Today’s high temperature in glorious Western Kentucky (who’s unemployment is over 11% thanks to Obama) was 71 degrees … not quite edging out the record high temperature of 100 degrees in 1957 (that’s 52 years ago for the mathematically impaired), but luckily we did set a record low of 54 for July 18, 2009 thus adding weight to the argument that Global Warming is complete BS. We’re expecting a new record low tonight and highs tomorrow in the low 70′s… so if this is global warming, I’ll take it.
However, I’ve been to fairly busy today mowing several acres on a fossil fueled John Deere in hope of warming the planet and burning off brush loaded with lots of green weeds as to roll tons of white smoke over to my loony left liberal neighbors and the wind was on my side. I can’t help but think somehow the great spirit of Ronald Reagan was involved.
More post on Global Warming BS here.
But don’t worry the Obama administration apology tour 2009 continues.
Hillary Clinton apologizes for global warming: ‘We have contributed most significantly to climate change’…
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton opened a three-day visit to India on Saturday by urging India not to repeat American mistakes in contributing to global pollution, and she passionately defended U.S. demands for help in fighting terrorism.
“We acknowledge now with President Obama that we have made mistakes in the United States, and we along with other developed countries have contributed most significantly to the problem that we face with climate change,” she said. “We are hoping a great country like India will not make the same mistakes.”
Now paint this picture against the backdrop that China puts a new coal fired power planet online every week is order to keep energy cost down and abundant to attract businesses… mostly US businesses that can no longer afford to stay here do to the increased taxes.
Flashback 2004
New coal plants bury ‘Kyoto’
China is the dominant player. The country is on track to add 562 coal-fired plants – nearly half the world total of plants expected to come online in the next eight years. India could add 213such plants; the US, 72.
Altogether, those three nations are set to add up to 327,000 megawatts by 2012 – three quarters of the new capacity in the global pipeline and roughly equal to the output of today’s US coal-fired generating fleet.
Do some math because I know you love it… 8 years, 52 weeks per year equals 416… now 562 coal fired plants divided by 416 weeks is 1.35 plants going online every week for 8 years ending 2012. Do you know would many the US is currently building? ZERO and you wonder why our economy sucks and our electric rates are sky high. I pay about 10.6 cents per kilowatt hour, a few miles away they pay 6 cents.
Jump forward to 2009
China Outpaces U.S. in Cleaner Coal-Fired Plants
China’s frenetic construction of coal-fired power plants has raised worries around the world about the effect on climate change. China now uses more coal than the United States, Europe and Japan combined, making it the world’s largest emitter of gases that are warming the planet.
Remember China and India walked out of Obama’s G-8 Global Warming sermon saying they would not sign on as it would kill their economy… much like it is doing here.

Pitiful ain’t it?
One of my liberal friends said she doesn’t want to leave a polluted world for her children…OK, so then you believe in AWG? yes, I do-but the world temp has dropped in the past 10 years. I ran this by her
3% of our atmosphere are greenhouse gases
CO2 comprises about 2% of the 3%
~3.4% of the CO2 is man made
The United States contributes about 22% of the man made CO2
The Cap and Trade Bill addresses about 11% of the 22%-IOW the dems claim they will alter the “effects” of our CO2 emissions by taxing industry to the tune of 100s of billions of dollars to affect…get ready… 8/100,000ths of 1% of the CO2 in the atmosphere.
And the fucking liberals go along with this??? With record cold seasons, worldwide? Snow in Baghdad? I see you’re having a mild summer, here too in Golden CO and actually, it’s fine with me.
Frankly, I believe it’s hopeless with such a large amount of morons in our population. And with millions more being churned out by the teacher’s unions, I just can’t see a non violent turnaround. I don’t know how bad things would have to get to convince enough of these Obamabots that maybe we should get back to personal responsibility again.
What did you libby friend say… my experience has been that they glaze over when confronted with facts and logic.
Even her 12 year old son, who at first said we were causing GW, said, wow that’s a pretty small amount. She switched over to we should stop polluting, “just look at what comes out of tailpipes” and ” look at China”…OK…to which I said, cars today are emitting hardly anything but water vapor, especially compared to cars of the 50s and 60s. And people in China wants what we have, environmentism is a game for wealthy countries. They won’t play it. Sadly then her son chimed in with something like a 2,000 mile trip in a car emits 200 tons(?) of CO2, I said, yeah so? do you want to take a horse, he got up and left. As for her, no response other then to skip around from subject to non sequitur. It’s impossible to debate someone with facts when they respond with emotion.
Thank the teacher’s unions
ps I saw some moron in the Obama administration is saying we should be paying for China’s emissions since after all they’re making all that shit for us-it never ends dude
I would have asked her son where are you getting your numbers, don’t just toss out some Obamabot number and expect me to believe it.
