Sorry for the disjointed rambling here but I wrote this in bits over the weekend…

White House plans to address nation’s record $1.6 trillion deficit, hoping to cut $250 billion after 10 years

The White House said Sunday that even though the deficit goes up from its $1.4 trillion level this year, their budget plan brings it down to $792 billion in 2015. However, their calculations are based in large part on measures that must be approved by Congress, and which are by no means a certainty.

Obama ran up a record debt in 2009 of $1,400,000,000,000.00 ($1.4T) and is on track to run up a $1,600,000,000,000.00 ($1.6T) in 2010 for a grand total of $3,000,000,000,000.00 ($3 trillion) in his first two years in office, but don’t worry he is going to freeze a little bit of the spending (about 8%) for 3 years on the budgets he has already raised by around 22% … don’t you feel better now?

Obama said this spending freeze will save $250 billion over the next ten years, which is odd since this so-called freeze is only slated to last three years and even if this smoke and mirrors freeze was permanent it would take 120 year just to wipe out Obama’s debt created in the last two year and that’s not adding in interest.

By the way this projected debt of $1,600,000,000,000.00 for 2010 is more debt than this country accumulated from George Washington to the end of Ronald Reagan term and Obama runs out there in the SOTU and tries to sell the American people he is a deficit hawk, are you buying it? I’m not.

One of the most ridiculous things Obama want to do in this budget is cut NASA’s space research and redirect their mission to “climate change research” this on the heels of evidence after evidence of phony data, dubious data and questionable sources. Granted most of NASA is more of a luxury than a necessity, but to divert their mission to climate study, which is failing apart at the seams, is just misguided. And just so you know most of the greatest invention in the last 50 years can trace their roots back to the space program.

But that’s not all…

Oh just so you know – this Obama budget also uses $646 billion in income from Cap and Trade – which hasn’t been passed yet and should not be passed. So this so-called budget should be rejected out right for counting the chickens before the eggs have been laid for them to hatch. Talk about fuzzy math… that’s like buying a car based on a raise you’re likely not going to get and guessing very optimistically at the amount of the raise – it’s foolish at best.

Obama also adds in claimed savings from ObamaCare of about $100 million, which has not passed either and shouldn’t.

The $4.4 billion question: Will Central Floridians take the train?

This is part of the failed stimulus but it’s all coming out of the same wallet – ours.

Another big waste is this high-speed rail in Florida at the tune of $4,400,000,000.00 ($4.4 billion). The first part of this boondoggle is $1.2 billion for a 61-mile stretch, 61 miles for $1.2 billion or about $19,7 million a mile or $3731.07 a foot or $310.92 an inch. Somehow I don’t think this is a bargain, first of all it’s 61 miles about a 2-hour drive if you factor in traffic and parking

So how long would it take to ride the train? Let’s see drive to the station find a parking spot, wait in line to buy a ticket, wait in line to go through security because you know it will have the same security as flying, wait in line to get on the train, ride the train and arrive at the station, get off the train and wait for a bus or cab to take you to your destination then to do it all again to get back to your car at the first station. Do you really think you’re going to save one single second of time or is the train going to take longer? It’s 61 damn miles not exactly a cross country trip and just like flying anymore if it’s less than 300 miles it’s faster to drive.

This is a crap idea and a huge waste of money, but it’s Florida and Florida has played a pivotal roll in the last two elections so I ask again… why do they want to build a 61-mile high-speed train in Florida? After all it’s called high speed and not less time.

This budget is insane and what I want to know from the Republicans is where are their balls? They said if they tried to pass healthcare without Scott Brown being seated they would fight it. Obama’s democrat congress passed straight down party line a $1.9 TRILLION debt increase without Brown being seating and the appointed Mass Senator cast this vote after the election. Why haven’t the Republicans challenged this as they were any healthcare vote? I don’t know the Senate rules, but I’ve placed a call the Mitch McConnell to find out.

This budget assumes so many rosy dreams it’s a joke. It works on a best of the best case scenario for revenues in and minimizes expenditures out only an idiot would base any budgetary forecast in this method and this is what happens when you send a boy to do a mans job.

Somebody tell me name one thing the government has done that has come on under budget? One, I’m asking…. well? That’s what I thought, nothing.
