Remember when billionaire T. Boone Pickens was running doing commercial after commercial 24 hours a day and then he would pop up on every talk show promoting wind farms and wind energy like it was the best thing since sliced bread? Well what T. Boone Pickens wasn’t telling you was that he is heavily invested in wind farms and wind technology and additionally you will notice you never see much out good-old-boy-down-home billionaire T. Boone anymore, wonder why? Well simple really… wind energy cost to much and T. Boone did the math only after investing millions. (How some people become rich and and I remain poor is beyond me.)
T. Boone Pickens scraps huge wind farm project
He’d planned a 4,000-megawatt complex that might cost as much as $10 billion, and Mesa Power, his company, has already ordered 667 wind turbines for it, though they won’t be delivered for several years.
One problem facing the huge project in Pampa, on U.S. Highway 60 northeast of Amarillo, was a lack of heavy transmission lines needed to link any wind generators to the power grid.
So what’s “Mr. Going Green” T. Boone up to now… well natural gas of course which is a derivative of fossil fuels … so much for wind farms and it’s like I’ve always said if wind energy was a smart and viable idea then the market would demand it. Has anyone ever asked what you do when the wind doesn’t blow?
Pickens turning attention to natural gas
T. Boone’s Pickens, whose ambitious Texas wind farm plan ran into distribution problems, is turning to natural gas in his attempt to lessen U.S. dependence on foreign oil.
Hey here’s a nutty idea… let’s drill for our own oil and gas while we’re developing new energies? I’m sure California could use the money. I get so sick of this “dependent on foreign oil” whine and cry from the left when we are setting on vast amounts of oil and gas and yet… oh no we can’t drill for it because it might oh I don’t know make us energy independent or something awful like that.
Oh and for the morons on the left that want to play the 68,000,000 acres card, which is the amount of land the government claims the oil industry has leased and is not using. Tell you what I’ll give you 1o acres of land in the middle of the Sahara desert for you to grow a garden… don’t give me this “It’s in the desert” whine and cry… it’s land grow a garden. Point is just because the oil industry has land, doesn’t mean that land has oil under it and ‘The Queen of the Morons’ Nancy Pelosi has a big blurb about this on her website and she claims it’s fact checked… what ever Pelosi. I also looked around on Pelosi’s website and I didn’t see anywhere where she listed her investments in Pickens wind farms which is in the amounts of around $100,000.00 according to her release form, but that’s all hush-hush we don’t talk about that hypocrisy.
Oh here’s a little trivia on Pelosi that you might not know… if you put you ear up to Pelosi’s head you can hear the ocean, just a little FYI for you.

If this is such a grandiose scheme then why does he need credit?
Why doesn't he "get some skin in the game" and pay for it out of HIS pocket?
Because he wants the GOVERNMENT (i.e the taxpayer) to invest in it and all he wants to do is set back and collect the profits. Kind of like GE and health care (digital databases) and GE and solar energy (solar panels) and looky-there GE and wind energy (wind generators/alternators).
