Obama claims American are arrogant in there opinion of Europe, this coming from a man that put the air in arrogant. This coming from a man that give DVD’s and iPod as gifts to heads of state. Yes America is so arrogant that we allow our President to give gift from America that are made in China. Gawd this man is ignorant.
Barack Obama: America has been ‘arrogant and dismissive’ towards Europe
Later, President Obama told an audience in Strasbourg that the US and Europe had allowed the alliance to drift in recent years.
He said the US had been “arrogant” and “dismissive” towards its allies, while there was “insidious” anti-Americanism in Europe. He said these attitudes had to change.
First let me say this to Obama… you may be the President for now, but you do not speak for me. Perhaps he is projecting his own arrogance on the masses as I’m unaware of American arrogance towards Europe, in fact don’t believe many Americans give Europe much thought at all in their day to day life, better yet snub them. Now I have met a lot of Europeans that I would call arrogant which might provoke the typical American response of “If it wasn’t for us you’d all be speaking German right now.” I find this has been a American knee jerk reply to arrogant Europeans. Sure Europe has been around 100′s of year longer than America and yet they still can’t get along, so whatever!
Obama needs to speak for himself if he can’t do anything other than express his deep dislike for the country he was foolishly elected to lead, we have to put up with him for 3 years and 9 1/2 month more than hopefully we’ll have something left to rebuild from the ashes of what was the Constitution, I swear this man is an embarrassment to our nation and I can’t believe so many lemmings were lead by him, a fool and their freedom is soon parted.

I'm an angry white woman. To sit and watch this liberal, hate American first, poorest excuse for an American President that has ever seen call us arrogant, etc. My blood is boiling. When I think of that American graveyard in France with the bodies of thousand of our men and women, who died to safe Europe from Hiller, I just want to puke. And the sad part is it hardly made a ripple on the news, except for a few on Fox, God, we are in so much trouble. Another thing I want to say to the President of Notre Dame. You should be ashame of yourself, Bud. What kind of Catholic would want Obama, who voted for infanticide to speak at a Catholic graduation. Has the world gone crazy?
According to the dictionary arrogant means feeling or showing self-importance and contempt or disregard for others. That is what Americans are in my opinion. We are not the greatest nation in the world. Look at our education system for an example; many inner city schools are bad, but we want to claim that we are the most humble nation in the world. Why did we had go to war like this, which out strategizing things first– To much pride for nothing

Go to the cemetery at Normandy or Arlington or Iwo Jima, look at who flips the bill for the majority of the world, see who the world cames to when there is trouble and then tell me we haven't earned the right to be arrogant! But I know few Americans that are.

I don't really know what Obama attentions were, but I do agree that American people are arrogant also. I don't know the whole story. Many people don't like Obama for stupid reasons. I'm not saying people have to like him, but we have to understant that he is our Pressdent .And we should support him.
Jerry, I'll respect your views, it's America and you are entitled to them. I don't like Obama for a host of reason, I think he has a bone to pick with those that have achieved something, even though he himself has achieved the high office in the land, I think he has a dislike for middle America and the classic America values they hold. Just as southerns have pride in being southern, Americans has pride in being American but it doesn't make them arrogant.
Obama rewards failure and punishes success is this is not what America great, he is weakening our nation, our culture and our dollar and I don't care for it. But that's my opinion and I'm entitled to that… witch is about the only entitlement I believe in.
Thank you! I have one question; do you think every American has a fair chance to have the opportunities’ to have a successful life? Many people that you are referring to as failures, never had the opportunities to get a good education, get god paying jobs, and etc. Let every American get a shot of the American dream if they want it. Can you agree with me?
Besides, the only way the USA can get better is if the middle class get better. How can the rich make money if the middle class don't have jobs and extra money to spend for their needs. For the rich to develop gains, It has to be a level of supply and demands, and the middle class doesn't have the demands to buy the supplies. Unfair right! All in all, the failures (middle class and poor) needs help to get back on their feet, so the successful people (rich) will have their success still.
Obama is looking for the interest of us all American people.
Yes I think every American has the same opportunity IF they are willing to make sacrifices, That is the problem with many Americans they don't know how to make sacrifices they think they are entitled to food, shelter, higher education, health care etc … well I have news for them they are not entitled to it, they are entitled to earn it. I know plenty of people including myself they they did without to have something, nothing was given to me, I paid my way from the day I set out on my own, no handouts, no welfare, no food stamps, no money, nothing because I didn't want it.
You want the middle class and the poor to get on their feet, then cut taxes, both corporate and capital gains no one ever worked for a poor person. Give companies reason to relocate in the US, give investors reasons to invest, give the tax breaks needed to create jobs, the more people that work the more the government collects in taxes, Obama doesn't seem to understand that the more you tax the "haves" the more "have not's" you end up with. One factory that employs 500 people will provide 3 times as many supply and support jobs to a community, the current government and many past governments (including republicans) don't seem to understand that high taxes drive businesses out of the country, look around your own community how many jobs have they lost, we can not survive on a service based economy (that's 3rd world economics) you must have a manufacturing based economy that's what built us up after WWII. Anyway I rambling but that's it.
Some people will always be poor and they'll blame everyone but themselves, some people will rise from the ashes, it's up to the individual if they succeed or fail the opportunity is there for everyone.
I agree with you some what, but my thing is, why do we have a messed up inner city school system. Kids, like I, didn’t learned anything in school to prepare them for college and the real world. Currently, I'm working hard, trying to get a college education to get a job. But, it's all a struggle for me because like I said, the school I went to didn't prepared me enough to face the challenges I'm face with now; it’s politic I tell you. Who I have to blame? No one. You are right but just know some people out their just need the helping hand to get some where in life. I don't agree with the weal fare system, food stamp, etc. The government should handle those things differently, because people do sometime take advantage of these benefits. I remember I was at the grocery store, a woman pulled out a food stamp card to pay for her groceries. When I got out, I noticed that same woman, was driving a new Lexus. Now come on, it’s clear, that woman doesn’t need food stamp.
Remember, despise some of the people who are lazy and don’t want to work, and people that are in these weal fare system, yet they are people who really needs a helping hand. Not everyone in fortunate enough to make it on their own. For those who are willing to work hard and do this on their own, we as a people have to remember we all shall receive our blessing. In the bible it says “the blessing is in the giving, not the receiving.” Let’s help those who need the help, if we call ourselves a humble nation, and not want to be called arrogant (conceit), lets give a helping hand to those who needs a head start.
Opportunity is what you make it, nothing in life is free it all comes with a price. Sacrifice has it's rewards, but few are willing to pay the price. There is a another saying I like "god helps those that help themselves."

In Cannes, France a restaurant owner people refused to serve me and my friends because we were Americans, telling us "We don't serve American Pigdog, go away"
I thought it was really uncalled for but not totally shocking. I had been treated similarly by some of the Spanish citizens in Spain. They made it quite clear that they didn't like us, but they liked our money. This was 10-15 years ago when the $ was much stronger than it is today so I can just imagine their attitude towards us now. So if anything I think the Europeans are thankless and arrogant and I couldn't possibly care less what their opinion of the U.S. is. It wouldn't surprise me if they dug up the graveyard in Normandy because they needed the real estate.
I think Obama is a retard for stumping to them.

Don’t you mean “Americans”(plural)? You then repeat the same error in the first sentence. Your arguments might hold more weight if you would at least proofread your grammar and spelling especially in the title of an article. Sorry, but with a title like that you come across as an ignorant angry white guy who is easy to dismiss.
