1,200 Gulf War Veterans Wrongly Told They Have ALS
Remember this is GOVERNMENT RAN HEALTH CARE.
National Gulf War Resources Center Vice President Denise Nichols says panicked veterans from Alabama, Florida, Kansas, North Carolina, West Virginia and Wyoming have contacted her group.
The letters dated Aug. 12 were intended to notify veterans who have amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, of disability compensation benefits available to them.
Calls to the VA were not immediately returned Monday.
Nichols said the VA is blaming a coding error for the mistake.
Oh it’s just a “coding error” no big deal right? What if it was a coding error to remove your healthy left lung and not your diseased right lung? What is it was a coding error that you needed your leg amputated and all you had was a sprain? Just a coding error… oops cover that?
This is what happen when you go from being a patient to being a number and the answer is, no oops doesn’t cover that.
