Well, it’s not their fault…

Obama said that children of illegals shouldn’t be punished for being in America illegally – it’s not fair to hold those children liable for the action of their parents according to the liberals and the DREAM Act must be pasted.

BUT!

But it’s OK to tax the inheritance of children born to wealthy parents – parent that paid a lifetime of taxes as compared to no taxes by the illegal parents above – and somehow that is fair to take 45-55% from them? It’s not their fault they were born to rich parents why punish them with an Estate Tax on the heels of deceased benefactor?

Just sayin…

If you want less of something – tax it

I had this rather (too) long post thought out about how a number of things tie in together and one of them being controlling your life through taxation — so I’ll just hit about that one a bit and keep it short and simple.

The government wants fewer people smoking – so they raise the taxes on tobacco products. Smoking bad for you right? Tax it until you can’t afford or will not pay to do it, after all the increased tax is not just paid by the rich.

The government wants fewer people drinking so they raise the taxes on alcohol – ignoring the fact that politicians are some of the biggest boozers in the country and just as with the tobacco tax the hardest hit are the poor, the very people they claim to help.

The government has purposed a sugar tax because soda’s and candies are bad for you – and they need to tax it to steer you into not using it.

Some towns have put forth the idea of a fat tax for greasy foods – a trans-tax.

They gave us the gas guzzler tax because they wanted few gas guzzlers.

In fact I can’t think of anything that isn’t taxed or hasn’t been purposed to be tax and the root effect of taxation is if you want less of something tax it. Control human behavior through taxation.

So what does that say about the government and what I mean is primarily Democrats when they want to tax the so-called rich making over $250K, when they want to tax your estate, when they what to tax your private property? What does that say about the Democrat? They want less of it.

It tells me they don’t want success for you, they don’t want you to succeed in life, they don’t want you to make a lot of money. No, the democrats want you to remain or become poor, downtrodden and dependent on them – because you are easier to control that way and that is why the Democrats work so hard to tax wealth and private property – they don’t want you to have any.

It’s all so simple – if you want less of something…. tax it and the Democrat love to tax success.

Flashback: Snow a thing of the past… virtual cold the future.

Liberals as anyone knows are subject to hyperbole and letting their mouth’s write checks their ass can’t cash. It wasn’t that long ago that many in the global warming movement where writing about how snow and winter was just a thing of the past and the kids growing up today would only read about it in books, to experience snow one would need mountains of powdered potatoes… yeah, yeah, whatever…

Roll back the hands of time to jolly old England on March 20, 2000…

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

Britain’s winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives.

Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain’s culture, as warmer winters – which scientists are attributing to global climate change – produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries.

OH NO! Snow will be a thing of history books…

Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community. Average temperatures in Britain were nearly 0.6°C higher in the Nineties than in 1960-90, and it is estimated that they will increase by 0.2C every decade over the coming century. Eight of the 10 hottest years on record occurred in the Nineties.

OH MY GOD!! Hottest years on record but when did record keeping begin, they don’t say. Now fast forward 10 years to this winter which officially starts tomorrow…

Coldest December since records began as temperatures plummet to minus 10C bringing travel chaos across Britain

Swathes of Britain skidded to a halt today as the big freeze returned – grounding flights, closing rail links and leaving traffic at a standstill.

And tonight the nation was braced for another 10in of snow and yet more sub-zero temperatures – with no let-up in the bitterly cold weather for at least a month, forecasters have warned.

The Arctic conditions are set to last through the Christmas and New Year bank holidays and beyond and as temperatures plummeted to -10c (14f) the Met Office said this December was ‘almost certain’ to become the coldest since records began in 1910.

Wait record keeping began in 1910? Weird how they never mention record keeping is only begin in 1910 when they are talk about global warming… I mean after all the Earth is only five billion years old, surely 90 years of weather history as it was in the 2000 article was enough to set a pattern.

Maybe the next time some hyperbole global warming alarmist starts talking about how our children will never know the wonders of snow – we should wait a little bit longer than 90 years out of the last few billion before we go claiming the sky is failing.

But don’t you worry those wacky global warming nuts always leave a back door to say ‘see I told you so’ …

David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes – or eventually “feel” virtual cold.

Heavy snow will return occasionally, says Dr Viner, but when it does we will be unprepared. “We’re really going to get caught out. Snow will probably cause chaos in 20 years time,” he said.

So now Dr. Viner can say it caused chaos in 10 years and as a result things are twice as bad as we thought… weird how here all this time I thought the nature of weather was to change.

Hey Michelle, Little fat kids start at home…

I don’t know who made this bitches chain long enough that she can get out of her kitchen, but I know one thing… she can get out of mine. I don’t need this lard ass telling me or my family what to eat… how long before the government tries to mandate that you eat a head of broccoli a week just like they are trying to mandate you buy healthcare. Now she is trying to tie her health lifestyle ideas in the national security…

Michelle Obama has new warning on obesity

First lady Michelle Obama plans to warn in remarks Monday that the nation is seeing “a groundswell of support” for curbing childhood obesity, and she is unveiling new ammunition from current and retired military leaders.

“Military leaders … tell us that when more than one in four young people are unqualified for military service because of their weight,” the first lady says in the prepared remarks, “childhood obesity isn’t just a public health threat, it’s not just an economic threat, it’s a national security threat as well.”

Because of there weight huh? Were they overweight or underweight? Doesn’t say just leaves you to believe one over the other. My question is are one in four young people joining the military? No! This bitch needs to make up her mind if kids aren’t starving because of living in a food desert with no grocery store within an OH MY GOD entire mile. Then we are to the point that schools need to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner making them too fat to fit through the door – which is it Michelle? Too fat or starving? I do not need nor do I want Michelle Obama in my kitchen and just what makes this uppity ass bitch the be all and end all of what to eat? She might be the First Lady but she damn sure isn’t the First Mom. We give out billions in food stamps to feed children just to send them to school and feed them again and somehow she wonders why they are fat. Get out of my life bitch…

Most Americans oppose Michelle Obama’s Healthy Hunger-free Kids Act

A significant percentage Americans oppose the Healthy Hunger-free Kids Act pushed by First Lady Michelle Obama and signed into law by President Barack Obama signed on Monday.

Among other things, the $4.6 billion law allows the USDA to set nutritional standards for foods made and sold in schools; increases the number of children who qualify for school meal programs, and “sets basic standards for school wellness policies including goals for nutrition promotion and education and physical activity.”

According to a new Rasmussen poll, however, only 23 percent of those surveyed think the federal government should have a direct role in setting the nutritional standards for public schools.

Repeal, repeal, repeal – we’ll just repeal everything this moron and his trollish wife have crammed down the throats of the American people – my kid eats healthy and I don’t need Michelle “Lard Ass” Obama telling my kid what to eat. Government can’t create jobs and they damn sure can’t raise children.

A majority of whites, 34 percent, think parents and local governments should have the ultimate say in kids’ eating habits. Conversely, a majority 31 percent of blacks believe the federal government was capable of the decision.

Overall, however, 34 percent of respondents thought that parents should have the ultimate say in their child’s nutritional diet. Seventeen percent believed state and local governments, respectfully, know best when setting such standards.

Here is an idea I’ve been preaching for a long time – regulate the types of food people can buy on food stamps after all don’t little fat kids start getting fat at home? And most of the little fat kids I know are welfare kids! This is the problem with liberals every time try to FIX one problem they create 10 more – did you watch John Sossel’s special on government programs gone wrong Friday night? Same stuff I’ve been preaching about for years and that only tapped the surface… The government just needs to get out of the trying to make jobs business and trying to raise children business – they really need to get they own house in order before they go worrying about mine.

If we are going to tell kids what they have to to serve children because there is federal money involved then we need to tell people what they can and can’t buy on food stamps – that seems fair and come to think of it… I don’t recall ever seeing a skinny person on food stamps, what is that?

Stosssels special come on again Sunday night at 9 eastern time … you might want to watch it.

Movie of the Week #48 – Babes in Toyland

Filed under: Movie of the Week — Tags: — AWG @ 9:35 am

Babes in Toyland

In keeping with the Christmas season we roll back the hands of time to 1936 and pick “Babes in Toyland” for the movie of the week. Not exactly a Christmas movie but you don’t have to worry about playing it around kids.

Ollie Dee and Stanley Dum try to borrow money from their employer, the toymaker, to pay off the mortgage on Mother Peep’s shoe and keep it and Little Bo Peep from the clutches of the evil Barnaby. When that fails, they trick Barnaby into marrying Stanley Dum instead of Bo Peep. Enraged, Barnaby unleashes the bogeymen from their caverns to destroy Toyland.

Watch the entire movie below… (unless you’re on an iPhone/iPad which is Flash unfriendly)

Cheez-It marketing…

I don’t want to call this a scam or wrong – I’ll say it prays on the folks that don’t read labels or pay attention closely. I was in Big Lot’s yesterday – one of my favorite store – and they had at least a dozen kinds and sizes of Cheez-It’s – it was Cheez-It heaven. So I… being a cheap ass I look at not only the price but also the amount in the box and I noticed they have two box the same size – thew same size box not same size content – one regular and one 40% reduced fat and both were a $1.50 but the reduce fat box that was the EXACT same size package as the regular one was a 1.5 ounces less. The regular good Cheez-It’s were 9 oz and the nasty reduced fat was 7.5 ounces. Is the fat that heavy or are they reducing the amount in the box  and the amount size of the ‘per serving’ to call it reduced fat – when the only thing they reduced is the quantity you receive?

Anyway…

It wasn’t just the small size box they pulled this stunt on the larger size too – one was 11.5 oz and the other was 13.7 oz and again the price was the same and the size of the packaging was the same.

Just an observation but it is something else I see quite a bit is smaller quantities in the same size box – oh sure the manufacturer will tell you it’s economics to keep the number of box types to a minimum…. yeah I’m sure – ever open a box of Cheez-It’s? It is two-third’s air but some settlement does occur in shipping and the more air you leave in the box the more settling you get.

And what’s up with spaghetti sauce it use to come in 32 oz jar… ever look at the size of one lately? 22-24 oz. I could tell you tons and tons of marketing tricks and just how the retailers and manufactures treat you just like politicians do – they treat you like a fool and if you don’t pay attention to what they are doing you will be one.

WTF NEWS #4 – Cleaver’s $48 Billion Earmark (Reparations)

Total Idiot

This actual goes why past WTF and gets heavy into YGTBFSM!

In a last hour effort to beat as much candy out of the tax paying pinata another moron Democrat seems to think money grows on trees has added a $48,000,000,000 ($48B) earmark for their intercity steal from the taxpayer and give to the welfare moochers pipe-dream of reparation. And it’s a $48 Billion earmark for his buddies that runs a day care out of their home.

Emanuel Cleaver from District 5 in Missouri can take all the credit…

Redistribution on steroids

Rep. Cleaver has proposed a $48 billion earmark

When absurdity gives way to hilarity, you must be talking about politics.

In the midst of a colossal global concern for the economic stability of our great nation, Emanuel Cleaver, Missouri’s 5th Congressional District representative, has one small earmark on his wish list that deserves some attention.

Cleaver has listed a new earmark — one of several — and he promises to “fight for every one.” But this is a whopping $48 billion package that must go down as the grandaddy of all earmarks.

Proposed by a gentleman named Lamar Mickens, president of the not-for-profit Quality Day Campus, the $48 billion earmark would funnel money into the inner cities to give money to the poor and thereby produce a much larger consumer class to buy the goods and services produced in this country.

And hear is Cleaver reason…

Cleaver’s office says this of the proposal:

“The Epicenter is a proposed estimated $48 billion (Phase One) mass scale urban reclamation project for combating, reducing, reversing and/or eliminating poverty within under served communities by utilizing mass scale economic redevelopment to bring about stability and self reliance.

Self-reliance? We create self reliance by enabling people to remain moochers? And I for one am getting sick of the phraseology of under-served – what community is not under-served in some form of capacity? You never see lines for “Obama money” around here, mainly because they aren’t handing any out and mostly because the people around here have to much damn pride to rely on the government for a handout – not to mention we’re mostly white southerns.

But it gets better…

BREAKING: Rep. Emanuel Cleaver Earmarks $48 BILLION to Pal Who Runs Child Day Care Center From Home With His Wife

On Wednesday it was reported that far left Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) proposed a $48 billion earmark to redistribute taxpayer money to the inner city. It was the Mother of All Earmarks…
Liberal Rep. Emanuel Cleaver proposed a whopping $48 BILLION EARMARK that would redistribute wealth to the inner cities and gift money to the poor and thereby produce a much larger consumer class to buy the goods and services produced in this country.

Now get this…
The $48 billion would go to Cleaver’s friend, a gentleman named Lamar Mickens, president of the not-for-profit Quality Day Campus who runs the organization out of his Kansas City home.
The Southeast Missourian reported:

Currently Mickens operates this massive proposal out of his home but with Cleaver’s help, this earmark could put him on the road to success.

Cleaver provides a link to a Mickens “manifesto” where a lengthy agenda is outlined — but again with no specifics other than the rich should provide money to the poor so that the poor will have more money to spend.

There’s more…
Lamar Mickens is the President and the Treasurer of Quality Day Campus, Inc.
His wife Cynthia is the Vice President of Quality Day Campus, Inc.

It says so on their handwritten Annual Report!

And get this… It’s classified as a child day care center that he runs out of his home!

This is UNBELIEVABLE!
Rep. Cleaver is asking for $48 billion to donate to his friend’s shady day care center that is run out of a Kansas City home?
Wouldn’t you expect this to be a punishable offense?
Rep. Cleaver has some explaining to do.

Things like this just go to sure up my belief that if you do not pay taxes, then you can’t vote which is how these handout congress people keep getting elected.

Dear NRA, Don’t Call Me and LIE

I’m all about the 2nd Amendment – I’m all about the Constitution and I generally support the NRA but here lately they are just pissing me off…

A little history for the past few weeks, maybe months I’ve been getting calls from the NRA along with a dozen other marketing/survey firms and here I thought all that crap ended with the election. Well it didn’t and I would receive calls from the NRA as early as 8 a.m. in the morning to as late as after 9 p.m. at night – I admire persistence’s but if I don’t answer your call after three or four attempts likely I’m ignoring you – if I don’t answer after twenty or fifty attempts you can bet you ass I’m ignoring you and after about sixty to hundred attempts I might answer and I will not be happy when I do…

This morning at about 8 a.m. … might have been 8:30 the NRA called – I’m a night owl and I’m NOT a morning person -  I went to bed about 3 a.m. however, I was up fairly early when they called. The general rule is do not to be speak to me for at least the first 2 hours and if you must speak to me when I first get up, ensure it is something that does NOT require an answer – early morning answers are about 99% filter free and until I have had about 3 or 4 cups of coffee the filter is – off. I’m not talking about a cussing filter, I’m talk a diplomatic filter – I will answer you, I just will not factor in your feeling nor care.

So anyway the NRA called, we spoke and they played some prerecorded message from Wayne LaPierre, NRA’s president, about how the UN is trying to push a global gun ban and we need to stop it right now by getting out our checkbooks/credit cards to ensure that keeping and bearing arms, our inalienable 2nd Amendment right, as American as apple pie and the 4th of July (and jingoism and xenophobia), isn’t trampled by some foreign folks and we’re all for stopping the commies at the door. So according to the NRA I, me alone can save America for the low-low price of not $175.00, not $150.00 but today because I’m a patriotic American… I can save it for only $125.00 a year and for my $125.00 I get a sticker! Yeah!

However…. however… the NRA conveniently left out a little part about how the US can not enter into treaties without a 2/3 vote of support in the Senate, nor how any treaty or law can circumvent or undermine Constitution Rights (the Supreme Court has ruled on this in Reid v. Covert and District of Columbia v. Heller hello ObamaCare) nor how the UN (as much as I dislike them) isn’t even trying to ban guns at all and I’m sure many of the socialist at the UN would love to tell American just what and how to do something. But the reality is the UN is a joke and the next conservative congress should stop paying dues and cut all ties to them for the socialist joke they are and in an effort to reduce our debt charge them a trillion dollars a month rent in NYC.

Anyway, I digress…

So what the NRA who you will remember supported the DISCLOSE ACT (that suppressed Free Speech) because they got an exemption is not not telling you is that they are fear-mongering and lying and in my opinion completely losing credibility – what little credibility they’ve had left. So when the fund rising member of the NRA returned to the phone after I had listened to the fear mongering BS of Wayne LaPierre  I gave them an unfiltered ear full of just what I thought – granted at this point I have had 2 cups of coffee so the filter was slightly on, but all in all they got the point I was pissed at them for lying – I tend to be somewhat nice to the people on the other end of the phone – because as some guy once said “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34)

BTW this NRA fear-mongering on this issues of an UN gun ban has been going on since 2009 from what I can tell and as I’ve said I support the 2nd Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms – put I don’t support ginning up fear to fund your coffers – that’s just wrong.

While I’m at it – there is a lot of stories out there about this, most of them pushing the line of truth that the UN is going to ban your guns and take away your bullets – you believe what you want, but I advice you to research it and based on facts and not hyperbole. As noted Reid v. Covert ruled by the Supreme Court stated that not even if ratified by the US Senate can the US Constitution be circumvented PERIOD.

The ruling in this case basically said that no agreement with a foreign nation can confer power on Congress, or any other branch of Government, which is free from the restraints of the Constitution.

The Court felt that Article VI, clause 2 was written the way it was written not to make Treaties supreme, but instead to simple keep treaties written prior to ratification of the Constitution in force.

The Court also distinguished this case from Missouri v. Holland by saying that in this case, the Treaty directly violated a Constitutional protection. In Missouri v. Holland, it was more of an indirect violation.

The UN’s desire to control guns come from the 300,000 people killed worldwide each year by firearms mostly in third world nations armed conflicts – however there is no plan to ban automobiles that kill on average 1,200,000 people each year worldwide nor is there a plan to ban the largest historical killer of people yearly… governments. So since I was in a foul mood this morning (You’ll learn more about ‘why is that’ at years end) I was more incline to lecturing facts than listening to bullshit – so if the NRA calls you ask them these questions and ask them as if you have no idea the answer ( I love to do that)…

1.) Does UN law supersede the US Constitution for Americans?
A: NO!

2.) Can Obama circumvent the congress and make international treaties?
A:NO!

3.) If Obama signs a treaty is it binding?
A: NO! Must be ratified by 2/3 of the Senate.

4.) If the Senate ratified a treaty would it be binding or enforceable?
A: NO! See Reid v. Covert that ruled no branch of government can make an agreement with a foreign power that is free of the restraints of the Constitution.

5.) Is the NRA make lying to raise money?
A: YES.

Generally I support the NRA and generally they are on the right side of the issues, but I will not be lied to just to gain my support – I get enough of that crap from politicians. So for me the NRA will get as much money as I give the RNC – $0.00 until they wake up and fly right.

Actually I don’t care for the song all that much… it’s not a bad song but without the video I would not have noticed it at all. The video is old school clever with a Rube Goldberg machine feel to it and for that I applaud it… no CGI, no FX – just straight forward clever contraption cool… think of the time and labor that went into making it work.

YouTube Preview Image

It even made the list of the top veiwed YouTube video’s of 2010 – not the best one, just the most watched, because no YouTube video list is complete without Chad Vader.

Requiring ObamaCare: UNCONSTITUTIONAL

Judge Calls Health Law Unconstitutional

RICHMOND, Va.—A federal judge ruled Monday that a central plank of the health law violates the Constitution, dealing the biggest setback yet to the Obama administration’s signature legislative accomplishment.

In a 42-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson said the law’s requirement that most Americans carry insurance or pay a penalty “exceeds the constitutional boundaries of congressional power.” …

… The judge also said that his ruling only strikes down the requirement to carry insurance, known as the individual mandate, and the provisions of the law that are directly dependent on it.

While the judge says this only effects the mandate to buy insurance from a private carrier – the Liberals forget to put a severability clause in the bill so as I understand it – it will kill the entire bill if any part of the bill is struck down.
