For far to long the majority of the American people lived in the land of apathy, the Apathy Party. We all had Government apathy, election apathy, just all around political apathy where more people voted for American Idol than they did many elections, admit it you’ve likely been there. I’ve lived in the wonderful world of apathy for awhile when younger, we all have at some point. We’ve all had at one time or another the “I don’t care what you do, just leave me the hell alone.” attitude. If you watch these Town Hall meetings you hear again and again is average everyday folks talking about how they have never paid attention to politics, they never got involved, they didn’t care as long as they were left alone to live their life and for decades they were just that for the most part, they were left alone. But something changed, something got their collective attention.
First came TARP under Bush 43 in late in 2008 and few in the public agreed, but apathy prevailed and the era of the bailouts begun all while many watched reruns of Survivor and Dancing with the Stars. Then along come the Democrat Barack Obama with a Democrat Congress and their big spending, big government, nanny state ideas… first they rams through a nearly $800,000,000,000.00 ($800B) so-called stimulus plan and the peoples apathy slowly turned to a general malaise that something wasn’t quite right… then came the Omnibus Spending with 9000 earmarks, the House passing “Cap and Trade” (i.e. Crap and Tax stalled in the Senate), then the implemented the pathetically ran “Cash for Clunker” and with all the promises of transparency gone, no time to read the bills and a general feeling of being scammed by empty words, empty promises and disconnected government accompanied with the evidence that six months onto the so-called stimulus; unemployment is up 1.5% above the promises, personal spending is down, government spending is at record levels, foreclosures are up, the year-to-date deficit has hit $1,270,000,000,000.00 ($1.27T) and going higher, consumer confidence it at a decades low, but still the government continues to ignore the voice of the voter, the people… and the people said enough is enough and when the ill conceived Health Care Plan was presented and being pushed upon the people we knew it was time to push back and so we did.
The White House uses the philosophy of crisis and Congress had adopted the philosophy of hurry – hurry before the public knows what’s in it, hurry before they have time to read it, hurry before they know what it cost, hurry so we can get it signed and the people said enough. The people saw a President that took six months to pick out a dog and wanted mere few days to restructure and nationalize nearly 18% of the largest economy in the history of man and the people said no, slow down, read the bill let’s take our time with this, yet the White House and the Democrat Congress said no, we need to hurry, we need to rush to pass this bill that doesn’t go fully into effect for nearly 4 years and the people said enough! NO!
So begun the Town Halls and the people had questions, the people had read the bill, the people understood what was in it and the elected leader of the nation did not so the people grew angry. Questions were asked and not answered, lies were told and the people knew, claims were made that were proven false and the Democrats knew they were in trouble, the President knew he was in trouble and liberals in government went on the attack. They called you a mob, un-American, a political terrorist, Nazis, stupid, ignorant and when those didn’t work they played the old and tired race card and they called you a racist on the assumption there is a Black man in the White House… might I remind these mental midgets that the Black man is as much White as he is Black so try again with your cries of racism. This is not about race, it’s about political philosophy, it’s about freedom of choice, it’s about freedom and the directions of this country. We know what we see and we don’t like it, so there will be apathy no more.
Oh here is a list of congressmen that opted not to here your voice.
Really it quite simple, when the liberals fail to win the debate in the arena of public opinion they vilify and cry racism like a school child, they’ve cried racism so long that it’s lost it punch and the claims fall on deaf ears. It’s no longer effective, it’s mocked and laughed upon as tried and failed. The liberal who have exploited the assertion that only they stand for the poor, the children, the disenfranchised is disingenuous it best. They have no valid argument to there social causes they are of the mindset that only they can solve the problems we face. Time and time again the liberal agenda and methodologies have failed, all of their agenda has turned into giant fraud laden behemoths riddled with abuse. The liberal declared a War on Poverty over 40 years ago and we are further away today from winning than we were then, but the liberals say they care? The main reason the Democrat congress is pushing this Health Care bill is because they want it, the Democrat want this bill not for them, but for you as a political monument to Obama’s ego.
And all this abuse of power, this self-severing-ego-stroking-cram down your throat legislation must be stopped and as one opponent said you’ve awoken a sleeping a giant and that giant is no longer apathetic, it’s angry and your actions will not be soon forgotten.
