Now I ask you will the mainstream media report this error? Will the late night comics make fun of him? Will he get the George Bush treatment? America did not invent the car, they invented the assembly line that mass produced them. So that would make him an idiot … it would if he was George Bush. But no, the media and comics will give him a pass, I’m not.
So if he screws up something this simple … then what else will he screw up? What other facts is he not checking?

Didn’t Obama also say that America built the transcontinental railroad during the civil war? While the central pacific stretch was started in 1863, the union pacific stretched wasn’t started until july 1865. The transcontinental railroad from omaha ne to sacremento ca wasnt completed until nov 6, 1869. And since there was not a railway bridge over the missouri river (they had train barges to move trains across at council bluffs, ia to omaha ne) the nation was not connected from coast to coast until 1872.
