The Obama/Biden Agenda

I spent the majority of last evening read the Obama Agenda I used 3 rolls of duct tape, several drinks and a bottle of Bayer. Large parts of it will never get passed in congress or see the light of day, it’s there as liberal fodder only. Other parts are things that are just a really bad idea and will die a quite death. I’ll admit it I saw a couple of good idea, like foods country of origin labels and other that were good, but just not realistic.

I’m not going to bore you with going through the 100 or so bullet points on dozens of pages of bah, blah, blah in Obamas agenda, but several of them he has already stated he can’t do or will have to be scaled back (guess the webmaster didn’t get the memo) and some are just as said unrealistic, so for you entertainment lets look at a few of them (Note most have been truncated for brevity.) and for the most part they are pulled at random and not the most absurd ones I saw, you’ll have to read it yourself to find those …

“Reinstate PAYGO Rules: President Obama and Vice President Biden believe that a critical step in restoring fiscal discipline is enforcing pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) budgeting rules which require new spending commitments or tax changes to be paid for by cuts to other programs or new revenue.”

Oh-rylee … is this why the printing presses are running overtime to pay as you go? Hell I could pay as I go to if I could print my own money. You’re already spending money like it’s water, so is that the plan … rack up trillions in debt then reinstate PAYGO right before you leave office?

“Cut Pork Barrel Spending: As a Senator, President Obama introduced and passed bipartisan legislation that would require more disclosure and transparency for special-interest earmarks. Obama and Biden believe that spending that cannot withstand public scrutiny cannot be justified. Obama and Biden will slash earmarks to no greater than 1994 levels and ensure all spending decisions are open to the public.”

Aren’t you the guy that got about a $1,000,000.00 for every day you served in the Senate in pork?

“End Wasteful Government Spending: Obama and Biden will stop funding wasteful, obsolete federal government programs that make no financial sense. … Obama and Biden will also tackle wasteful spending in the Medicare program.”

Haven’t we been hearing this since George Washington? What obsolete programs? Welfare? Food Stamps?

“End Deceptive Voting Practices: President Obama will sign into law his legislation that establishes harsh penalties for those who have engaged in voter fraud and provides voters who have been misinformed with accurate and full information so they can vote.”

Whatever Mr ACORN you think anyone is going to believe that?

“Repeal Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell: President Obama agrees with former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff John Shalikashvili and other military experts that we need to repeal the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. The key test for military service should be patriotism, a sense of duty, and a willingness to serve…”

Further proof that you and Biden never lived in a open squad bay … join the military, drop the soap in the shower and get back to me.

“Provide generous tax cuts for low- and middle-income seniors, homeowners, the uninsured, and families sending a child to college or looking to save and accumulate wealth.”

How can you cut taxes on those that don’t pay taxes … is this a riddle? And why would anyone want to accumulate wealth if you are going to tax them for having wealth … again with the riddles.

“Raise the Minimum Wage to $9.50 an Hour by 2011: Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that people who work full-time should not live in poverty. Even though the minimum wage will rise to $7.25 an hour by 2009, the minimum wage’s real purchasing power will still be below what it was in 1968. President Obama will further raise the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour by 2011…”

Great genius that all sounds fine and dandy but now a “BK Whooper” will have a whooper of a price tag … that .99 cent value menu will be $5.00 do you not think employers will raise prices that will negating any gains by the employee? The people that loose are those already making above $9.50 … gawd you lib’s are clueless on economics.

“Extend Paid Sick Days to All Workers: Half of all private sector workers have no paid sick days and the problem is worse for employees in low-paying jobs, where less than a quarter receive any paid sick days. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will require that employers provide seven paid sick days per year.”

Good luck with that one, socialist. You CAN NOT legislated benefits given by PRIVATE employers. You’d think that a big time lawyer and freshmen Senator would know that.

How? Please do tell.

“Put 1 million Plug-In Hybrid cars — cars that can get up to 150 miles per gallon — on the road by 2015, cars that we will work to make sure are built here in America.”

150 miles to the gallon … are these cars that full size humans can actually fit in? Or are the Hot Wheels? I think they are Hot Wheels and he’s talking scale miles.

And it goes on and on and on and he never says HOW he’s going to do any of these magic tricks or how he is going to PAY AS YOU GO them. I really should take a web shot of these pages as I’m sure they will be dramatically scaled back as reality rears it’s ugly head.

I encouage you to go read them and take a roll of duct tape with you.
