Specter hints Kemp died of GOP agenda
“If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine.”
If you read the article you’ll read that Specter is still under the delusion that he represented what the GOP stood for and that everybody else in the GOP was wrong. This is typical of a selfish and ill informed individual out of touch with reality.
But oddly enough the polls show that Specter is ahead of Ridge after party switch.
Poll Shows Party Switch Boosts Specter
Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.), a newly-minted Democrat, is in a virtual tie with former Gov. Tom Ridge (R) in a hypothetical test of the Keystone State’s 2010 Senate contest. In a Quinnipiac University poll released Monday, Specter led Ridge 46 percent to 43 percent among voters surveyed.
Further proof that people in this country pay more attention to the letter behind the name than the values in the heart. Pretty sad if you ask me.
