This joke of an administration as released more statement about someone “misspeaking” about something than at anytime in history as far as I can tell.
Dating back to Hillary Clinton’s claim that she misspoke about Bosnian sniper fire it would seems to me that the term “misspoken” is govermentese for “Big Fat Lie.” (Remember Hillary’s claim she had to dodge sniper fire in Bosnia, when in fact a young school girl greeted her with a poem.)
Let’s check the list as I remember it, please let me know if I miss one…
Attorney General Eric Holder misspoke about “America being a nation of cowards.”
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano misspoke about veterans being “rightwing extremists.”
Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner misspoke about middle class tax hikes.
(There was another guy that said this too, but he also misspoke according to spokesmen.)
White House Senior Advisor David Axelrod misspoke about Obama’s meeting with Rod Blagojevich.
President Barack Obama misspoke about AARP supporting his health plan.
White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs misspoke when calling Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Iran’s elected leader.
President Barack Obama misspoke about doctors charging $50,000 to amputate a leg.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius misspoke about the public option on health care.
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor misspoke about Hispanic women make better judges than white men.
While he never admitted it Obama misspoke when he said the police acted “stupidly.”
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I’m sure there are more and I am really sure there will be more.
