Robert Reich the little ompa lumpa has been in candy land again, I’m not sure which Wonka Wonder Kool-Aid he’s on now, but it must be good. Reich in a recent article said that the decline (read nosedive) of Wall Street is not Obama’s fault, oh no it’s Bush’s fault … just like the extinction of the dinosaurs, thats Bush’s fault too.

The argument that Obama is somehow responsible for the collapse of Wall Street is absurd. First, every major policy that led to this collapse occurred under George W.’s watch (or, more accurately, his failure to watch). The housing and financial bubbles were created under Bush and exploded under Bush. The stock market began to collapse under Bush.

At what point does Obama take ownership of his actions? Will he and his adoring fan like Reich still be blaming Bush in 4 year? Yeah, probably. I’ve explained that the market works on forecast, 6 to 8 months out and not past events. The market and its decline are Obama’s and only Obama’s. George Bush has nothing to do with, why in hell would the maket care about what happen last year? They respond, raise and fall on what they think is going to happen next year and they’re tanking while Obama eats Waygu beef.
Oh hear for you entertainment a couple of lines from Reich ill informed article and his fantasy blog.

As a conservative I am disappointed to see you resort to name-calling. Referring to Reich as an Oompa Lumpa and Hobbit is really a lowly thing to do. People would take you a bit more seriously if you would stick to comments with substance. I’ve always enjoyed your site, but your credibility becommes suspect when you hurl insults (and unoriginal ones at that). You can do better.
It was calculated, Reich on many occasions has named called in a rather unoriginal fashion … granted I should rise above that kind of thing, but I don’t like Reich not even as a human being and I haven’t for years. He’s been one of leading name caller on the left, I’m just giving back.
But you’re right it’s wasn’t that original … I should have said “He’s slightly taller than his IQ.”

I’m not a fan of Mr. Reich either; however, I will have to disagree that his IQ is low. The man was a Rhodes Scholar, which says something. Bill Clinton said Reich was the smartest of all the scholars that went to Oxford with him. I’d say the man is pretty intelligent; it is his judgment that is lacking. Keep up the good work, thoroughly enjoy your site!

I’m sure you know being educated and being intelligent are not always the same thing. I believe Reich is educated and while he may be a Rhodes Scholar you have to wonder how long would he survive in the real world?
