A SODA TAX?

Yes the government who never runs out of things to tax is now looking at a “Soda Tax”… what the %*&@! Is there not enough taxes already? I have had it with taxes, I’ve had it with paying for dead beats, I have had enough with paying for over spending, bailouts, handouts and useless politicians. If you morons in Washington want to tax something why don’t you tax the use of a damn teleprompter! Why don’t you tax congressional perks? Why don’t you cut spending and I mean real cuts like ending welfare and food stamps if you want to balance the budget.

Soda Tax Weighed to Pay for Health Care

Senate leaders are considering new federal taxes on soda and other sugary drinks to help pay for an overhaul of the nation’s health-care system.

The taxes would pay for only a fraction of the cost to expand health-insurance coverage to all Americans and would face strong opposition from the beverage industry. They also could spark a backlash from consumers who would have to pay several cents more for a soft drink.

Backlash is a understatement it’s not paying a few cents more for a cents for a coke (I’m southern we call them “cokes” regardless of brand.), it’s the principle of the thing. We pay enough taxes, the problem is they spend to much and these idiots think taxing cokes is going to pay for it. You can’t continue to tax and tax and tax and expect the economy to recover it’s insane. Hey Obama listen up your pinhead, the more you tax, the more you raise taxes the tighter people become, the less they spend and the more they retreat from the economy! You say America needs to get back to spending, well genius you all doing everything possible to prevent it. You’re clueless.

If you want to fix health care it’s simple, really it is! Tort reform, control the cost of malpractice insurance by controlling the settlements amounts. Cut out the unnecessary testing that doctors do to patients to avoid lawsuits, cut out the inflated cost of goods and services. There is no reason a damn Q-tip should cost $5.00 in a hospital. Have a board of advisor’s that set fixed settlement amounts in Doctor error based on the wage earning projection of the plaintiff if they win. Reduce the cost of insurance if your healthy, just like a safe drive discount! Jeez I don’t have health care and I’ll tell you why. Insurance would cost me over $6000 a year … $6000.00 that’s a lot of money! I haven’t spent $6000 in medical care in the last 25 years combined. So that would have been $150,000.00 over the last 25 years in insurance for less than $6000 in care. Not a good return on my investment, that’s the price of a house! But I always have the VA which is getting to be a joke anymore in case of a real emergency. So my plan would be call REAL COST HEALTH CARE you should be able to go to the doctor for a routine visit with or without insurance and be able to afford it. I have an idea I’m working on and frankly I think it’s better than anything the idiots in Washington have put forth.

The question congress need to ask is that if we as a nation by 16% of our GDP on health care then were does that money go? Who gets that money? Someone is getting rich, who is it? I have no problem with Doctors spending 8 years in college and then making a good living, no problem at all, but some of the cost is way out of line. If you go to the doctor check your bill and look at your bill and then try to figure out why it is so high. But noooooo… we can raise the tax on cokes and that will solve it.

I swear this administration is full of power hungry morons and I’m sick of them.

If they get away with passing a “soda tax” (i.e. sugar tax) mark my words they’ll tax salt next.
