last night (7-1-10), as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that “deemed as passed” a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the “deeming” document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget.

The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.

Never before — since the creation of the Congressional budget process — has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.

Can you believe this crap? Not a single Republican voted for this fake budget – so why did the Spendocrats do this? Well its an election year and the Democrats do not know how to cut spending, but they know how to raise taxes and they are playing a game with the Republicans by running up huge debts not paying for them. And when the Republicans win back the House and Senate or at least put a huge dent in their the Democrats majority Obama is going to introduce a VAT and other taxes and when the Republicans bilk at it (and they will) Obama will say that the Republicans are serious about debt reduction – we need debt reduction but we do not need it through more taxes, we need debt reduction through government reduction. Obama has increased the size of government substantially, spending substantially, so-called entitlement substantially which has resulted in the fasted and largest increase in government (read taxpayer) debt in history and Obama as a progressive liberal only knows how to use tax increases as a way out.

So be ready next year Obama is going to plat the ta game with the federal deficit and reducing the size of government will never cross his lying lips – in fact I wouldn’t be surprised a if Obama didn’t ask for more government to control the debt — yeah he’ll ask to spend more to reduce cost (tell me that doesn’t sound like Obama).

Where is the border? And other thoughts…

So I’ve been doing a little test with people – name the states on the southern US border… can you do it? It has really surprised me the number of people that can’t, it’s shocking really. How adults can make it through school and seemingly graduate from high school and college that cannot name the four states on the southern border is beyond me. Really I’m at a loss of words to describe this amount of idiocy and we wonder how Obama got elected – well I don’t and as I’ve said before we are living on a land of utter morons.

Now if you by chance find someone that actually know the FOUR states on the southern border – up the ante and ask what states are on the northern border. Can you name them without a map?

I’ll give you a hint – there are 13 in total and Arizona is not one of them.

ANSWER HERE.

Spend Grayson Spend… Lie Grayson Lie

Last day in the Kentucky primary and cost-cutting Trey Grayson trails ….

Maybe that’s because he is a liar!

http://www.treyspends.com/

Once again, Trey Grayson is lying to save his career as a politician. First, he was caught lying about Rand Paul, now he is lying about his own record. Trey has been touring the state talking about how he reduced the budget of the Secretary of State’s office by 15%. Sounds impressive–the only problem is, it’s just not true.

Trey requested significant budget increases every year he was in office. A whopping 36% increase in 2009 alone! He even fought a Republican Governor who tried to cut his budget. The only reason his actual expenditures went down was because the Kentucky Legislature forced him to take a lower budget. If he had had his way, his budget would have increased over a million dollars while he was in office!

Trey can’t be trusted to tell the truth about his opponent. He can’t be trusted to tell the truth about his record. Can you trust him to fight politics-as-usual in Washington? See Source Here, Here / Here , and Here

But having a Clinton supporter and former Democrat National Convention going registered Democrat lie is really nothing new is it?

GOP’s “You Cut” doesn’t cut it

Eric Cantor introduces the GOP’s “You Cut” but the cuts YOU have the option of CUTTING fall far short of any real cuts – as a matter a fact I think the few cuts they offer are a joke at best and don’t amount to a gnat on a camels ass.

YouCut – a first-of-its-kind project

YouCut – a first-of-its-kind project – is designed to defeat the permissive culture of runaway spending in Congress. It allows you to vote, both online and on your cell phone, on spending cuts that you want to see the House enact. Vote on this page today for your priorities and together we can begin to change Washington’s culture of spending into a culture of savings.

All the options available to cut don’t add up to squat on a government scale – the total available to cut comes to $5.961 billion which doesn’t even come close to the debt the Federal government ran up in the month of April alone.

U.S. posts 19th straight monthly budget deficit (16 of those are Obama’s)

The United States posted an $82.69 billion deficit in April, nearly four times the $20.91 billion shortfall registered in April 2009 and the largest on record for that month, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday.

So I ask what good is it to build a website and run around promoting it to cut a measly $6 billion is a joke – get back to me when you have options to cut trillion or 100′s of billions at the bare minimum. Here let me toss out a few ideas for cuts…

How about we cut congressional pay and perks by 100% until you clowns straighten out and balance the budget?
How about we cut the billions in foreign aid?
How about we reduce the size of government by 50% or more.
How about we repeal the stimulus and put the money back in the bank?
How about we end IMF and UN funding?
How about all remaining campaign monies after the election or when they leave office go to reduce the debt?
How about the GOP come up with some real cut and get back to us?

Neat idea – comical offerings.

More here…
New GOP gimmick: How about we let you guys decide which parts of the budget to cut?

Whats a VAT?

Don’t be surprised to see a VAT (Value added tax) in your future as the government continues to spend and spend and spend and they fail to create jobs the deficit is going up and revenues are going down. Now I know around your house I know that when income fail you don’t spend more – at least I hope you know that.

So what is a VAT? (I refuse to say “VAT tax” it’s redundant.)

A VAT is adding a tax every step of the way. The manufacturer buy the supplies to make a “gizmo” they pay a value added tax, the then manufacture the part and sell it adding again a value added tax to the sell to the wholesaler now the wholesaler marks it up and adds a value added tax again. Then the wholesaler sales it to the retailer who marks it up and adds a value added tax in addition to the sales tax.

So instead of just paying the sales tax, you get to pay a value added tax which is a tax that has been taxed by the retailer that has been taxed by the wholesaler that has be taxed by the manufacture that has been taxed by the supplier. So that the first tax has been taxed an additional 4 times or you are paying taxes on taxes with a value added tax.

I’ve been to many countries that have a VAT and it sucks! (Oh you can apply to get it back if you are not a citizen but it’s a pain in the ass.)

And I’m willing to bet Chairman Obama will try to put one in place since he is spending far more than they will ever take in.

Just so you know… Obama lied again.

If the healthcare bill passes the CBO says is will reduce the deficit by $120-$130 billion over the next 10 years… in February 2010 the Federal government ran up a $154,838,648,440.69 debt or about $30,000,000,000.00 ($30 billion) more in one month then this lass-ass plan will reduce in 10 years. So I ask were is the savings? Where is the debt reduction?

You want to cut the debt – get rid of the hand outs and cut the size of government by 50%

Movie of the Week #4 – Charlie Wilson’s War

Charlie Wilson’s War

Have you heard of Charlie Wilson? Well he died this week and prior to his death odds are you’ve never heard if him, who was he – who was Charlie Wilson? Wilson was an ethics challenged, womanizing, hard drinking, drug using, left-wing carousing libertine that got John Murtha who also died this week off the hook with Abscam and he really had no redeeming qualities except one he helped drive the Soviets out of Afghanistan via black appropriations and clandestine operations, not that I would know anything about that.

This movie is based on the true story of Charlie Wilson (Tom Hanks) a Texas Democrat Congressmen that after pressured with fund raising and sex by a Texas Republican socialite (Julia Roberts) got involved in the Soviet/Afghan War with the aid of the abrasive CIA Officer Gust Avrakotos (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who in my opinion steals the show. Oh and you are wondering how we kept this a secret it was simple the Arabs and the Israelis were working together on weapons deals for the Afghans to fight the Soviets and neither side would ever admit to that.

This is an excellent movie that keeps your attention and well worth watching however it is not recommended for children – rated R

Show me the money (who really cost what?)

So I was bored late last night and I was looking over the Compensation of Employees by Industry tables, I mean really what the hell kind of political geek do you have to be to look at these charts?

But here is something I noticed… Obama moans and groans about the cost of Healthcare in America… it’s breaking us and we’re all going to go bankrupt and DIE if something isn’t done right damn now. Fair enough, but what do the number say – oh those pesky numbers – naughty things – let’s take a look.

In 2008 the total compensation for employees in the HEALTH CARE (line 74) industry was $818,628,000,000.00! Jumpin’ Jeebus on a pogo stick over $800 billion smacks well no wonder we’re going broke good thing the government is there to look out for poor uneducated slobs… but wait – hmmm I wonder what did government cost in the same time frame? I mean it’s got to be much, much lower since they are so concerned over healthcare cost – after all they are looking out for us right? They care about what things cost us so surely healthcare is the biggest expense we have as a nation.

So how much is the government? [Insert old timey calculator sounds here] and we have, carry the two – ot plus ot is ot… and the total for Government (line 86) is $1,569,870,000,000.00! Whoa, that seems a tad higher than the $800 billion healthcare is costing – I mean that seems a lot more than health care is costing as a nation – in fact it seems to be about $751,242,000,000.00 ($751 billion) more per year in industry employee cost.

So do I have this right – the government is worried about we poor plebes paying a little over $818 billion on healthcare employees per year while the government is costing us $1.569 trillion in employee cost per year? Now I know that you wacky liberals are saying “Well most of the is the military because we know the military is over half the budget because I saw it on MSNBC and when MSNBC says it we know it’s true. Okay fine I’ll strip the military pay out of the final tally and surly that will drop it down to mere pennies, because the liberals say it cost so-so much.

Alright stripping the astronomical military budget of $178,322,000,000.00 we’re left with $1,391,548,000,000.00 – well wait a minute that didn’t change much the remaining amount is still nearly a half a trillion more than healthcare employee cost, surely may calculator is broke?

Now keep in mind this data is for 2008 it doesn’t include the additional 200,000 plus employees Obama added to the government payrolls which does not include the temporary census hires nor does it include all the huge pay raises received by government drones under Obama so you can only guess at what the 2009 money numbers are, but you can say they are much higher then 2008 and if you ask me – and you did if you are reading this – the area to cut that would save the taxpayer the most money overall is not from healthcare reform but from government cost reform.

Just think of it a 25% across the board non-military jobs cut in the federal government – why that would save $347,887,000,000.00 per year and since Dopey Obama is so big on talking about saving over the next decade then we’d see a $3,478,870,000,000.00 ($3.5 trillion) over the next 10 years… and really would anybody notice if the government had 25% less people setting around surfing for porn? But we could go a little further and use the Obama tactic of 30 million Americans not covered by healthcare and talk about the 150 million Americans not paying taxes and have no skin in the game, I mean really if you never pay into the system then how can you rightfully complain about the system and I being a guy about fairness do not want these poor untaxed slobs to be left out of the debate. So pay up deadbeats.

And while you are chewing on that, chew on this – the totals for those pesky private sector jobs like construction, real estate, retail sales and manufacturing were all down over the same year by over $16 billion. (See lines 12, 13, 38 and 62)

But I’m just a member of the rural middle American uneducated peasant class so what do I know? Well for one I know what cost more and what needs to be cut and just how to cut it.

But I’m not the only one with this idea….
A Formula of real Economic Growth: Cut Federal Employee Pay 20%
