How do the Muslims feel?

You know I thought about this post before I published it – I thought am I being fair to all Muslims? After all I shouldn’t lump every Muslim into one group, but then again I thought well who cares I get lumped into a single group constantly deservedly or not – fair or not, sure I’ve known some really nice Muslims. But I never heard them speak out against terrorism or the Islamic hate for America or the west – equally I never heard them openly support it. So what I’m going to do is to separate the person from the religion. There are Muslims I have no issues with – BUT the overall general attitude of the Islamic world I do (and after all Muslim is Islam, they go hand and hand.)

So anyway on with the post… How do the Muslims feel?

Frankly, I don’t give a crap how the Muslim world feels nor do I know what in the hell NASA has to do with making Muslims feel good… what we’ve gone from nation building to self-esteem and ego building? Oh sure while Obama is certainly an expert on egos – I don’t think it’s the job of NASA nor anything the taxpayer should be funding.

NASA Chief: Next Frontier Better Relations With Muslim World

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his “foremost” mission as the head of America’s space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

The hell it is… WTF? Over. The “S” is for ‘Space’ and not “Sensitivity”

“When I became the NASA administrator — or before I became the NASA administrator — he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science … and math and engineering,” Bolden said in the interview.

This makes my blood boil… let me ask you how do the Muslim feel when the planes crashed into the Twin Towers – I seem to remember them celebrating in the streets. I didn’t see any out reaching from the Muslim world to see how we feel, nothing to build our self esteem up after an attack. So I don’t care how the Muslims feel about any damn thing – I know what some of you are saying ‘Oh AWG, not ALL Muslims are bad some a good decent people.” Really? Then let me ask you this where were those good decent Muslims asking how the parents of the victims of the Marine Barracks bombing in 1983 felt at the loss of their children? Did they reach out to see if they felt good about their service? Where were those good caring Muslims at? Were they wondering with concern and compassion how those people felt that had to leap from the windows a 100 floors up? Where were the Muslim asking how the family and passengers felt as their planes were hijacked and flown into building? Did they CARE as they flew into terror? I didn’t hear anything from any of Muslim world or the Muslim people? Where they concerned how the victims of the Lockerbee Scotland hijacking felt? I seem to remember welcoming the bomber mastermind home with celebration and open arms and no concern for how the western world felt.

As a matter of fact I can’t think of a single terrorist attack carried out by a Muslim, which is most of them where the Muslim world step forward and condemned the attack and showed concern about how the victims felt and now I’m suppose to give a shit about how they feel as a culture, math and science? Give me a damn break until I hear loud honest outcry from the Muslim world about the radical terrorist activities from many members of their culture – I could give a shit about how they feel about anything.

And someone point me in the direction of a Muslim envoy that came in and asked about the feelings of the American people when the Muslims announced they are going to build a Mosque right at ground zero? What… there wasn’t one? Hmmm but yet our government has task NASA to give them a warm fuzzy… $#&^@$ ridiculous!

So just for fun I asked number of random people over the last week since this story broke if they thought we should build up the Muslim esteem by praising their contribution to math and science which by the way are slim. However, while the Arab/Islamic world have invented many things over the last 3000 years they pale in comparison to the number of American inventions in just the last 234 years, but that just one of the differences between freedom and oppression. I would rather be historically accurate than politically correct.
