Stimulus projects bypass hard-hit states
So how’s the nearly $800,000,000,000.00 in stimulus working out for you? So far in my state (KY) with a jobless rate of 9.8% has received $2.54 per person in stimulus which if you look at some other states, we can’t complain. Alabama that has a jobless rate of 9.0% has received $0.14 per person all while Idaho with the jobless rate of 7.0% received $245.63 and Michigan with the highest unemployment rate in the country at 12.9% has received a whopping $0.21 per person. So who in Idaho is kissing Obama’s butt?
The article says…
In Michigan, for example — where years of economic tumult and a collapsing domestic auto industry have produced the nation’s worst unemployment rate — federal agencies have spent about $2 million on stimulus contracts, or 21 cents per person. In Oregon, where unemployment is almost as high, they have spent $2.12 per capita, far less than the nationwide average of nearly $13.
Meanwhile many states with low unemployment is raking in the stimulus dough and it should be noted that the unemployment in these states was low prior to the stimulus, but you can bet the left wing media will spin it that all this cash has helped those states keep a low unemployment rate… don’t believe them. There sending our money to the states with growth and/or connection and not to the states that need growth.
Meanwhile as covered in the last post…
Liz Oxhorn, a spokeswoman for the White House stimulus effort, said any examination of federal contracts provides “an incomplete picture” of a law that is “providing unprecedented assistance at a record pace to benefit as many Americans as possible.” Obama said Wednesday that the stimulus had created or saved 150,000 jobs in its first 100 days. Overall, however, the economy shed more than 1.2 million jobs in March and April, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
But as usual Obama nor the White House points out that little tidbit of information, but this is typical Obama BS of mathematical spin much akin to claiming huge saving by not spending… whatever. It like saying I saved $45,000.00 today by not buying a new truck, it’s spin. All told over 6,800,000 are on the unemployment rolls over 600,000 new claims every month or about 20,000 every day, 7 days a week, so that’s 6,800,000 people and even if on the very remote chance that Obama created or saved 150,000 people as he claims and that’s next to nothing as it’s just a shade over the 2% of the total unemployed or less than .02% of the total work force. Really nothing to crow about, but Obama is not going to give you those numbers he only wants you to hear the 150,000 number and not the reality of what a small number it really is reflects. This is nothing more than more Obamaganda.
So where is the stimulus money or as I and many other prefer to call it porkulus money? Remember this stimulus bill had to be passed right now, without delay and it was passed by the lap dog congress, but Obama took 4 days to sign it and now that money is just setting there not doing a thing, so those project ready to go are not a go. As a example for nearly 2 years now I have a road to nowhere near me that is setting there unfinished and not being worked on and I’d say it is one of those so-called shovel ready project with no money for shovels and the longer it sets the more it’s going to cost to complete as the work that is complete is destroyed by the weather.
The stimulus package is just like Obama an empty sham and we’ll all pay for it.

So what you're saying is:
The $13 a week "stimulus" that we (and I do mean those of us that work for a living) will have to pay back next April really is a lot of money.
