This ain’t America no mo’ says Wesley Cheeks, Jr

Just watch this…

This video was taken on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at Rep. Jim Moran’s (D-VA) Town Hall meeting on Obama Deathcare (Howie Dean was there too) held at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA.

Many people were left outside when the school filled to capacity. School security officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. did not like my anti-Obamacare poster which used one of the gone-viral “Joker” graphics.

When I said to Officer Cheeks, “This used to be America!” his response was: “It ain’t no more, OK?”

No… not OK! Cheek’s it’s still America and it will stay that way as long as I draw a breath.

But what it seems like to me is Officer Cheeks makes the law up as he goes along… I wonder if Obama will say he acted “stupidly”? He has a 100% chance of getting it right this time and then we can move forward with Beer Summit II.

So are you a lawyer in Virgina? If so SUE THE %*&@ OUT OF THAT COP for violations of the posters holders civil and constitutional rights, freedom of express is allowed at any public event regardless if it’s a school.

You know really I’m speechless about this… I know the MSM will never show it but you can bet your ass it will in the conservative media… get the word out that the Virginia Police say this isn’t America no mo’…

You have to wonder would a white cop have said the same thing? Somehow I doubt it. Let me pretent to be a liberal and call the cop a racist, because he’s black the joker is black and the protester was white, I’m sure the ACLU will be all over this one… right?

I await the out come of this event.

Ok a little research it seem Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr is a School Security Office but is it unclear if he is Officer of the Law, if he isn’t he can’t charge anyone with anything and is impersonating an officer which is a felony (or a misdemeanor depending on the circumstances.)

Punishable up to…

* Imprisonment up to five years (sometimes more)
* Fines (usually $1000 or more)
* Probation
* Permanent criminal record

Oh and while I’m thinking about since Officer Cheeks claims that this isn’t America anymore and the protester doesn’t have 1st Amendment right then it’d be safe to say Officer Cheeks 13th Amendment is no longer applicable either.

Q: Do high school students have First Amendment rights?
A: Yes. As the United States Supreme Court said in 1969, “It can hardly be argued that either students or teachers shed their constitutional right to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate.” But the First Amendment only prohibits government officials from suppressing speech; it does not prevent school censorship at private schools. A state constitution, statute or school policy could provide private school students with free speech protections.

A Google search will show 3 news stories on Wesley Cheeks Jr and one of those are from Canada. Nothing from the mainstream media.

    I’ve been a cop for over 33 years and I’ve seen the video, was horrified by it and from reading other blogs so weren’t a lot of other law enforcement people. If he is a school security officer then it would explain a lot to the rest of us that are well trained, professional, honest, intelligent, can think on our feet, know better than to verbally back ourselves into a corner, and place the rights and safety of our citizens above all else. I’m not sure if the person in the video is writing this blog but if it is then I would ask on behalf of the rest of the law enforcement community that you not judge the rest of us by the actions of this officer.
