Pelosi: $top investigation of our most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history

Pelosi asks for donations to fend off potential GOP investigations

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is asking supporters for contributions to help prevent the “subpoenas and investigations” that would result from a GOP majority.

In a fundraising letter for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Pelosi says if Republicans take back the House, they’ll initiate “endless investigations against President Obama” and “bring back the days of Ken Starr and the politics of personal destruction.”

“Remember a Republican-controlled Congress that devoted more time to subpoenas and investigations than to solving our country’s problems?” Pelosi asks. “There is far too much at stake for our country now to allow it to happen again.”

Democrats Take Majority in House; Pelosi Poised to Become Speaker

“The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, D.C., and the Democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history,” Pelosi said.

So my question to Speaker Pelosi is a simple one – ‘What are you worried about, Nancy?’ If in fact you have the “most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history” then you should welcome investigation to back up your promise to ‘restore integrity and honesty in Washington, D.C.’ and discredit the GOP as witch-hunters, right?

Or perhaps Pelosi has something to worry about… I think the latter.

Movie of the Week #25 – Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House

Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House

Anybody that has read this site for some time knows I work on house and deal with a lot of rental property – this week there has been a rash of big problems that been rather annoying, so what better than a movie about building a house and some of it’s problems, Now I’m not building a house for myself or anyone else but I have a few major remodeling projects going on right now and it’s been one damn problem after another – luckily I’m pretty much a panic free, stress free, drama free kind of guy. I’m just not one to freak out so I may be the Angry White Guy it doesn’t mean I’m the animated Angry White Guy … but I do have my moments.

So the movie … if you haven’t seen it, get it and watch it! It’s a great classic comedy about a guy in ‘Manhattan, American middle class Jim Blandings lives with his wife Muriel and two teenage daughters in a four bedroom and one bathroom only leased apartment. Jim works in an advertising agency raising US$ 15,000.00 a year and feels uncomfortable in his apartment due to the lack of space. When he sees an advertisement of a huge house for sale in the country of Connecticut for an affordable price, he drives with his wife and the real estate agent and decides to buy the old house without any technical advice. A family friend lawyer Bill Cole sends an acquaintance engineer to inspect the house, and the man tells that he should put down the house and build another one. Jim checks the information with other engineers and all of them condemn the place and sooner he finds that he bought a “money pit”instead of a dream house.’

Do I know about money pits? Is the Obama administration a bunch of racist, classist progressive liberals? (Guess I know about money pits, huh?)
