The Movie of the Week #2 – Falling Down

Falling Down

I light of some of my recent misadventures with some fast food restaurants and other establishment pushing to the near edge of snapping because of their poor service, crappy products, over charging, make believe taxes and general incompetence to fully function as a upright being. I believe the movie Falling Down is in order. If you are one if the dozen or so people that haven’t seen Falling Down – do it!

Short of it – I guy one day gets fired, get’s stuck in traffic and decided to get out and walk home, he snaps at the worlds injustices he encounters. One being why doesn’t the food you get ever look like the food in the picture and demands to receive a product that looks as advertised. This is just one of many encounters he want’s to set right in his mind.

Excellent movie and not for children. Rated R for language and violence.

GDP is up but is it really good news?

Well the news is plastered with the economy growing 5.7% even Obama and his assorted talking heads were out there today patting themselves on the back, but what does it mean? Well I seem to think Wall Street the evil villain to Obama’s progressive agenda is a good barometer of what it really means.

So the news came out today the GDP increased by 5.7% and Wall St tanked the DOW down 53.13 (-0.52%), the NASDAQ down 31.65 (-1.45%)… seems Wall Street is not that impressed, why? Obama is empress and thanks himself, the liberals are empresses and thanked themselves and mainstream media isn’t blaming Bush and hailing The One as magical. But what does it all mean Basil?
Economy grows at 5.7 pct pace, fastest since 2003

Still, economists expect growth to slow this year as companies finish restocking inventories and as government stimulus efforts fade. Many estimate the nation’s gross domestic product will grow 2.5 percent to 3 percent in the current quarter and about 2.5 percent or less for the full year.

About 60 percent of the fourth quarter’s growth resulted from a sharp slowdown in the reduction of inventories as firms began to rebuild stockpiles depleted by the recession.

That won’t be fast enough to significantly reduce the unemployment rate, now 10 percent. Most analysts expect the rate to keep rising for several months and remain close to 10 percent through the end of the year.

The (GDP) Gross Domestic Product can be consumption, GOVERNMENT SPENDING, exports and inventory or goods that companies have on-hand unsold. Read more…

Pelosi is drunk on more than power

Taxpayers pay $101,000 for Pelosi’s in-flight ‘food, booze’

It reads like a dream order for a wild frat party: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.

But that single receipt makes up just part of the more than $101,000 taxpayers paid for “in-flight services” – including food and liquor, for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trips on Air Force jets over the last two years. That’s almost $1,000 per week.

It goes on…

Judicial Watch said the newly obtained 2,000 pages of documentation show Pelosi’s military travel cost the U.S. Air Force $2,100,744.59 over two years – including $101,429.14 for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.

But wait, there’s more…

Among the newest highlights revealed:

* Pelosi used Air Force aircraft to travel back to her district at an average cost of $28,210.51 per flight. Of 103 Pelosi-led congressional delegations (CODEL), 31 trips included members of the House speaker’s family.

* One CODEL traveling from Washington, D.C., through Tel Aviv, Israel, to Baghdad, Iraq, May 15-20, 2008, “to discuss matters of mutual concern with government leaders” included members of Congress and their spouses and cost $17,931 per hour in aircraft alone. This flight included the purchase of the long list of alcoholic drinks.

* According to a “Memo for Record” from a March 29-April 7, 2007, CODEL that involved a stop in Israel, “CODEL could only bring kosher items into the hotel. Kosher alcohol for mixing beverages in the delegation room was purchased on the local economy i.e. bourbon, whiskey, scotch, vodka, gin, triple sec, tequila, etc.

Well we know she is operating on half a brain and now we know why, she killed it with booze and the remaining half is soused. However, I your humble blogger am troubled to see as a Senior Ambassador to the Maker’s Mark Distillery that such a fine product was wasted on such a trollish creature. My Gawd are there no standards?  So the Queen of Blinks spent nearly a $1000 a week on booze for her personal taxpayer funded Air Force jet to shuttle her back and forth across the country and some people wondered why she was so delusional, now you know… she’s snookered.

So there it is – more government waste. Nancy can you spare a drink?

A year after the Ice its Snow… I blame global warming (and Bush)

Western Kentucky Jan 2009 Ice Storm

A year and two days ago on January 27, 2009 we were hammered by several inches of ice and it sucked.

Flashback here the ICE STORM tag

It took me a couple of long not so fun months to clean up all the downed wood and limbs from the many trees in the yard and still I have a lot of widow makers hanging from the tree even though I had 100′s fall during the year. All the trees were hit hard and hopefully they will recover, but between Hurricane Ike in September of ’08 and the Ice Storm of Jan-Feb of ’09 they were hammered.

I cut and stacked wood most of the summer and still have recently fallen widow makers that need to be cut up. I’ve been burning wood all winter and I’m burning some right now and just to piss the liberals off I enjoying every warm producing ton of CO2 they are pumping out.

When the deep freeze was all over our power was out for about 2 weeks, we ended up with about $7500.00 in property damages and didn’t receive a dime in FEMA money. However the fire department did drive by one day while I was cutting wood and pawn off some emergency rations nobody in my area wanted since they being dumb country hicks were all prepared for the storm, as was I. You can only wonder what the educated class would do. The rations were ok, nothing to write home about not any better than a MRE and wouldn’t hold a candle to C-RAT. I didn’t care one way or the other if I got them or not, I had a generator, plenty of food, firewood and fresh water so I was set … I like to call it personal responsibility you that stuff people do instead of waiting on the government to do it.

But tonight/today (which is way I thought of this) we are suppose to get 7″ to 10″ of snow. It is to start something after midnight – which is about 2 hours from now. So what the hell with all this snow and ice, I’m in the south? Where is the heat? Where is the humidity? Where is the global warming when you need it? Somebody get Copenhagen on the phone, someone call Al Gore I’ve got a beef.

Oh well I have food, water, firewood and a generator just in case.

Obama lies about Supreme Court ruling

Obama said that the Supreme Court ruling would open the flood gates of foreign monies being injected into American political campaigns.

Obama said…

“The Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign companies — to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, and worse, by foreign entities.”

The truth…
Fact Check: President Obama’s State of the Union 2010

Current federal law prevents “a partnership, association, corporation, organization, or other combination of persons organized under the laws of or having its principal place of business in a foreign country” from making, “directly or indirectly,” a donation or expenditure “in connection with a federal, state, or local election,” to a political party committee or “for an electioneering communication.”

Conclusion for Obama – “You lie”

Who you going to believe a washed up community organizer or the Supreme Court Justice?

Justice Alito mouths ‘not true’

Obama waste no time begging for money after SOTU

Does that campaigning and begging ever stop? Surely somehow, someway this is a violation of the law and a abuse of office, this just in from www.barackobama.com

We don’t quit

Xxxx –

I just finished delivering my first State of the Union, and I wanted to send you a quick note.

We face big and difficult challenges. Change on the scale we seek does not come easily. But I will never accept second place for the United States of America.

That is why I called for a robust jobs bill without delay. It’s why I proposed a small businesses tax credit, new investments in infrastructure, and pushed for climate legislation to create a clean energy economy.

It’s why we’re taking on big banks, reforming Wall Street, revitalizing our education system, increasing transparency — and finishing the job on health insurance reform.

It’s why I need your help — because I am determined to fight to defend the middle class, and special interest lobbyists will go all out to fight us.

Help me show that the American people are ready to join this fight for the middle class — add your name to a letter to Congress today:

http://my.barackobama.com/SOTU

We have finished a difficult year. We have come through a difficult decade. But we don’t quit. I don’t quit.

Let’s seize this moment — to start anew, to carry the dream forward, and to strengthen our union once more.

State of the Disunion Address

So what did the TOTUS say tonight?

OMG! I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a political speech so full of crap, so condescending, arrogant, egotistical, full of disdain, defiant, disingenuous, decisive and so full of outright lies. (What adjectives did I miss?) It was disjointed, it was all over the board and rather hard to follow at times. It was far more of a lecture than a presidential speech. It was not the Mr. Cool speech guy that the loony left knows and loves, it was a man pissed off that his progressive liberal agenda is being held up by you – the great unwashed.

He spent a good amount of time on BIOB (Blaming it on Bush) then telling lies, blaming Bush and then telling some more lies and as a added bonus he blame Bush a little more.

Obama tossed in that assorted hard luck stories from around the country and pretended he cared, do a follow up on any of these stories Obama tells and you’ll find unfulfilled promises he has made. Actually it really pisses me off to hear these stories from politicians, these asshats don’t care on either side of the aisle.

Obama spoke of eliminating all capitol gains on small businesses and providing tax incentives to allow them to invest in new equipment and hiring new employees. That’s sound great but what will it do if he taxes banks that the borrower has to pay more in loan fees or if he passes Cap and Trade? But since Obama has never owned a business he doesn’t realize that the $3000.00 credit he spoke of isn’t squat.

Obama pushed for Cap and Trade and claiming that climate change science was overwhelming and undeniable (which brought laughter), perhaps his missed all those reports coming out about fake data, bad science, hyped numbers and bogus reports. Yep he missed those little facts while he was admiring himself in the mirror.

He claimed that he hadn’t raised taxes on one single person, not one dime – well I guess tobacco user aren’t people as Obama raised tobacco taxes substantially and that tax was regardless of your income.

He whined and cried about the Supreme Court ruling to support free speech prompting Justice Alito to mouth the words “not true.” Yep nothing better to do than piss of the SCOTUS.

Obama went on to double down on Healthcare like he hasn’t had his ass kicked enough over that. Saying it must pass, it will pass, blah, blah, blah.

Obama said he wanted a website with all the earmarks listed on them… I’m guessing that the same website that has the bills posted for five days before a vote? Oh that’s right we never got to see those did we?

Obama again drunk on the Kool-Aid said unemployment would be twice as high as it is right now if it wasn’t for his ‘quick action’ I seem to remember him saying it wouldn’t go above 8% and it’s now at 10% for three months running. What’s up with that Dopey?

Obama then boasted about ‘2 million jobs created or saved’, none of which he can prove and failed to mention the 5 million people that have lost jobs since he took office and just while typing this I created or saved 257 post, prove I didn’t.

Obama whined about the amount of debt he inherited, but failed to mention anything about the trillions he has added to it and touted his failed stimulus package as a success.

Obama asked for the repeal of ‘Don’t ask, Don’t tell’ – in my opinion don’t be a peter puffer and we won’t have to, how one man can look at another man hairy ass and say ‘oh I want some of that’ is beyond my realm of comprehension. Gays don’t bother me, I just don’t agree with them being in the military. I wouldn’t want them to break a nail.

Obama attacked Bush, Banks, Republicans, the Supreme Court, Business, Insurance, you for being an idiot but interestingly enough he whines about job loss overseas and never whined about the main cause of their departure of the good old USA; UNIONS nope not a peep. He blamed it taxes… not that taxes were to high but he claimed businesses got tax breaks to relocate overseas. No Barry it’s Unions that have driven them overseas, why do you think Union membership has fallen faster in past 20 years than that any time in history, it’s because those companies have relocated to foreign land do to unreasonable Union demands. Obama left no straw man unmolested he attacked them all with vigor.

Obama did speech of offshore drilling, clean coal, nuclear power and his precious green energy. I believe the first three were an attempt to toss the Republicans a bone in hopes of their help on his agenda, because even though the GOP didn’t have the votes to stop Obama all year, they kicked his scrawny arrogant ass.

All and all Obama is still on the campaign trail; he is still talking his empty rhetoric that vaulted him into office. However, we now have a full year to look back on and we can see that Obama hasn’t delivered on anything of his past rhetoric so there is no reason to believe he will now. Some of his proposals were just insane, more giveaways, student loan forgiveness (As one person tweeted – Perhaps they should have studied a more profitable major).  To me it’s simple you take out a loan you repay it; it’s not the taxpayers job to pay your debt. He tossed a couple of tax credits to the middle-class in hopes of buying their vote it won’t work.

Obama says he doesn’t quit, but I wish he would. Go back to Chicago, Hawaii, Kenya wherever and shut the hell up.

To sum it all up – it was typical Obama with soaring rhetoric high on promises and low on trust… parts of it sounded good but do you believe him? I don’t we’ve heard it all before. The Democrats are in for a blood bath in November and Obama is will on the road to being a mediocre one-term president.

In other SOTU news…
The libtards applauded 86 times. (Really)
Nancy Pelosi blinked 74,956 times. (Not really but it’s close.)
Harry Reid yawns once. (Really)
Chris Matthews forgot Obama was Black.
Obama said ‘I’ 96 time. (Really)
Obama said ‘me’ or ‘my’ 18 times. (Really)
Janet Incompitano fell asleep. (Really)

To re-quote a Andy Levy Tweet…

Y’know who I feel sorry for tonight? The straw men. They are getting the crap beaten out of them!

I’m sure tomorrow/today they will have a field day ripping this dribble to shreds and it will not take much effort, the speech was a laughable joke.

Na’leans will not win the Super Bowl

Yes it would be great if New Orleans won the Super Bowl, they won’t… why? Obama called them to congratulate them on their win last Sunday… now they are doomed.

Case in point…

Obama lost the Olympics
Obama lost in Copenhagen
Obama lost for Coakley
Obama lost for Deeds
Obama lost for Corzine

And last but not least Obama called the UK Wildcats to thank them for a Haiti fund raiser and then the undefeated Number 1 seat team lost the unranked South Carolina Gamecocks.

So the Saints will lose, sorry Na’leans.

The problem with choice is people choose

CBS Urged To Scrap Tim Tebow Super Bowl Ad

Women’s groups are calling on CBS to scrap a planned Super Bowl ad featuring Florida Gators college football star Tim Tebow and his mother, which critics say is likely to convey an anti-abortion message.

So let me see if I understand correctly – PRO-CHOICE groups have their panties in wad because CBS made the CHOICE to run an advertisement about Tim Tebow’s mother making the CHOICE to have her child instead of aborting it. I guess they are only PRO-CHOICE when your CHOICE agrees with them?

Typical liberals.
