Taxpayers to Fork Out $2.5 Million for Single Census Ad During Super Bowl
Taxpayers might want to pay close attention to this Sunday’s Super Bowl broadcast or they’ll miss Uncle Sam’s 30-second, $2.5-million reminder to stand up and be counted.
Really a Super Bowl ad for the 2010 census and $2,500,000.00 for the ads… why? Just how many jobs could you create with that amount of jack? Sometimes I really believe they waste money just to waste money is the census new and no one knows about it? Has is been a secret? Have we not had it crammed down our throat already for months? Besides how many dot gov commercials do you see every day? Not that long ago I asked this very question – “How many ‘dot’ gov websites are there?” I have even called Mitch McConnell’s office to get a list, that was in November and I still haven’t heard back from them, but I swear every time you turn around you see a new dot gov website preaching some common sense crap to you about how to eat, what to eat, how to talk to your kids, how to be a father, how to do this or how to do that… interestingly I have never one for how to be a mother and I can tell there are those out there that need a lesson in that, so why is the government sexist and only produce how to be a father websites? So where is the www.motherhood.gov website? Go ahead look for it; you won’t find it – why not? I’d ask my mother where it is, but I have no idea where she is… get the idea? Here is the deal if you care enough to be a father and not just a sperm donor you don’t need a damn website to tell you what to do and if the government thinks a website to going to convert deadbeat dad well they’re more ignorant that I think they are. Point is the sheer number of nanny-state websites have exploded under Obama and for one do not need the government “educating” me.
And a side note – I have so had enough of Obama telling me how to live and what I should or should not buy, where I should or should not go and how I should manage me budget, I mean really this idiot is going to tell me how to handle a budget? The biggest spender in American history that has created to record debt 2 years running is going to tell anyone how to manage money- what a joke, but that’s another post.
It just a thought about this sudden explosion of dot gov websites I’ve seen or heard about and I think I’ll start a list since the there isn’t a dot gov website to list all the dot gov websites. Well the closest you’ll get to it is www.usa.gov and it is not even close to being a comprehensive list, but forget the fact that there is a law that says there has to be a list provided by the government.
