Prison problem… I’ve got the fix.

California’s criminal alien population rises

This isn’t cheap. Nationwide, the Government Accountability Office reports, it costs well over $1.1 billion a year for states to imprison criminal aliens — those who committed a crime after entering the United States illegally. California, moreover, is more expensive than other states. GAO auditors estimated California spends $34,000 to incarcerate a criminal alien for one year; in Texas, it’s only $12,000.

Someone please give this problem to me and the autonomy to solve it, because I can solve the entire countries prison problem…
Want to know how? I know you probably think I’m going to shoot them all and while that is a appealing idea I’m not, but I would close every prison… yes close them all and I would open up one on St Lawrence Island – Oh an island – well how grand  – we all want to live on a island, right? Doubt it, not this one…

It would be great – no guards needed, no fences needed and we could air drop building supplies and figure out how to stay warm in the cold, cold Alaskan winter. They could live off if seal fat or Polar Bear meat or eat each other – problem solved and it would cost $34,000.00 per prisoner… it wouldn’t cost $15,000.00 per prisoner – I’m guessing we could do it for less than a $100 each.

There will be not weight sets, no video games, no cable TV, no phone, no electricity … not a single luxury.  It’s prison and it suppose to a vacation from work. I bet you’d cut down on repeat offenders.

I actually had dozens and dozens of Bush-Chimp images to choose from… so is it racist?

Have you heard about the debt? I’m sure you have… have you heard about the debt ceiling?  Have you heard that if we don’t raise the debt ceiling again the planet will explode? OK it’s won’t explode but to listen to the left it will. Continuing to raise the debt ceiling is do nothing but giving heroin to an addict.

Here is the deal the government has allocated billions and billions (if not trillions) of dollars to pay for this or that and that money hasn’t been used, it’s just setting there in a imaginary cookie jar waiting for someone to spend it. Think of it like this…

Say you have a $2000.00 in monthly expenses and you only have $1800.00 a month coming in – not good huh? Something needs to go or if you are like the government you put it on a credit card until you max out the card – then you either need to get your spending under control or call the credit card company and beg them to raise the limit on the card.

The liberals want to raise the credit limit again – that is in most responsible peoples eyes, irresponsible. The conservative want to cut spending and that’s unpopular – because some tough choices have to be made, some luxuries have to go..

BUT you have several $1000 you’ve set aside, funds you’ve allocated, funds you’ve earmarked for vacations, a new car, home repairs or some emergency. Well don’t you think you can take some of that money and pull it for use on your ‘deficit shortfall’ until you cut your expenses to match your income.

Or what we people out here in the real world call living within your freaking means.

Even Obama said you can’t spend more than you take in – which is his why of saying raise taxes, but you need to think of the government like a job.

You can’t just go to your employer and demand a raise if you are spending more than you are making – more than likely you’ll have to cut your spending to match your income. it’s life it’s how it works and it’s high time we teach these politicians that little reality.

It’s all about the Benjamen’s …

Minnesota/DOT to test driver’s ‘mileage tax’

“We are researching alternative financing methods today that could be used 10 or 20 years from now when the number of fuel efficient and hybrid cars increase and no longer produce enough revenue from a gas tax to build and repair roads.”

It’s always about the money, they don’t care about gas mileage or the environment it’s about the Benjamen’s – remember Ray LaHood wanted to do this and it was shot down…

Oh speaking of it being about the Benjamen’s … Kickball can KILL! Death by Wiffleball!

Dangerous games – kickball, tag: state

The [New York] Department of Health may label games such as tag, Wiffleball, kickball and horseshoes as posing a “significant risk of injury” at day camps and may require indoor day camps that offer those activities to be regulated by state and local health officials.

Oooh note that word “regulate”… regulate is government talk for taxes, fees, fines and other way to get money out of you…

But it’s not certain whether the law would require World Cup to have a licensed nurse on staff, said Hebert, who filled out a 23-page application and paid a $200 application fee for a permit from the Westchester County Department of Health.

It’s not about safety – liberals don’t care about kids they’ve said so… it’s all about the money and if you want to play Wiffleball it will cost you $200, but you risk death doing it! Just watch…

I listened to a little of Obama’s speech yesterday – another speech in front of a bunch of college children as he is still afraid to face a room full of taxpaying adults, but is that really surprising… no not really. People like Obama need adoring crowds and he will keep picking venues that feed his ego – so don’t expect him to have a town hall in a town full of middle class pale skinned tax payers.

So what did Dopey say?

Obama said that the government shouldn’t spend more than it takes in… finely something I agree with, but I know Obama is talking about raising tax to balance budget shortfalls and that I don’t agree with. See this is a childish liberal thought because in the real world when you spending out paces your income… you cut spending – you assume you’re going to get more money…

But El Rushbo had a excellent idea on Obama’s sound bite speech yesterday…

The “Obama Says We Can’t Spend More Than We Take In” Budget Bill

Now, Obama’s out there speaking to these skulls full of mush today, and he said, “We can’t spend more than we take in.”  Now, there’s a possible second meaning to this.  We’re sitting here and we are incredulous that he be such a goofball.  He’s the architect of spending more than we take in.  So it could well be — remember, now, my theorem is that what Obama’s doing here is simply providing the national media some sound bites.  This audience is just a bunch of props.  He’s providing the national media with a bunch of sound bites to use uncritically in his campaign.  Now, if you’re Obama, and this is a likelihood, if you’re Obama and you say, “We can’t keep spending more than we take in,” it could be a prelude to, “So I’m going to raise taxes.  We have to raise taxes.”

That was my take when I heard him… I heard Obama say – “I’m not going to spend less I’m going to tax more.”

So here’s my idea, and knowing full well it will never happen, but I still nevertheless propose it as one who cares deeply and loves amazingly this country.  Republicans propose a budget to Obama tomorrow.  We call it the “we can’t spend more than we take in budget.”  We cut spending to revenue.  We totally head him off at the pass on tax increases.  We present a budget that cuts spending to revenue and we call it the “Obama Says We Can’t Spend More Than We Take In” bill.  And we give him credit for it.  We give him the credit for inspiring the legislation.  We say that we saw him make the speech to the students at the junior college in Virginia and a light went off, a great idea.  We wish we had thought of it in such simple terms.  You can’t spend more than you take in.  So we propose the “Obama Says We Can’t Spend More Than We Take In” bill.  Pass it.  Republicans in the House propose it and pass it.  Call his leftist bluff, head him off at the pass on tax increases.  He’s using poll-tested language in lieu of actually running the executive branch.  So wrap him up in his own words.  Everything he’s doing is poll tested.  When’s the last time you heard Obama say, “We can’t continue to spend more than we take in.”  That’s focus group research.  Call his bluff.

The GOP needs to get tough with this little man – he is weak and thin skinned and will be easy to defeat if they go after him, which the GOP should do… relentlessly go after him and unmind his ego. If someone works it right Obama’s ego and arrogance will be his undoing.

Taxes are about right if you don’t pay any…

After you get past the Progressive Liberal Democrat title of the article…

Super rich see federal taxes drop dramatically

You will find this little tidbit of information…

There are so many breaks that 45 percent of U.S. households will pay no federal income tax for 2010, according to estimates by the Tax Policy Center, a Washington think tank.

Now the why they write the article it is to sound like 45% of rich people pay nothing in taxes, but it we check a Gallup poll we find this…

Americans Still Split About Whether Their Taxes Are Too High

Half of Americans believe the amount they pay in federal income taxes is too high, while 43% consider it about right and 4% too low. The 50% now calling their taxes “too high” is within the 46% to 53% range found each year since 2003. It is significantly lower than the 65% recorded in 2001, prior to implementation of former President George W. Bush’s first round of federal tax cuts.

So 45% of American households pay nothing in Federal income taxes and 43% feel their taxes are just about right… guess that leaves 2% that feel guilty about mooching off of those that pay taxes.

It’s not to figure out where the problem is at…

Movie of the Week #65 – North and South

North and South

Book I, II and III

It’s been 150 years since the start of the Civil War for the history impaired – so a movie for that occasion.

1842, a special summer day at the huge plantation of Mont Royal. A South Carolinian young man, Orry Maine, leaves his rich home for West Point Academy. On his way northwards, in very strange circumstances, he meets two people who will play a decisive role in his life: beautiful lady Madeleine Fabray whom Orry helps and with whom he falls in love and a “Yankee” George Hazard by whom Orry is helped and who is also on his way to West Point Academy. From that time, Orry and George are best friends and help each other at every moment, they fight for the USA in the Mexican War at Churubusco where George saves Orry’s life. A few years later, the friendship of Orry and George spread to the friendship of their families, the Maines from South Carolina and the Hazards from Pennsylvania. Yet, the love of Orry’s life, Madeleine gets married to Justin LaMotte, a rich cruel owner of nearby plantation in South Carolina. Their love cannot be fulfilled and they only meet in secret. Years pass by and the relations between north and south are not that calm as in the past. Northern abolitionists demand the end of slavery while the south demands secession and separation from the “damn Yankees.” Although George and Orry badly want peace between north and south, there is no escape from the inescapable fate. April, the 12th, 1861 and the attack on the northern fortress Fort Sumter done by the southerners means the beginning of war. These who fought together at Churubusco will have to fight against each other. Friends will have to become enemies. Will war be stronger than peace of mind? May the storm and noise of canons, rifles and bullets destroy honor, respect and true friendship?
