Let me say first like Chicago I have friends in Chicago I’ve spent a lot of time there and much like other metropolitan areas it has go some great places to eat. So aside from the great dining you guy elect some of the dumbest and most corrupt son’s of bitches in politics anyone has ever seen? What’s up with that?
This guy Otis McDonald, 76 of Chicago has taken on the city over the 2nd amendment and it looks like he is going to win as Chicago has one of the strictest gun bans in the country. Here is the deal and the fallacy of logic – Chicago seems to think that if you ban guns all of the sudden the criminal element is going to turn over their weapons – no only the law biding citizens will obey the law and then you end up with the city of victims and oddly enough in the years after Chicago’s gun ban went into effect gun related crime went up.
The liberal genius Chicago city attorney Benna Solomon said…
Solomon said that of the 412 murders involving firearms in Chicago in 2008, handguns were used in 402 of them.
“We in the city of Chicago have not taken the position that other governments around the country have to regulate handguns in the way that our citizens have chosen to do so. It works for Chicago and that is why we do it. It may not work other places and those places don’t have to do it,” said Solomon.
Keep in mind Chicago’s ban has been in place for 28 years and somehow Solomon thinks that only 402 murders is proof the hand gun ban is working… liberal logic it rarely makes sense and it fails to do so here.
This is the basic problem with Chicago’s ban – neither a state or community can regulate your constitutional rights, Chicago could no more restrict the 1st Amendment rights than they can the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th etc. This is one of the many-many problems with liberals they seem to think the constitution is a liberal buffet that a governing body can pick and choose amongst personal rights – WRONG it’s a take it or leave it kind if thing.
The Supreme Court will rule in favor of Otis straight down ideological lines – 5-4.
