First I NEVER EVER watch this show, and only watched do to the simple fact that some local guy was on and several people asked me to watch it. So I did.
Ok, I don’t know this guy however he’s from my area here in the fabulous state of Kentucky. He name is Kevin Skinner and he is from Mayfield, KY … now for the folks out there that do not understand him I’ll explain. A chicken catch is a guy that oddly enough catches chicken in a chicken barn. A chicken barn for one stinks and will hold from 50,000 to 80,000 chickens… this really piss PETA off, but without them you wouldn’t have your KFC Extra Crispy or McNuggets. So when he said he would catch 60,000 chicken a night that’s what a chicken catcher does, they catch the chickens and put them in cages then ship them off the the processing plant (i.e Pilgrims Pride, Tyson) where the chickens are magically transformed from nasty feather covered critters to skinned and packaged tasty treats.
Now for the record I DO NOT have his thick accent in fact I’m told I do not have one at all and therefore people can not place where I’m from (blame that on years and tears of travel), but I know a lot of folks around here that do and on occasion I will hear something “country” I’ve said myself. But, I found it rather appalling the jest and fun the judges and crew aimed at him regarding his rather “hokey” mannerisms and country speech… but the boy opened his mouth and sung. So he who laughs last, laughs loudest and I think Kevin is laughing his ass off now. Enjoy the clip.
