In June 1942, eight men were caught planing to committing acts of sabotage on the USA in what was known as Operation Pastorious so lets look at a few interesting facts about this…
They were caught in June, 1942
FDR set up military tribunals to try them.
Their lawyers trying to get that changed to civilian court.
The Supreme Court said “No”
They were tried and found guilty by a military tribunal.
Six of the eight were executed in August of 1942… just 2 months after they were caught.
Now fast forward 60 years…
Khalid Sheik Mohammed was charged with masterminding the 9/11 attacks…. Bush setup, just like the DEMOCRAT FDR did military tribunals which this past week the incompetent Eric Holder, who let the Black Panthers go free, who pardons the FALN terrorists now decides to change the Bush administrations military tribunal to trying him in civilian court this is just wrong!
What’s it mean… it means that KSM now has the rights afforded the citizens by the US Constitution, this is disgraceful and it under-minds the sacrifices made by the military.
What’s that mean? The rules of a military tribunal are far different from that of a civilian court, fist he was caught as a terrorist and not Mirandized which in a civilian court you have to be, he was “tortured” according the loons on the left and that again isn’t allowed in civilian law. So trying him in civilian court is going to open a Pandora’s box.
