Daily Kos Founder Says ‘Teabaggers’ and Republicans ‘Who Hate Brown People’ Will Put the Brakes on Immigration Bill

Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, a Democratic strategist and founder of the left-wing blog “The Daily Kos,” told reporters Thursday that “comprehensive immigration reform” legislation sponsored by Rep. Luiz Gutierrez (D-Ill.) — which would provide a “pathway to citizenship” for illegal aliens — has a good shot at passage this year.

But Moulitsas said that “teabaggers” and Republicans who “hate brown people” would try to push back against it.

Let me explain something to Markos Moulitsas Zuniga who’s been teabagged multiple times, we already have a “pathway to citizenship” and if those people sneaking into the country used it and the government enforced it we wouldn’t have these problems to begin with it. Zuniga is going to make it about Mexicans, the Latino vote and the racism against them, news flash liberals - it’s not about Mexicans or Hispanics or Latinos it is about anyone from any country in these United States illegally, period and that is the message the conservatives and republicans needs to get out.

I do not want to hear this endless whining about racism that the left is going to spew, but we will hear it. It not “the brown people” an euphemism for the Hispanics jumping the fence, it is so the Europeans, Africans, Asians over staying their Visas, it the Chinese sneaking in the country inside cargo containers, it’s the Cuban boat people, it is anybody from another country that is in the United States illegally and “illegally” is the key word, you are welcome here legally and there is no gray area, you are here legally or you aren’t.

So when these liberals tell me I have a problem with “brown people” I simply say ‘no I have a problem with illegal people.’ I have spent an incredible amount of time all around the world and quite a bit in Mexico. Places like – Mexico City, Oacaxa, Monterrey, Aguascalientes, Villahermosa, Querétaro to name a very few and I love the Mexican culture and the food (ah the food just love it the real stuff not the phony Americanized crap), the colors in many areas are just beautiful, the history and the music. Mexico has some really great areas, but unfortunately a lot of slum areas too, especially around Mexico City.

I have met and befriended a lot of the folks in Mexico and if they want to come to America, great – do it, but do it legally and learn English. When I worked in Mexico I did not expect the menu to be in English, nor the stores or the signs and when I called some place in Mexico there was no option to press anything for English it was Spanish or nothing. ¿Usted entiende? And that’s the way it should be, it forced me to learn really bad Spanish and the companies I did work for – mostly industries formally from the United States – were appreciative of the fact that I tried to communicate in their language.

So Liberals, don’t give me that “you’re a racist” crap that conservatives and Republicans don’t like brown people from Mexico, Central or South America or anyplace else on the planet, I don’t want to hear it. We conservatives don’t like illegal aliens regardless of their point of origin, their skin color, their gender or any of that – it is completely moot, it doesn’t matter. What we want to do is to apply the laws and paths currently in place. Think of it like plumbing, you cannot fix the leak until you turn off the water. So fix the boarder, the ports, deport the illegals and show them the path to citizenship leads back across that boarder and then in through the proper channels. And for those that say we can’t deport 10-15 million people in this country illegally – they said we couldn’t put a man ion the moon either. We will not find them all, but we’ll find a lot more if we start looking. You do not reward those that broke our laws with a easier path to citizenship then those that followed the rules, what message does that send?

If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. So if America is worth coming to, it’s worth coming to correctly and if you don’t agree with me then your probably a racist.
