Obama keeps pushing his cap and trade, what I have to ask is it only America Warming? Taxing the American people into poverty is going to do nothing to curb global warming when the other nearly 200 countries in the planet are doing little to nothing. So what the deal? Seems to me to just be a cash cow for the government.
First, I don’t believe in global warming as it’s based on junk science and nothing has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. I’ve been alive long enough to have seen that on Monday, Jun. 24, 1974 there was the big global cooling scare in Time Magazine, here’s is a passage just a few short 35 years ago and 35 year in the history of mankind is a nano-second.
“Telltale signs are everywhere —from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest.Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F. Although that figure is at best an estimate, it is supported by other convincing data… they found that the area of the ice and snow cover had suddenly increased by 12% in 1971 and the increase has persisted ever since.”
So 35 years ago the earth was cooling, now the earth is warming, but wait there is more … what the hell happen to acid rain? Remember that big ass scare back in the late 1970′s and early 1980′s? Remember it was so bad and the chicken littles ran around claiming the forest would all be killed, and the planet and all living creatures on it will die. Yes by the year 2000 North America was going to be covered by a huge ice sheet and the ocean levels were going to drop and it was going to be just awful and a bit nippy. Remember that?
Well hold the phone after the acid rain scare there was the hole in the ozone and we had to ban all can of aerosols, change coolants from R-12, R-19 to R-134 and made it to were you could no longer buy it off the shelve and recharge your AC unit yourself because you had to have a license and recovery equipment. Remember that?
See it’s always something, something that is going to end life as we know it if we don’t tax and act now, it’s all garbage.
So now Obama want to put forth a “Cap and Trade” this is a hidden tax that will cost you a bundle. But like all good liberal it’s for the good of the planet and somehow by the American people paying more for energy, changing out our light bulbs, setting cafe standards on automobiles, installing smart meters and a huge variety of other initiatives that put an additional burden and cost on the American consumer, that somehow this is going to get China and India to produce less carbon? Please! This is nothing more than a another smoke and mirrors campaign to get more money out of the American people to fund more of Obama’s socialistic programs. Cap and Trade taxes CO2 and Carbon Dioxide emissions, Carbon Dioxide is what you exhale … so will you be taxed for breathing? This is a stupid plan in a stupid bill for a stupid budget, but from what I understand this morning the Cap and Trade is being scrapped from this budget, but never fear Obama will try and sneak it in somewhere, bet on it and watch out.

We don't have a choice as to who our power company is or how they generate power
I'm already being screwed by my power company, the people that live 8 miles down the road who get their power from someone else pay 1/3 less than I do. I know, I used to live there, incidentally they use hydroelectric power. If I had a choice I would get my power from them, but I don't.
Excell Energy uses coal plants to generate power so I should pay double on an already inflated price because I happen to live in an area where Excell Energy has the monopoly? Sounds totally fair, right?
