RIP Cash for Clunkers we barely knew you… yep about 4 days after it was begun it was killed due to poor government estimates and management. The program designed by Obama to take old cars off the road, you know cars that most poor people could afford and grind them up so that those poor people either have to walk because they’re fat or they can only buy a clunker over 25 years old that’s difficult to find parts for.

The government is suspending the explosively popular ‘cash for clunkers’ program at midnight tonight fearing it would go broke before it could parcel out what it still owes dealers for a huge backlog of sales.

Here is the question I have… if the Obama administration can’t properly run the CASH FOR CLUNKERS then how on earth are they going to run National Health Care? Just another OBAMA FAILED POLICY and the answer is they can’t.

I guess that they “underestimated” that too? It seems to me the Obama administration makes a striking number of math errors and yet there are still some people that think they can reform Health Care effectively. Wake up kids “The One” is in WAY OVER his big arrogant head.
Oh and as a side note the Government will not even allow salvage of these cars, so if you have a old cars you’re holding on to… forget getting parts for it.. that is unless you want some substandard Chinese ripoff part that is likely to fail. (Never buy Chinese after market parts unless you are a daredevil, you are risking your life.)
UPDATE: The Fed’s are rushing to pump an extra $2,000,000,000.00 into the program.

Now if they ran out of the first billion in 4 days exactly how long will an additional two billion bucks last? Well if I pullout and use my trusty Obama calculator I’m guessing about 40 years. (Liberal Alert that’s sarcasm.)

Why aren’t people upset over the whole cash for clunkers program? Basically we give billions to people who were not civic minded enough to buy more fuel efficient vehicles and the people who were, get to fund it. Just another case of rewarding those who don’t deserve it – poorly run banks (Bank of America), Insurance (AIG), Corp (GM) and now even the general public who continue to make poor decisions benefit at everyone’s expense. When does it end? Why not give a rebate to everyone who bought a fuel efficient car with the last year or who will buy one in the next year. That puts money into the economy and sells cars. And to pump up state’s economy and motivate those who bought gas guzzlers that get less than 18 mpg, why not add a surcharge to their registrations?
Why not just subsidize the cost of the hybrid cars so that a person will get what they pay for?
Why anyone pays $25K for a Toyota Prius when they can get a Ford Mustang for a better price I’ll never know. Wow, they can save $10 a week at the gas pump. I prefer to take an hour off of my commute time every week and leave the tree hugging to others…
