John Kerry takes issue with the Tea Party

I cannot help but find irony in John Kerry condemnation of the TEA Party as bad for Massachusetts, has John Kerry forgotten the location of the very first Tea Party in 1773? I seem to recall it was in Boston, Massachusetts – please correct me if I am wrong.

Here we are just days away from the election in Massachusetts between Scott Brown and Martha Coakley. In the last week Brown as gained steadily on Coakley as she has committed gaff are gaff, so with luck Scott Brown will win and end the democrat 60 vote control in the Senate.

Now back to Herman Munster – John Kerry said…

“Think GOP obstruction is bad now?” Senator Kerry asks in a fundraising letter sent out Tuesday morning by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. “Just imagine what Washington would look like if a bunch of new senators – inspired by Sarah Palin and the tea party crowd – took over.”

Hmm, let us think about this a minute Gomer, the last time the TEA Party crowd took over we saw the birth of a great new nation. A nation free from tyranny and aristocracy that rose up to be the ‘shining light on the hill’ and John Kerry has a problem with that? John Kerry and the democrat machine believe these people are a ring-wing fringe group, has John Kerry forgotten that if the Tea Party was actually a political party it would receive as many votes as the democrats? But the tea party made up of Mom’s, Dad’s and everyday hard working American are nothing more than radicals? John you forget who pays your salary.

Let us have a look at the original Tea Party verses the one we have going on today…

What caused the first tea party, was it just the tea? Well no it was a series of events.

Long story short – King George III had a costly French and Indian War and the royal coffers were running a little thin, so the King looked across the sea and said ‘Hey I’m broke, I’ll tax those colonist as they’re getting to independent and they need to be reeled in.” So the George enacts the Stamp Act (1765), the Townsend Acts (1767) and then they had the Boston Massacre. (1770) The colonist had just about had with this oppression and violence, still more money the King pushed a little more and decided to tax their tea and that was the last straw! And in 1773 the enraged colonist tossed the tea into the Boston Harbor and thus sparked the American Revolution.

Flash forward about 250 years and we have another King George that started it all with the TARP bailouts thanks to poor lending policies forced by the government. Then comes along King Urkle running up domestic debt faster than at any point in history. He started with the Stimulus Package, then the Omnibus spending, the automotive bailouts and the stalled but pending Cap and Trade and now the takeover of healthcare with sweet deals for selected groups of citizens and put Cash for Clunkers, Cash for Caulkers on top as the cherry the American taxpayer can see the writing on the wall that you can not have this amount of spending and government takeovers without dramatically raising taxes.

With this ever increasing encroachment on person and States rights and the looming tax increases the American public is dangerously close to the 1773 boiling point that ushered in the American Revolution, the question is what will that tipping point be and if so – what will that invent be?

Interestingly I found this advertisement supporting Brown after I wrote this post and it draws the same parallels.
