Well the Obama people have assured us, we’re ok with this … (Translation – If we want your opinion, we’ll give it to you.)
“Obama’s inauguration committee says it is mindful of the times and is not worried people will see the four days of festivities as excessive.”
Well Obama people you’re wrong, $170 million dollars for a party is excessive any way you slice the imported smoked salmon and caviar.
I pointed out in Newsflash Nobama #1 that the gala inauguration of Barack Obama was going to cost the American people $150,000,000.00 well that in a mere few days has swollen to $170,000,000.00 and it’s continues to grow. As I’ve said and you know many Americans are cutting back, loosing jobs, loosing homes, going without and the Government is spending like there is no tomorrow and even if tomorrow comes it hasn’t got to be paid back.
This is an absolute smack to the face of the American people … it sends the message that you better make sacrifices as Obama has said the American people need to do, but we’re going to party like it’s 1999. Oh and why you’re taking all that in and getting your mind around the number, try to think back to January 2005 when George Bush’s inauguration cost $40,000,000.00 and the left wing media and democrats in congress came down on him with two feet criticizing him for his lavish extravagances.
Let us think back to the campaign when Sarah Palin was crucified for the RNC spending $150,000.00 for clothes for her family (that were returned). Well Obama is spending $700,000 on for 10 stadium-style screens to broadcast the inauguration ceremony on the National Mall, the swearing-in ceremony alone will cost $1.24 million, there are over 5000 Port-O-Potties and at some point I’ll find a complete list of the spending.
So remember when you’re in the store deciding between Tuna and Hamburger Helper if you can afford such luxuries … rest easy that your newly elected President is living high on the hog and and it all starts on Day 1 and you get to pay for it.
Well there is a bright side … at least with Hamburger Helper you get a helping hand that’s far more than you’ll ever get from Obama.
