Carol M. Swain replies to critics, removes all doubt she’s an idiot.

Carol Swain replies to my nasty-gram … ok it’s really a form letter but here is (note paragraph 2)…

Dear Friends:

I am incredibly flattered that the Wall Street Journal has published an op-ed highlighting my recent Washington Post quote criticizing last week’s Senate resolution apologizing for slavery. As some of you know, this is a topic dear to my heart. My position on this matter has been published in several forums. See “An Apology for Slavery,” The Washington Post, July, 16, 2005, A17; “Does White America Owe Black America An Apology?” USA Today Magazine, January 2004 (Cover Story Article), 30-31″; and, a February 5, 2005 interview with Marvin Olasky of World Magazine (“Saying Sorry”). For reasons contained elsewhere, I am not a supporter of slave reparations, but I certainly see value in an apology properly done.

Despite criticisms, I stand firmly behind my recent Washington Post comments. It is the Republican Party that has alienated minorities in recent decades by a series of high profile racist incidents. By not taking the leadership role in crafting a national apology when it was in power, the Republican Party missed an important opportunity to help heal America. It also missed an opportunity to reclaim its faded legacy as the Party of civil rights and the party of Lincoln. I am astonished at how easy it is for some Republicans to deny their party has a serious race problem. In a few days, I anticipate releasing an advice letter I wrote to President Bush about this matter.

Lastly, Mr. James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal and author of the op-ed below has extended me a generous opportunity to respond to the article pasted below.

Sincerely,
Carol M. Swain

So tell me Carol what “series of high profile racist incidents”? What “incident” would you be referring to? Maybe appointing the first black Secretary of State, or the first black Joint Chief of Staff? Maybe the first Hispanic Attorney General? Maybe electing a Black guy to be the head of the RNC was yet another Republican racist move. Carol you can’t just throw a stink bomb and run, tell me what “series of high profile racist incidents”… name one? Can’t do it can you? See folks this is what the left does they’ll throw a stink bombs and make a baseless claims and no one in the drive-by media calls them on it and in my world you make a claim then run unless you have some facts to back it up.
She went on and said “the Republican Party missed an important opportunity to help heal America” really? What have the Democrats done, what opportunity have they seized upon? For that matter what have the Blacks done? Why is it the Republicans responsibility to heal America? What is the responsibility of the Democrats, the left and and the Blacks? Answer that… it a two way street.
This twit continues with “I am astonished at how easy it is for some Republicans to deny their party has a serious race problem.” Name it genius what the problem… saying something doesn’t make it true. Give me an example, you can’t can you. We don’t have a race problem… I think it’s the Blacks that have a race problem, the party of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Charlie Rangle, Maxine Waters, Cynthia McKenny has a race problem and the sooner you admit it the faster you’ll get on the road to healing. Good Gawd if we got rid of racism what on earth would you whine and bitch about? You want nothing to do with healing, healing would undermine your excuses for failure. Then you’d have nothing left to fall back on other than your own character and abilities. My goodness if we got rid of racism you’d no longer need affirmative action, quotas and favoritism then where would you be?

This women clearly know little to nothing about America history or the American spirit, she has her own brand of politically motivated history based in emotions, racism and very thin on truth, sad really, sad that she’s an educator and it so uneducated and she’s going to release a letter of advice to us white racist Republicans in the near future? I can’t wait to see this.

Get a clue Carol.
