Tea-publicans or Teapublicans was originally coined by the progressive Kool-Aid liberal media, so what – I say embrace it as that would do more to annoy them than anything else we could do… they want you to be upset and waste time complaining – screw’em embrace it, confuse them and move on.
Maddow Invents New Terms to Degrade Conservatives: GOP-Baggers, Tea-Publicans
In the coming 2010 election and the next few after that it’s time for the Teapublican Party to shine. To increase their efforts from getting involved to getting elected, it’s fine to protest and write you elected representatives but they aren’t listening and as the movement grows more and more mainstream borderline republicans are going to try and hook their wagon to the group and the way I’ve seen it – they have had their chance and they blew it. (Right Newt?) So while the odds of a grassroots Teapublican being a viable candidate at the national level is slim there is a increased opportunity to get involved at state and local levels. I’m not talking third party just so you understand that’s the fast lane to defeat, I’m talking running as a republican on the GOP ticket, okay got it?
More and more Teapublicans are running for school boards, city counsels, county boards, county commissioners, local and state offices as for far to long the GOP candidates of choice have trickled down from the top level such as the RNC and establishment republicans. Their picks often mimic themselves and end with disastrous results giving the country more of the same and not the change so needed.
In my own State (Commonwealth) of Kentucky the establishment GOP has tapped long time politician and former democrat Clinton delegate Trey Grayson as the guy to fill Jim Bunnings seat, how is that change? How is this new? How is this not more of the same and who would you trust more the opinion of long time Washington insiders that have been part of the problem or the citizens on the ground that are looking for the solution? We have to make these preordained candidates toxic if they are more of the same. This is not unique to Kentucky many other states are doing the same thing and as more and more Washington elites tuck tail and retire this year you will see the Michael Steel and the GOP tap more of the same like-minded stuck in a rutt republicans. I think anyone involved with the GOP at a grassroots level will openly admit that Michael Steel as been less than impressive, he has put to much effort into making the RNC look “cool and hip” to attract the youth vote when in reality what Steel should do is clear the mud to these the youth vote of just how the country they say they love will be gone if we continue on this path of big government and big spending. Michael Steel trying to be cool and hip is like Pee Wee Herman trying to be macho.
The Teapublicans know and are saying what the RNC will never openly admit, do to the toxic nature of the perceived political ramification and that is the need to reform entitlements, not just social security and Medicare but the sizable drains of food stamps, welfare and public housing on the taxpayer. The Teapublican know that everyone must have some “skin in the game” and stop “gaming the system” which has become more of a way of life for many families instead of a temporary safe stop on the ladder up. everybody must pay something in taxes, no one should reap benefits with no investment and that’s just the way it is.
Record numbers receive food stamps as USDA turns blind eye to recipients’ finances
Obama’s latest proposed budget includes $72.5 billion for the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program i.e Food Stamps) program, a 30 percent increase over $55.6 spent in 2009. The program is on track to double in size by 2011 — as recently as 2008 it accounted for only $37.6 billion. Since the start of the recession in late 2007, food-stamp rolls jumped from 27 million individuals to 38 million, or 13 percent of the total U.S. population. The federal government hasn’t distributed food aid to this many people since the Great Depression.
“Applicants will not need to provide documentation verifying their resources,” wrote Jessica Shahnin, associate administrator for SNAP in a letter to all regional SNAP offices encouraging them to lower barriers to entry for people looking for food assistance.
“Lower barriers to entry for people looking for food assistance”, no this is a liberal mindset and it’s costing us dearly. The barriers need to be raised, enforced and audited on a regular basis until the leeches, slackers and system gamers are weeded out and I find this to be a fundamental Teapublican belief, one of many. There are some that need help but not nearly as many that are getting it.
The mainstream media will paint Teapublicans as strict political ideologies, rigid in their belief. uncaring of the poor and unwelcoming of those that differ in opinion and anyone involved knows this is far from the case. I know a number of Tea Party members that I differ with on some views however the root view of smaller, more efficient, less intrusive government with lower taxes and getting back to the founding principles is the main thread of cohesion, the Teapublicans have a much bigger tent than the mainstream media wants to portray and they know this and that is what scares the bejeebus out of them. So because of this, they will continue to attack and smear and their viewer ship and market share will continue to decline.
Now there are those within the Tea Party-Teapublican movement and have a very narrow view and a strict ideologies that are intolerant of opposing views. this has causes strife and growing pains, however my opinion is that if the movement s to move forward and be successful then a great acceptance of varying views are going to have to be accepted as long as the core values are kept and those core values need to be kept to the fundamental core principles of conservatism. you just can’t lay down a 100 point list and except everyone to believe them or else, that doesn’t work and it will not work, but some are rigid ideologist and they will be accepted but shuffled to the rear of the room.
The democrats, progressives, liberals mainstream media and the liberal rags will continue to promote this stereotypes of racism, bigotry, they will continue to polarize, continue to name call, continue to try to marginalize and it will be at their own peril as one by one the Teapblicans will fill seats at all levels of government and return it to the core principles and beliefs that made it great, capitalism, self reliance, personal responsibility, opportunity, respect and adherence to the Constitution and non-revisionist American history all the thing that the progressive left has worked decades to destroy. Americans have been asleep and they are no more, the tide has turned against the progressive agenda and they are in full panic mode. Isn’t it great?
