Movie of the Week #28 – Night Shift

Night Shift

I guess you saw the news story earlier this week about the “Ambulance Company Accused of Prostitute Party” will if you’ve ever seen this movie it’s about the same and they both take place in NY – what are the odds.

A nebbish of a morgue attendant gets shunted back to the night shift where he is shackled with an obnoxious neophyte partner who dreams of the “one great idea” for success. His life takes a bizarre turn when a prostitute neighbor complains about the loss of her pimp. His partner, upon hearing the situation, suggests that they fill that opening themselves using the morgue at night as their brothel. Against his better judgment, he gets talked into the idea, only to find that it’s more than his boss that has objections to this bit of entrepreneurship.

Classic 1980′s comedy.

Rangel Round Up

Tax Cheat Rangel at his private resort

House panel hits Rangel with 13 ethics charges

House investigators accused veteran New York Rep. Charles Rangel of 13 violations of congressional ethics standards on Thursday, throwing a cloud over his four-decade political career and raising worries for fellow Democrats about the fall elections.

The allegations — which include failure to report rental income from vacation property in the Dominican Republic and to report more than $600,000 in assets on his congressional financial disclosure statements — came as lawyers for Rangel and the House ethics committee worked on a plea deal.

One was struck, people familiar with the talks said, but Republicans indicated it was too late.

Damn straight it’s too late – this fat lazy corrupt scumbag living off the taxpayers succulent boob need to go to jail for abuse of office, lying, thieving, tax evasion and any damn thing else I can think of  – but as always under Queen Pelosi he’ll end up getting a little pat on the wrist with the Botox bitch standing over him saying – “Now Charlie don’t do that again … at least don’t get caught. (wink-wink)”

Rangle like so many in congress that have been there to long on BOTH side of the aisle who are of the opinion they are above the law and somehow those silly ethics rules, laws and taxes only applies to the “little people” like you and me.

Rangel and so many more like him need to go – I’m thinking drawing and quartering.

Rangel hearing ready to roll; Update: Rangel cuts a deal?; Update: Rangel denies deal made

2011 Chevy Volt aka the Chevy Joke

I know everyone is bitching about the Arizona Law – I’m to not worried about the Supreme court will overturn the court 5-4 so while this is a serious matter everyone else is covering it. So I’m going to talk about the glorious new Chevy Volt.

Did you see this piece of crap? The car that Dopey was pushing and talking about like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. The NEW all electric Chevy Volt – yeehah and it retails for only $41,000.00 or a little over  a $1000.00 a miles drive distances.

Chevy Volt: Are Electric Cars Too Expensive?

When General Motors Corp. said its new Chevrolet Volt electric car would cost $41,000 and up, many consumers and industry insiders winced. Some of them consider anything over $40,000 serious money for a car, and they may not think the Volt is worth the premium over other economy models.

But here is the deal and I’ll admit I thieved part of this idea from a comment on Hot Air – a good comment they just had some MPG data slightly off.

This Chevy Volt is $41,000.00 in addition to gas guzzling truck of which I’m going to get another one (perhaps a big 7.3 Diesel with a lift bucket on it – I’m not kidding) and we have a little Honda Civic Hybrid for road trips that’s gets on average 40+ MPG (yes Looney Liberals even conservative can drive Hybrids – we just don’t get smug about it.) So the Hybrid was bought when gas was cheap between Katrina and the spike for (I think) for around $16,000.00 – OK those are the numbers.

Got it… $16K car verses $41K car

Chevy Volt $41,000.00
Honda Civic Hybrid – $16,000.00

The difference – $25,000.00 and as of today gas was $2.53/gal here – so now let’s divide $25K by $2.53 that come to 9881.42 gallons of gas – so calculate that the Honda Civic Hybrid that gets 40+ MPG so on nearly 10,000 gallons of gas you could drive 395,256.91 miles (or all the way to the moon and 2/3 of the way back). Now take those 395,256.91 miles and divide that by the 20,000 a year we put on the car and it would only take 19.76 year to break even if you bought a Volt – well were the hell do I sign up to buy one.

BUT… BUT I didn’t even factor in the amount of money you have to spend to charge the car and exactly where would you charge the car while at work and just who is going to let you plug your car in to charge every day with out paying them and the very fact that electricity come from where? Fossil fuel, that’s where and did I mention that this snazzy new $41,000.00  Chevy Volt has a range of up to 40 miles?  40 MILES!! And if you read the fine print of the Volt it says …

2011 VOLT

Volt is an electric car that uses gas to create its own electricity. Plug it in, let it charge overnight, and it’s ready to run on a pure electric charge for up to 40 miles(3) — gas and emissions free. After that, Volt keeps going, even if you can’t plug it in. Volt uses a range-extending gas generator that produces enough energy to power it for hundreds of miles on a single tank of gas.

Whoa it still uses gas in addition to it’s fossil fuels powered electricity? What the hell – how GREEN is that? And exactly what’s that little disclaimer (3) after the “40 miles” … hmmm?

3
Assumes fully charged battery. Actual range depends on driving habits, weather conditions, terrain and the operation of electrical features in the vehicle. Vehicle features and performance capabilities subject to change without notice.

So what they are saying is provide you have a perfectly flat and straight road on a sunny day and you have a full charge you can get 40 miles out of it, otherwise forget it.

So after looking at the specs, the numbers, the facts and the cost I’d say the Chevy Volt would be better called the Chevy Joke. Get’s yours today.

The folks that bbuy the Volt are the same smug selfish elitist that buy the IPad

A new low for The One

Well, well, well, President Dumbass has hit a new collective low that even (not so) Real Clear Politics can’t fudge. Obama is now a -3.3 in the hole with just 45.7% of the collective polling approving of the Socialist and Thief – these number reflect not just the lost support of moderate and independent but his actions are also beginning to erode his base as Obama moves further and further to the left more and more turn the other way.

This is not good for the Democrats facing a mid term election, but it’s great for the conservative right.

Year of the Tea Party Voter – Republicans are winning over voters who are disgruntled with both parties.

This year, the hands-down winner for the key voting bloc might be called “Tea Party Supporter.” Public Policy Polling, a Democratic-leaning firm, reports a major reason Republicans are poised to make major gains this year is that they “are cleaning up with a voting bloc that accounts for 26% of the country and could end up being the most important group of people at the polls this fall: voters who hate both congressional Democrats and congressional Republicans.”

PRUDEN: The salesman doesn’t know the territory (Why Obama’s pitch isn’t working.)

Barack Obama is taking his teleprompter on the road again, this time with Detroit as the first stop on a magical mystery tour to prove that he is, too, still the messiah. He’s trying to persuade everybody that he really isn’t who he really is.

He’s beset by polling numbers that continue to fall. Everything he does makes it worse. He’s fleeing Washington’s chattering class, and he’ll run into the crying class on the road. The president has yet to get his mind around the fact that most Americans have decided that he betrayed their trust, that their only hope for change begins in November.

Is there NO escape…

… from the liberal agenda, whining and propaganda? Answer: NO!

So I’ve been working my aging but yet still firm ass off this week – I have a few more irons in the fire than I can keep up with and by God I needed a day off! So Sunday I got up and watered the flowers , the garden and a few other things due to the lack of rain (Typical July and August in Western KY), knocked down a few high spots in the yard mostly over the septic field and that was about it – I opted to avoid the news for the most part only watching FoxNews Sunday and the rest of the day I was going to watch the Discovery channel or some other mindless TV. The temperature outside was over a 100 (again typical) and I had been in it most of the week it was time for a cool day inside.

So I kick back in my chair and turn on a special on the Galapagos Islands and some new discoveries along with a few news species found, but what I found annoying was the underlying political agenda and the liberal “man is evil” guilt undertone to the show. Any new critter they found that was NOT harmful to the native environment must have traveled there by wing, wind, water or magic and any critter that was harmful to the native population just HAD to be introduced by man i.e. Fire Ants.

Now it’s true man COULD have introduced the Fire Ant and it’s also true that a Ant Queen on the wing could have been carried to the island after all newly hatched queens have wings and the wind can carry a insect 100′s and sometimes 1000′s of miles. In the Southern Hemisphere the wind generally blows east to west and if you have a map you’ll see that the Galapagos is the the west of South America – point being they didn’t even consider natural migration for any animal they deemed harmful, now I’ll give them the rat, the goat and the pig as it is documented the goat and the pig was released by 18th Century sailors for food, the rat likely came from one of the many ships as they had in so many lands before. So aside from the known feral animals I have to ask the simple question why are any introduced or new species the direct result of man involvement?

I’m not saying man has not altered the shape or conditions on the Galapagos Islands but how in the hell did all of the animals that were there long before the first man set food upon the island get there? Did they rise from the muck or were they somehow transported there by wind, debris raft or whatever 1000′s of year before man arrived to evolve into their own species? And who are these self-loathing-man-is-evil-liberal-morons to decide what new animals that arrived on the island is mans fault and who is to say they were not there all a long and they are just now “discovering” them? How many time to you see stories about newly discoveries species somewhere? Answer – all the damn time – so if a animal can go millions of year and not be seen by man then who are these idiot scientist to say that anything has gone extincted that they no longer see? Just because you don’t see it anymore unless it’s something huge like a Mammoth (which they blame man for it’s extinction) then you can’t really say with 100% certainty it’s gone, can you?

Just Google or Bing “thought extinct” and see some of the 5.7 million results of things thought extinct but weren’t and some are pretty good size like a peccary. Oh and by the way if you read about any thought to be, but now are not extinct animals you generally find across the board that the reason they were thought to have gone extinct is because of can you guess it…. drum roll please… evil man. Yep evil man has cause most everything to go extinct and I’m sure that out there some where is a lib trying to figure out how to blame man for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Case in point – and it’s not limited to animals which by the way have the ability to move – the highly educated elite class scientist said that the Franciscan manzanita had been extincted for 60 years – is the Franciscan manzanita on some remote tropical island? … No! Is it in some remote mountain top only accessible a couple a weeks out of the year? … No!  Maybe it’s in the northern tundra of Alaska? … Nope. Why then the Franciscan manzanita must be a wily creature capable of avoiding contact with humans? NOPE! It’s a stinking plant and last I check plant do not migrate nor avoid capture. So where was this thought to be extinct rare exotic? The Franciscan manzanita was hiding in the densely populated San Fransisco Valley around millions and millions of people and yet it was thought extincted … and it was only found when it was discovered to be in the path of a new freeway – then surly the Franciscan manzanita has to be small, it must be a tiny plant easily over looked by the average Joe – nope it’s 20 feet wide and 8 inches tall and yet around all those people it remained unseen. Oh and by the way the bankrupt California spend $175,000.00 to move it out of the path of the new road and they took cutting off it it to start a lot of new plant, frankly I would have told the environmentalist wacko that we’ll save the plant but they need to pay for it moving it, put your money where your month is enviro-loons or STFU. (I’m guessing that building of the road require a botanist to blaze the trail likely at great cost to the taxpayer.)

Anyway back to the original point about human guilt intertwined into nature shows – all I wanted to do was watch something non-political, non-bitching, non-agenda nature show and I ended up getting lectured about how intrusive and evil man is to the environment! Has man left his mark upon the face of the plant? Sure we have; we have cognitive thought, self awareness and opposable thumbs thus we build civilizations. However, man is not alone in the transformation of the earth – you have earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, locust, termites, ants, elephants and damn near every creature to ever walk, crawl, swim, fly or squirm in some way left their mark, sometimes wiping out entire eco-systems – the deforestation by elephants, not man led the the great plains of Africa, destruction of entire islands by volcanoes, and the devastation caused by viruses and bacteria down through the ages is incalculable, then you have fire which can kill millions upon millions of creepy crawlies and other animals, but without that fire many plants would not be able to reproduce as they relay on the heat to open their seedpods.

Nature is a vast and wonderful thing and sometimes I like to watch shows about it, but damn don’t lecture me about the evils of man unless you are willing to balance it with what all man has done to save the environment or some creature often at a ridiculous cost.

And for you liberal jackasses out there reading this going “See, See! Conservatives hate the environment!” You are wrong!” Liberals always have to have a villain in there world they are a victim and anything that happens to the environment is not there fault it’s those other people – in politics it the conservative people, in business it’s the people of corporation, in energy it’s oil used by people, in construction it the people that log trees – the liberals can’t see the forest for the trees and while they stand there in their sandals and tie-dyes sniffing the daisies (or glue) and their own farts the country around them is falling apart due to their endless whining and overblown sense of self importance.

So in the end I watched Abbott and Costello movies on TMC.

Damn liberals – they could screw up a wet dream.

“Tax Cuts for the Rich” rebranded “Middle Class Tax Cuts”

Democrats to Propose Extending Middle-Class Tax Cuts

Senate Democrats will soon advance a plan to make permanent President George W. Bush’s 2001 tax cuts for middle-class Americans earning less than $200,000, but let the tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans expire, two Senate party aides said Tuesday. They will also propose to reinstate a 45% estate tax on individuals for the next two years.

Oh hell no – Obama and every damn Democrat have been calling the Bush Tax Cuts… “tax cuts for the rich” since the day Bush signed them  they never-ever mentioned tax cuts for people making less then $200,000 in fact they’ve painted them ONLY for the rich so not only does the truth come out they have now figured out when push comes to shove that raising taxes ACTUALLY hunts the economy – WOW who would have thunk it?

But as always the Democrats are laying a trap for the GOP…

Democrats are betting that Republicans will once again take up a legislative battle on behalf of the wealthy. “Republicans are going to have a real choice ahead of them,” says a Democratic aide. “Are you for extending these tax cuts for middle-class families or are you against them because you want to protect tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% of Americans?”

First of all two-thirds of the so-called wealthiest American are small business filing as a sole proprietorship’s on their personal 1040 – they are not wealthy, they are not rich and after all the overhead and taxes they are not even middle-class. I know a lot of small business people that make over $250K per year but that is in gross sales, now deduct about half of that for goods and services, now deduct contract labor, insurance, fees, permits, licenses, utilities, maintaining equipment, building cost, taxes and taxes and taxes etc etc etc and a lot of these guys are lucky to make $25K-$30K take home a year but they are being taxed at the highest “rich guy” rate and being labeled as evil by this administration.

90%…. 90% of all jobs are created by small business and this moron in the White House is doing every damn thing he can to kill small business. Raising taxes in this economy along with all the changes in the tax laws next year is going to be devastating to business.

As I’ve said a hundred times we do not need to raise taxes on the few – we need to tax the 47% of American that are currently not paying any taxes at all, they need to have some skin in the game. The people that have money i.e. the so-called rich are the very people the invest in business, expend business and hire people. No one ever got a job from a poor person and if Obama has his why we’ll all be poor. Currently we have a consumer based economy and we need to move away from that and get back to becoming a production based economy. I don’t need to remind you that when Reagan cut taxes after second worst President ever Jimmy Carter the economy took off and receipts to the government sky rocketed – now the worst President ever Barack Obama wants to raise taxes in a sinking economy – the man is an absolute idiot if not purposely killing our economy.

Some Democrats side with Republicans, distance themselves from Obama on extending Bush tax cuts

Movie of the Week #27 – The Grapes of Wrath

The Grapes of Wrath

Yes, I know that the Grapes of Wrath is a progressive liberal film…

…one of those bleeding heart progressive liberal poor and downtrodden, capitalism is BAD films – Henry Fonda much like his daughter is a serious progresses nut ball – weird how he and her both made lots and lots of money but never shared the wealth with those tired and huddled masses – hmmm. Anyway, I chose this film for the coming “grapes of wrath” against the entitlement handout society that we conservatives will deliver in November.

This is the book by John Steinbeck and a movie by John Ford that help fuel the handout mentality with government camps of the New Raw Deal. The movie is not so much about the real villain – the dust bowl drought (I guess caused by Global Warming in the 1930′s) but about the evil banks and businessman exploiting workers and repossession their land that gave raise to the Labor Unions that have killed the modern American economy and industrial base. (In fairness there were no laws protecting workers or worker safety in 1930′s and Unions served a purpose then – now they on;y operate as business shakedown machines, which is why business is leaving America.)

Anyway put aside the progressive liberal agenda of the Grapes of Wrath it is a decent movie about the Joad’s – a bunch of whiner sad sack liberals that are endlessly victimized by the evil banks, the evil land owners, the evil bosses and the evil police – and what gave rise to the Unions and government programs – because you know and I know than in the liberal dystopia world they are only victims and nothing good happens to anyone! Even Rose of Sharon Joad (in the book) who had a stillborn child had to breastfeed a grown man to ill from starvation and unable to eat or get medical help – things were tough all over, but I think it’s symbolic of the need of liberals to continuously fed upon the supple lactating breast of the taxpayer that has resulted in the entitlement society that can be traced to the books, films and propaganda of the 1930′s. Perhaps Rose of Sharon is the taxpayer, the still born is personal responsibility and the starving man is the mooching masses to lazy, to stupid to provide for themselves. The only problem is the taxpayer tit is running dry and will be returned in spades by the grapes of wrath from the Americans who is sick and tired of carrying the dead weight, the mooches and slackers the original “Grapes of Wrath” promoted.

I don’t want to start a rant – I haven’t the time nor the energy right now, but if you watch it make note of the underlying propaganda of the film of who the victims are and who the villains are.

To many people are missing the other stories in this Sherrod mess.

Was Shirley Sherrod fired to quickly? Looks that way, did I post that she should be, sure did. Is she without sin? NO! She accused Fox News and Glenn Beck of getting her fired – fact is NEITHER Fox News nor Glenn Beck ran the edited video before she resigned, in fact Beck only ran the unedited video saying she should have her job back the following day, so Shirley Sherrod is a liar and has thus far gone unchallenged and she refuses to appear on Fox opting for friendly left-wing networks.

(It’s worth noting that Sherrod told the all black NAACP meeting to get a government job because you can’t be fired – talk about irony.)

The bigger story that has been lost in this mess is the NAACP’s hypocritical reaction – they owned the original video but came out against her at first not checking their own facts by watching their own video – acting only on hearsay – much like they have done with the Tea Party. No facts, just hearsay and unsupported rumor. But the approving reaction of discrimination against a White farmer by the NAACP is the real story here coming on the tail of their unfounded resolution against the Tea Party for racism. That part of the story is getting lost in the mix… they accuse other of racism while they exhibit it.

The White House Propaganda Minister Robert Gibbs said…

Gibbs: Sherrod is owed an apology

“Decisions were made based on an incomplete set of facts,” Gibbs said. “Members of this administration, members of the media, members of different political factions … have all made determinations and judgments without a full set of facts.”

I’m willing to bet this isn’t the first one and I think the White House “acted stupidly” – it seems to me that Obama and his administration makes a lot of comments and decisions based on a incomplete set of facts – they also make a lot of grand claims based on incomplete set of facts… case in point that tout some imaginary number of jobs saved or created – well what is the number of job lost or destroyed by this administrations policies? What’s that number 5 million? 10 million? They claim healthcare is not a tax then argue in court the right of the government to levy taxes in healthcares defense, they make endless claims of some grandiose gesture while leaving out the true cost to the American tax payer, They claim on cut increases on 95% of the American people forget on 53% pay taxes and they’ve raised taxes on 100% of them. Their knee-jerk decision making process is evidence of their inability to govern effectively – but with every knee-jerk decision they make, fingers point in all directions accept the one it needs to – themselves.

Beltway Bob went on…

Gibbs said that “we live in a culture (in which) things whip around, people want fast responses, (and) we want to give fast responses.”

“One of the great lessons you take away from this is to ask all the questions first,” he added.

Would that be anything like the fast response in the Gulf? Or would it be closer to the first response to the troop request in Afghanistan? Perhaps the fast response to GOP request to go line by line over the healthcare bill – which he never did. From what I’ve seen Obama “fast responses” have resulted in record deficits, fail stimulus, government take overs and failed after failed policies. Perhaps they should slow down and get the all facts before making their fast responses, but even then as in the Gulf and Afghanistan they get it wrong. Pathetic.

With all the example that can be cited of this White house making quick uninformed decision based on hearsay and rumor – one has to wonder just how many poor decisions are being made based on hearsay and rumor that we DON’T know about? I’m guessing it’s like cockroaches for every one you see they’re are a 1000 you don’t see.

What we have hear (is a failure to communicate) is children running with scissors in the White House that do not seem to comprehend that passing the blame is not a option at the top – even the smallest successful business person knows that – if you are in charge the blame stops with you. What the White House is trying to do is convince you that with all the resources, all the power, all the intelligence, all the technology, all the access to information and a staff of 1000′s that is at the finger tip of the highest office in the land – they are making decisions based on grainy homemade videos on internet.

Don’t you feel a little safer now?

(I could go on but I have to go work to support the slackers.)

Obama Press Love Fest

… the Mainstream media is in the liberal tank and henceforth known as PHONY JOURNALIST.

Journolist… Yes but the Reporters at Pravda weren’t such Insufferable Assholes

No steadfast journalism rule is unbendable when it comes to justifying and protecting the racket that is modern journalism, specifically, political journalism in the United States today. The ends justify the means for the Democrat Media Complex. They lie when they claim to be objective. They lie when they claim to be unbiased, because these so called “truth seekers” are guilty of engaging in open political warfare. And when the whistle is blown, they simply double down. “Journolist” — like Media Matters, but more insidious, if that’s possible — is an attempt to put the genie back in the bottle, technology and “the masses” uncovered the conspiracy:

Documents show media plotting to kill stories about Rev. Jeremiah Wright (THIS IS A MUST READ)

Chris Hayes of The Nation…

“Our country disappears people. It tortures people. It has the blood of as many as one million Iraqi civilians — men, women, children, the infirmed — on its hands. You’ll forgive me if I just can’t quite dredge up the requisite amount of outrage over Barack Obama’s pastor,” Hayes wrote.

The there is Spencer Ackerman…

“Part of me doesn’t like this shit either,” agreed Spencer Ackerman, then of the Washington Independent. “But what I like less is being governed by racists and warmongers and criminals.”

Ackerman went on:

I do not endorse a Popular Front, nor do I think you need to. It’s not necessary to jump to Wright-qua-Wright’s defense. What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger’s [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically.

And I think this threads the needle. If the right forces us all to either defend Wright or tear him down, no matter what we choose, we lose the game they’ve put upon us. Instead, take one of them — Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists. Ask: why do they have such a deep-seated problem with a black politician who unites the country? What lurks behind those problems? This makes *them* sputter with rage, which in turn leads to overreaction and self-destruction.

Oh yeah – when you have no argument to defend a proven racist like Jeremiah Wright, play the race card on the right – it’s typical of the left that they can’t defend their position so they try divert the argument into calling the conservative a racist solely on the grounds the right doesn’t like Obama’s policies. It’s a laughable tactic but to me conservatives spend too much time taking the bait and proclaiming they are not, instead of deflecting the false charges and realize that the loony liberal is out of reason, has no facts and resorting to the irrational tactic of name calling. It’s all they have left.

Anywho…

Kevin Drum, then of Washington Monthly, also disagreed with Ackerman’s strategy. “I think it’s worth keeping in mind that Obama is trying (or says he’s trying) to run a campaign that avoids precisely the kind of thing Spencer is talking about, and turning this into a gutter brawl would probably hurt the Obama brand pretty strongly. After all, why vote for him if it turns out he’s not going change the way politics works?”

But it was Ackerman who had the last word. “Kevin, I’m not saying OBAMA should do this. I’m saying WE should do this.”

Yea Ackerman that’s the media job – campaigning for a candidate under the banner of reporting – pathetic.

Liberal journalists suggest government shut down Fox News

But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio, that isn’t what you’d do at all.

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

… and they call us the haters? I think they need to have a no heart to heart in the mirror. I hear plenty of libs wishing some conservatives dead – but I have yet to hear creditable claim of a conservative doing the same.

In the summer of 2009, agitated citizens from across the country flocked to town hall meetings to berate lawmakers who had declared support for President Obama’s health care bill. For most people, the protests seemed like an exercise in participatory democracy, rowdy as some of them became.

On Journolist, the question was whether the protestors were garden-variety fascists or actual Nazis.

“You know, at the risk of violating Godwin’s law, is anyone starting to see parallels here between the teabaggers and their tactics and the rise of the Brownshirts?” asked Bloomberg’s Ryan Donmoyer. “Esp. Now that it’s getting violent? Reminds me of the Beer Hall fracases of the 1920s.”

What violence? The only violence I’ve seen has came from groups like the liberal SEIU and looney left agitators – anyone remember the G20 in Philly or Canada? It damn sure what conservatives protesting for more social justice global handouts. Not to forget they so-called phony journalist using derogatory terms to describe tax paying citizens using their constitution right to disagree. What douche bags.

Richard Yeselson, a researcher for an organized labor group who also writes for liberal magazines, agreed. “They want a deficit driven militarist/heterosexist/herrenvolk state,” Yeselson wrote. “This is core of the Bush/Cheney base transmorgrified into an even more explicitly racialized/anti-cosmopolitan constituency. Why? Um, because the president is a black guy named Barack Hussein Obama. But it’s all the same old nuts in the same old bins with some new labels: the gun nuts, the anti tax nuts, the religious nuts, the homophobes, the anti-feminists, the anti-abortion lunatics, the racist/confederate crackpots, the anti-immigration whackos (who feel Bush betrayed them) the pathological government haters (which subsumes some of the othercategories, like the gun nuts and the anti-tax nuts).”

“I’m not saying these guys are capital F-fascists,” added blogger Lindsay Beyerstein, “but they don’t want limited government. Their desired end looks more like a corporate state than a rugged individualist paradise. The rank and file wants a state that will reach into the intimate of citizens when it comes to sex, reproductive freedom, censorship, and rampant incarceration in the name of law and order.”

Boy talk about pigeon holing a entire class of people into covenant little categories – whereas with the sole term alone of “anti-cosmopolitan” this writer is saying anyone outside the city limits of the metropolitan areas are backwoods morons fearmongers, but I’m willing to bet Yeselson as spend very little time outside his mom basement, better yet rural America.

When the writer Victor Davis Hanson wrote an article about immigration for National Review, for example, blogger Ed Kilgore didn’t even bother to grapple with Hanson’s arguments. Instead Kilgore dismissed Hanson’s piece out of hand as “the kind of Old White Guy cultural reaction that is at the heart of the Tea Party Movement. It’s very close in spirit to the classic 1970s racist tome, The Camp of the Saints, where White Guys struggle to make up their minds whether to go out and murder brown people or just give up.”

Again the cry of “racist” is all they have and it doesn’t stick – they can’t argue that the country is not going broke, that the stimulus failed, that unemployment is still sky high. that the vast majority of people do not want ObamaCare, that they do not want Cap and Tax, and that Obama is a failing, lying President not because he is half black but because he is all liar, inept and in over his head.

“I am genuinely scared” of Fox, wrote Guardian columnist Daniel Davies, because it “shows you that a genuinely shameless and unethical media organisation *cannot* be controlled by any form of peer pressure or self-regulation, and nor can it be successfully cold-shouldered or ostracised. In order to have even a semblance of control, you need a tough legal framework.” Davies, a Brit, frequently argued the United States needed stricter libel laws.

So FoxNews needs to be shut down just because they will not conform to liberal peer pressure – remember it was Obama and Robert Gibbs that tried to label FoxNews as NOT a media/news outlet. Perhaps they too were on the journalist listservre.

“I agree,” said Michael Scherer of Time Magazine. Roger “Ailes understands that his job is to build a tribal identity, not a news organization. You can’t hurt Fox by saying it gets it wrong, if Ailes just uses the criticism to deepen the tribal identity.”

Of course you can’t say Fox gets it wrong all to often they don’t – and while the lib media generally gets it wrong which can be proven time and time again, you never see them debunk Fox with facts – because facts and liberals are like oil and water, they don’t mix. (BTW Fox Corrected the Sherrod story – I’ve yet to hear the MSM correct a story that was blatantly false.)

Jonathan Zasloff, a law professor at UCLA, suggested that the federal government simply yank Fox off the air. “I hate to open this can of worms,” he wrote, “but is there any reason why the FCC couldn’t simply pull their broadcasting permit once it expires?”

And so a debate ensued. Time’s Scherer, who had seemed to express support for increased regulation of Fox, suddenly appeared to have qualms: “Do you really want the political parties/white house picking which media operations are news operations and which are a less respectable hybrid of news and political advocacy?”

But Zasloff stuck to his position. “I think that they are doing that anyway; they leak to whom they want to for political purposes,” he wrote. “If this means that some White House reporters don’t get a press pass for the press secretary’s daily briefing and that this means that they actually have to, you know, do some reporting and analysis instead of repeating press releases, then I’ll take that risk.”

Man can you believe all that crap? That’s the loony left media – they’d rather be a branch of the liberal government than protect and inform the citizenry. Phony journalist is all they are.

Obama: Al Qaeada – racist.

This is one of those post I started a while back but never got around to posting it… so it’s a little late.

President Obama, White House: Al Qaeda Is Racist

In an interview earlier today [7/10/10] with the South African Broadcasting Corporation to air in a few hours, President Obama disparaged al Qaeda and affiliated groups’ willingness to kill Africans in a manner that White House aides say was an argument that the terrorist groups are racist.

When will the liberal stop playing the race card? Never likely – it really gets quite old and carries about as much weight as a feather on the wind – Al Qaeda isn’t racist, they’re terrorist – they kill people it has nothing to do with if they are Black or White or Brown or Yellow. But I guess in Obama’s eyes if the terrorist kill Black people in Uganda then they are racist terrorist and if they kill White people in America or Europe they are just misunderstood and we need to send NASA to reach out to them or maybe he can bow to a few despot. Then again in Obama’s world it’s more degrading to be called a racist than a terrorist, which is why the Democrats call Republicans and Tea Party members racist they are trying to equate Tea Party members as the same thing as terrorist.

I find it interesting that Obama didn’t call them racist when they killed a but of their own in Iraq – in his entitlement eyes aren’t they racist by excluding other in their attack.

Homicide Bombers Kill at Least 48 in Attacks on Anti-Al-Qaeda Militia in Iraq

BAGHDAD — A homicide bomber ripped through a line of anti-Al-Qaeda Sunni fighters waiting to collect their paychecks near an Iraqi military base as nearly 50 people were killed in violence west of Baghdad.

The attack is the deadliest this year against the groups that turned against the terror network amid an apparent campaign by insurgents to undermine confidence in the government security forces and their allies.

Did you hear anything form Obama or the administration about this? You can bet your ass you would have if they were African – I swear they look for reasons to play the race card. For a post racial President this country is more racially divided then ever in my lifetime and the chief racist is in the White House.
