While listing to Micheal Steele chairman of the RNC, he stated that Obama has spent since taking office $36 BILLION a day, so grab my calculator, ran some numbers and that seems about right, around $1.2 TRILLION since taking office … at this pace we should all be flat busted by the end of the week.
So let’s break some numbers down …
$36,000,000,000.00 divided by the population 305,891,674 is $117.69 a day for every man, women and child in the US. Everyone in your house needs to send Ears Obama a check for that amount … every day of the year, including Sunday and holidays.
Do you pay that much in taxes everyday? Do you make that much everyday? And this is everyone, even those not working, unemployed, children, retired, old and those moochers taking money.
Well that’s not realistic so let’s just use the number of people filing taxes in 2008 according to the IRS, 135,257,620 filings …
$36,000,000,000.00 divided by the total number of actual tax filings in 2008 135,257,620 is $266.16 per day of the year or $373.65 per workday. That’s per actual taxpayer filling a return, you know those that carry the water and not those that drink the water.
So do you pay that much every single day in taxes? Do you even make that much a day? That’s $97,148.40 per year in taxes paid to the Federal Government.
So how much would you and every taxpayer have to make to pay enough taxes to pay this bill?
Let figure every taxpayer pays at the current big bucks rate of 35% of your gross income with zero deductions.
There is 260 work days per year at 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, so in order to pay enough taxes to cover the $36,000,000,000.00 per day in Obama spending you will need to pay $373.65 in taxes per workday. This is $277,567.00 a year or $133.45 an hour or $1067.60 a day, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day in salary/wages.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t make that much … but keep in mind, this is at the 35% tax rate with zero deductions, under Obama you’ll be going to be taxes at the 39% tax rate he purposed because it’s over $250,000.00
Now this is just Federal Taxes, you still have to pay, state, county, city, sales, gas, phone and about 1000 other taxes too. So if you’re not making $277,567.00 a year you need to ask for a raise right now. The Obama’s spend-a-thon depends on it. So maybe if you are lucky, by the time you finish paying all those taxes you’ll net minimum wage. Maybe.
