How many ‘dot’ gov websites are there?

I listen to the radio and I watch TV like most people… and one thing I’ve noticed is the explosion of government websites under Obama. It seems every time I turn around there is some other dot gov website being pushed here recently I’ve heard about…

www.smallsteps.gov
www.presidentschallenge.org/
www.healthierus.gov/
www.healthfinder.gov/
www.healthreform.gov
www.flu.gov/
www.stopmedicarefraud.gov/
www.usa.gov/
www.fatherhood.gov/

The list goes on and on endlessly on and on… the closest thing I can find to a index of government websites is …
A-Z Index of U.S. Government Departments and Agencies

This is in no way a complete list of government websites there is 100′s and 100′s of other government propaganda garbage websites out there preaching everything from telling you how to eat, what to eat and things you should and should not say. Frankly, I’m sick of hearing them! I’m suck of hearing Obama tell me how to live, how to be a Dad, what to drive and how to cough… I’ll put my parenting skill up against his any day – anyplace – anytime! Shut the hell up and stop nagging me and stop nannying me… I’m grown and the government is not my mother.

But here is the deal on all these websites we’re paying for they have exploded under Obama, every time I turn around there is a new and the government is by law suppose to provide a list of all government websites per the “E-Government Act of 2002

How many government websites are there? How many HHS or DOJ sites are there? You and I have no way to know. American taxpayers cannot even know how many public websites their government is funding. By law, we should—but the system is broken.

The E-Government Act of 2002 set a deadline of two years to develop a “public domain directory of public Federal Government websites” (Section 207(f)(3)). But this directory still does not exist 5 years later.

Still No Directory of Federal Websites, E-Gov Act Ignored

So in addition to the lack of transparency on nearly everything going on in government we can’t even access a complete list of all the site we are paying for. Bush failed to get the list up and now “Mister Unprecedented Transparency” isn’t doing it either.

Just one more thing the government said they were going to do and haven’t and still there are those that want to trust them with their health…. fools.

White house can’t protect it’s own boarders

partycrashersI guess you heard that some folks crashed the big tax payer funded state dinner at the White House the other night…

White House Party Crashers Cause a Hangover

And now they are looking to sell their story to the highest bidder…
White House Party Crashers Looking to Sell Story

So this begs the question… if the Obama government can’t protect and defend the boarders of the White House, one little house then how are we to expect them to protect and defend the boarders of the United States? We can’t it’s that simple.

I call this one a fail! Now the White Houses is spinning that this is no big deal… please!

Happy Thanksgiving and a look at the “First” Thanksgiving

What's wrong with this picture?

What's wrong with this picture?

Happy Turkey Day… but shouldn’t have been venison, calm, lobster, rabbit, goose day?

Way back in 1620 the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock to begin the settlement of the new world… right? Well no… they did arrive in 1620 on the Mayflower, that’s true! They weren’t called pilgrims there were colonist but they didn’t call themselves that, see pilgrims make pilgrimages for religious reason to spread the word of their religion… these folks were ill prepared to spread anything as they came to the new world completely unequipped to setup a new civilization… in reality they called themselves “Saints”; others called them “Separatists.” Some of the settlers were “Puritans,” dissidents but not separatists who wanted to “purify” the Church of England. It wasn’t until around the time of the American Revolution that the name “Pilgrims” came to be associated with the Plimoth (Plymouth) settlers, and the “Pilgrims” became the symbol of American morality and Christian faith, fortitude, and family… a symbol not a fact. So we’ll call them pilgrims to keep it simple. Now recall my post on the pilgrims and the failed attempt at socialism and later problems with “immorality” as written by William Bradford. It’s worth noting that they were so poorly prepared that at the end of the first year, out of the 102 people that arrived on Mayflower only 53 were left for the “first thanksgiving.” … not a good start.

But the Plymouth Rock part is true, right? Well, no it’s not either… the colonist landed in a sandy inlet on Cape Cod as written by William Bradford the first governor of the Plymouth Colony then they sailed to the a area to what would become Plymouth, but first they sent out a small craft to find a place to land which they were nearly lost in a storm and Indian attacks… but that’s another story. So the first mention of Plymouth Rock wasn’t until 1715 nearly a 100 years after the Mayflower’s arrival. The myth began with 94 year old Thomas Faunce who in 1741 claimed his father told him some 120 years earlier that was the rock the colonist first landed on when he heard the community was going to build a wharf over the rock, “which impressed his mind with deep concern, and excited a strong desire to take a last farewell of the cherished object” (From History of the Town of Plymouth by James Thacher, 1835) and from there the story Plymouth Rock was born, it’s great for tourism but reality it’s not.

But they ate and had a big feast right and the Pilgrims invited the Indians to share in their wealth of the harvest and everybody was happy-happy, right? … Ah not exactly. See the Indians didn’t really trust the pilgrims nor did the pilgrims trust the Indians… in fact when the pilgrims went out to hunt for the so-called First Thanksgiving (which wasn’t the first but that’s another story too) the Indians thought the pilgrims were preparing for war with them.

According to oral accounts from the Wampanoag people, when the Native people nearby first heard the gunshots of the hunting colonists, they thought that the colonists were preparing for war and that Massasoit needed to be informed. When Massasoit showed up with 90 men and no women or children, it can be assumed that he was being cautious. When he saw there was a party going on, his men then went out and brought back five deer and lots of turkeys*.

*nowhere is “turkey” ever mentioned by name in Bradford or Winslow’s writings that I recall they only list it as “wild fowl” i.e. duck, goose, dove, turkey and any number of birds could have been collected.

In addition, both the Wampanoag and the English settlers were long familiar with harvest celebrations. Long before the Europeans set foot on these shores, Native peoples gave thanks every day for all the gifts of life, and held thanksgiving celebrations and giveaways at certain times of the year. The Europeans also had days of thanksgiving, marked by religious services. So the coming together of two peoples to share food and company was not entirely a foreign thing for either. But the visit that by all accounts lasted three days was most likely one of a series of political meetings to discuss and secure a military alliance. Neither side totally trusted the other: The Europeans considered the Wampanoag soulless heathens and instruments of the devil, and the Wampanoag had seen the Europeans steal their seed corn and rob their graves. In any event, neither the Wampanoag nor the Europeans referred to this feast/meeting as “Thanksgiving.”

per: Correspondence with Margaret M. Bruchac about the relationship Samoset, Tisquantum, Hobbamock, and Massasoit. See also Margaret M. Bruchac and Catherine O’Neill Grace, 1621: A New Look at Thanksgiving.

So how about the deer and wild fowl stuff, Edward Winslow, Mourt’s Relation writes (old spelling intact)…

“our harvest being gotten in, our governour sent foure men on fowling, that so we might after a speciall manner rejoyce together, after we had gathered the fruits of our labours ; they foure in one day killed as much fowle, as with a little helpe beside, served the Company almost a weeke, at which time amongst other Recreations, we exercised our Armes, many of the Indians coming amongst us, and amongst the rest their greatest king Massasoyt, with some ninetie men, whom for three dayes we entertained and feasted, and they went out and killed five Deere, which they brought to the Plantation and bestowed on our Governour, and upon the Captaine and others. And although it be not always so plentifull, as it was at this time with us, yet by the goodness of God, we are so farre from want, that we often wish you partakers of our plentie.”

But they had popcorn right… I mean – come on every school kid knows the Indians brought popcorn to the first thanksgiving. There had to be popcorn… ah sorry, no it’s a myth invented by Jane G. Austen in her novel Standish of Standish (1889), p. 281:

The meal was a rude one looked upon with the dainty eyes and languid appetites of to-day, but to those sturdy and heroic men and women it was a veritable feast, and at its close Quadequina with an amiable smile nodded to one of his attendants, who produced and poured upon the table something like a bushel of popped corn, – a dainty hitherto unseen and unknown by most of the Pilgrims. All tasted, and John Howland hastily gathering up a portion upon a wooden plate carried it up to the Common house for the delectation of the women, that is to say, for Elizabeth Tilley, whose firm young teeth craunched [sic.] it with much gusto.

The reality…
No Popcorn: The Question of Popcorn at the ‘First Thanksgiving’

As far as can be ascertained, there was no true popcorn or podcorn in the eastern New England region in 1621 or at the “First Thanksgiving”. It hasn’t been found archaeologically, and there isn’t any New England reference to the popcorn we know today in the 17th century. Sweet corn is documented as only arriving in the region ca. 1779 (Mangelsdof, p. 110), and popcorn may well have arrived in a similar way from the upstate New York area. The presence of the larger flint and/or flour corn in New England is well documented in the studies on corn (such as Paul Mangelsdorf, Corn Its Origin, Evolution and Improvement (Cambridge, 1974); Arthur Parker, “Iroquois Uses of Maize,” in Parker on the Iroquois, Fenton, ed. (Syracuse, 1968); Paul Weatherwax, Indian Corn in Old America (New York, 1954). The first widespread use of corn in the Northeast is now set at ca.1100, A.D. (Bruce D. Smith, Rivers of Change, (Washington, 1992), p. 292), which might account for a fairly specialized selection of maize varieties here 500 years later.

So what do we know about the First Thanksgiving? Well not a lot as only one creditable account survive and that is of Edward Winslow, Mourt’s Relation which can be read in it’s entirety here.

Know your history folks it keep more and more bastardized everyday… have a happy and safe Thanksgiving! See you when it’s all over I need a break and I thank you for reading.

RCP Poll Obama below 50% (even using there fuzzy math)

If you pay attention to the Real Clear Politics poll you’d notice what only a blind man could miss and that is they tend to cherry pick and spin the number of various polls to keep Obama’s numbers high as possible and they’re real clear numbers uses some real fuzzy math. Case in point I saw a Rasmussen Poll that had a Obama at -8 over a 4 day average and RCP reported that the same 4 day average was -1… now how they averaged -7, -9, -7, -8 to be -1 is beyond my mathematical ability. I guess they are using the same calculator that Obama uses to figure job creations, anyway you slice it their basic math skills are wholly lacking.

Current example as you can see below Rasmussan has -13, -10, -13 …. but RCP has this averaged at -9 … go figure, because I get an average of -12 … do the math -13, -13, -10 is -36 divided by 3 is on any planet -12, not -9… it can not be -9, it will never be -9 and only a mathematical moron will get a -9.

Logic (that stuff liberals hate) would dictate Obama is much lower and been below 50% for a while.

Obama Approval Index History

11/23/2009 -13 28% 41% 46% 53%
11/22/2009 -10 29% 39% 48% 52%
11/21/2009 -13 27% 40% 47% 52%

With that said RCP has a polling collective average for Obama at 49.7% approval and 44.6% disapproval and I’m sure it pains them to admit that…

RCPpoll

Isn’t it funny how CBS home of the poet Katie Couric has Obama at +17 and CNN the most busted name in news has him at +13.

By the way Rasmussen is repeatedly the closest to the real numbers… they have come closer to the final results of various elections than any other as they use “LV” … (Likely Voters) you’ll notice they are the only ones that use likely voters. CNN, CBS in addition to USAToday and Gallup use “A” (Adult Americans)… and we know not all American’s vote or are registered to vote. FOX News and Democracy Corps use “RV” … (Registered Voters)

YouTube Preview Image

I was going to give this a 5 STAR rating on YouTube… but thanks to learning the forbidden secrets of climate math I was able to rate this at 10 STARS… YES! and in about 10 year it will be 15 STARS… I can prove it I have data and charts.

Oh by the way … no… nada… none.. ZERO mainstream media news organizations ran any stories about “climategate” only the evil Fox News reported this story which very could well be as big as proving the earth is indeed round… sorry liberal it is, really.

More here…

The global warming scandal of the century

I now believe in man-made global warming!

Are you shocked? It’s true – I believe it… mad made global warming is real! Man made up the data, man made up the “facts”, man made up the charts and man manipulated and made up the data. Global warming statics are in fact man made and all the heat from global warming is coming from the so-called scientist in the kitchen cooking the books.

Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’?

Anthropogenic Global Warming aka AGW not to be confused with AWG the Angry White Guy.

When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory

Senator Joe Inhofe an evil Republican is calling for Investigation on “Climategate” to maybe help bury this junk science.

Inhofe Says He Will Call for Investigation on “Climategate” on Washington Times Americas Morning Show

Hiding evidence of global cooling

There is a lot of damning evidence about these researchers concealing information that counters their bias. In another exchange, Mr. Jones told Mr. Mann: “If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act now in the UK, I think I’ll delete the file rather than send to anyone” and, “We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind.” Mr. Jones further urged Mr. Mann to join him in deleting e-mail exchanges about the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) controversial assessment report (ARA): “Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re [the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report]?”

So yeah I believe in man made global warming… it’s nothing more than I have always thought it was … a scam! Man made up data… setting aside the flawed data these was nothing more than a effort to further control your life and the so-called Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in England to save their jobs. Any one with a ounce of common sense has been calling this garbage-garbage for years and it’s just a effort to tax you a little more… but let’s flash back 35+ years…

In the early 1970′s there are a great fear of global cooling and the coming ice age…

Science magazine (Dec. 10, 1976) warned of “extensive Northern Hemisphere glaciation.”

Science Digest (February 1973) reported that “the world’s climatologists are agreed” that we must “prepare for the next ice age.”

The Christian Science Monitor (“Warning: Earth’s Climate is Changing Faster Than Even Experts Expect,” Aug. 27, 1974) reported that glaciers “have begun to advance,” “growing seasons in England and Scandinavia are getting shorter” and “the North Atlantic is cooling down about as fast as an ocean can cool.”

Newsweek agreed (“The Cooling World,” April 28, 1975) that meteorologists “are almost unanimous” that catastrophic famines might result from the global cooling that the New York Times (Sept. 14, 1975) said “may mark the return to another ice age.”

The Times (May 21, 1975) also said “a major cooling of the climate is widely considered inevitable” now that it is “well established” that the Northern Hemisphere’s climate “has been getting cooler since about 1950.”

Did you know that they even hatched a plan to cover the arctic regions in black charcoal to help absorb heat to fight off the coming ice age? Kind of sound like the hair brained idea to paint our roofs white.

I doubt we’ve heard the end of the global warming debate… but you can bet that they’ve been dealt a kidney punch they will not soon recover so don’t stop swinging now we’ve got them on the ropes so take’em out. Because you can bet that the mainstream media, Discovery Channel, Al Gore, NATGEO and the other loons on the left will keep pumping the propaganda around man made up global warming.

(Note: the loony left calls it “climate change” now since it has cooled off… I have news for them the climate always changes…. it’s called “seasons”.)

New creatures verses endangered creatures…

The loons on the left will tell you how man is destroying the the planet… and we are killing off all the animals, but do they tell you about the ones that are discovered… oh it’s reported it’s just rarely in the news so let’s have a look at what is found verses what is threatened according to the loons and we’ll even cover protect introduced species at the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars of your money.

delta_smelt_1I’m sure you’ve heard about the California Delta Smelt… you know that little fish that they are starving the farmers of waters so to, as the loony left environmentalist claim not to endanger? 10′s of 1000′s of farmers who have farmed their land for generation can no long do so do to a lack of water thanks to these loons and the Delta Smelt.

Then we have the poor pitiful polar bears… which have actually increased in population over the last few years. The linked article says…

Despite global warming, an ongoing study says polar bear populations are rising in the country’s eastern Arctic region.

Well how is that possible with global warming and all… I guess global warming is a hoax.. not that scientist would lie.

But here’s the deal… something I’ve seen over and over for the past year is obscure rare reports of not one, but thousands of new species discovered… on a planet that nearly every inch has been inhabited or explored there are still 1000′s of creatures we’ve never seen until recently. Now keep in mind long before humans ever took there first step upright 99.99% of every species had already gone extinct. 1,000,000′s of 1,000,000′s of species fish, insects, primates, mammals, bacteria, dinosaurs, birds and on and on… and it is estimated 1000′s of species go extinct every year, many before every discovered by man, but bet your ass the loons will blame man for the extinction of animals not yet discovered.

So let’s have a look at what’s been found in the past year or so…

Every cloud there is a silver lining…
‘Outlandish’ Creatures Found Living Deep in the Ocean

The researchers have found about 5,600 new species on top of the 230,000 known. They hope to add several thousand more by October 2010, when the census will be done.

But wait there is more from the jungles of New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Kenya and Sulawesi…
New Creatures in an Age of Extinctions

And this is just mammals alone…

an astounding 400 or so new species have been added to the list. “Most people don’t realize this,” he said, “but we are smack-dab in the middle of the age of discovery for mammals.”

But wait some more there is still more…
Tiny Deer, Flying Frog Among 350 New Species Found in Himalayas

The world’s smallest deer, a flying frog and catfish that stick to rocks — as well as more than 350 other new species — have been discovered over the past decade in the Himalayas

But we’re not done yet… oh no.
Lost world of fanged frogs and giant rats discovered in Papua New Guinea

A team of scientists from Britain, the United States and Papua New Guinea found more than 40 previously unidentified species when they climbed into the kilometre-deep crater of Mount Bosavi

Still there is more…
Photos: treasure trove of new species discovered in Ecuador

The team found 11 new species during the RAP (Rapid Assessment Program) that are considered threatened globally.

Note this article.. ‘we’ just found them and they are already threatened… how do they know? They just found them, what were they before we found them.. extincted? Typical liberal bullcrap! Claiming a animal is threatened that they just found and have ZERO population history on… this is one of the many reason I never believe anything the environmental alarmist says.

Still more…
Five New Pygmy Seahorse Species Found

The Walea pygmy seahorse is one of five species named in a flurry of recent seahorse discoveries from coral reefs in the Red Sea and Indonesia.

And yet still more…
Many New Species Discovered In Hidden Mozambique Oasis

they found a wealth of wildlife, including three new species of butterfly and an undiscovered species of adder. The scientists believe there are at least two novel species of plant and perhaps more new insects to identify.

Just in case that is not enough here are a few more…
New plant discovered in the Philippines is a giant rat-eating plant!
137 New Plant Species Discovered
Rare Plant Thought Extinct Re-discovered in Upstate New York
168 new plant species discovered in Greater Mekong

And these is just a few of the discoveries reported in the last couple of years… and we are wringing our hands over the San Fransisco Bay Delta Smelt… granted everything deserves to live.. but you don’t do it at the peril of you’re own species. Besides can’t they put screens over the pumps so they don’t suck the little fish in them… just saying, a little common sense goes a long way.

So the next time some WWF, Sierra Club, NATGEO or Discovery Channel shows whines about the hoax global warming and how many are killing off all the animals.. ask them “then if that’s true where are all the new ones coming from?”

Then there is this sham…

H.R. 1018: Restore Our American Mustangs Act

My own Representative Ed Whitfield voted to fund the American Wild Horse H.R. 1018 at the tune of $700,000,000.00… there is one problem with that… well actually there is 700 million problems, there is no such thing as the American Horse… horses were introduced into North America by Spanish in the 1500′s! The North American horse went extinct about 8000-10,000 years ago… I blame global warming and George Bush. But the wild horse in America today are ferrell horses, just like wild pigs in North America were introduced by Spanish as are the Norway rat, danilon, sparrow, kudzu vine,  black bird, starling, red fox, European hare and about 10,000 others critters and plants  introduced into North America are we spending million to protect them?

No … why because there range is on top of the largest shale oil reserves in the world… which the wild horse are thus putting the ability to drill there off limits.

I’ve asked Whitfield when we are going to spend millions to protect the wild kudzu vine, introduced just as the horses… I’m still waiting for an answer.

Boycott Louisiana?

I like Louisiana, the bayou, Naw’leans and gumbo… and I’m not a big fan of boycotts but with that said the recent bold and blatant bribe of Sen. Mary Landrieu a democrat from Louisiana is a bit much, this on the back of the ONLY Republican House vote for the healthcare takeover coming from another Louisianan Representative Joseph Cao (R – LA 2nd) as I’m sure you know this bribe was at the tune of $100,000,000.00 taxpayer dollars. (Actually I understand it to be $300,000,000.00) So in a effort to recoup that money I might just have to forgo any Louisiana products.. I can purchase my seafood from Alabama or Mississippi and my boudin and andouille from Florida. Oh I know what some of you are thinking, this was only a vote to debate don’t overreact… well 97% of all bills passed to debate pass in the end and this in your face bride from congress with our money is in my opinion unforgivable.

So how did this bribe work? Well in 2006 is says in short…
The $100 Million Health Care Vote?

On page 432 of the Reid bill, there is a section increasing federal Medicaid subsidies for “certain states recovering from a major disaster.”

The section spends two pages defining which “states” would qualify, saying, among other things, that it would be states that “during the preceding 7 fiscal years” have been declared a “major disaster area.”

In other words, the bill spends two pages describing would could be written with a single world: Louisiana. (This may also help explain why the bill is long.)

So while I like Louisiana… it seems to me they owe the U.S. taxpayers $100,000,000.00 or is it $300,000,000.00! And don’t come whining to me about Katrina… you’ve gotten billions and if you build a city below sea level on the coast don’t be surprised when you get wet.

I seem to remember we had a pretty bad ice storm here  that was declared a Federal Disaster Area … I’m still cleaning up from it and if I add up all the Federal, State and Local monies I’ve recieved during the year to aid in that clean up it comes to exactly $0.00!

Federal Debt- so easy a liberal can understand.

OK let’s put this down so that even liberals can understand it… I’ll type slow because I know they do not read to fast.

Say you make about … and let be really generous and give you $100,000.00 year… ok got that, that’s big money in small town America! Not so much in the liberal controlled urban area thanks to union and taxes that have driven jobs overseas… thanks liberals.

Ok let say you set down at the kitchen table push the kids school books and stacks of mail most of which are bills to the side and with a big plate of Hamburger Helper and a Sun Drop soda you start looking at your household budget… you figure up you mortgage, federal taxes,  car payments, state taxes,  insurance, local taxes, gas, school taxes, electric, property taxes, cable, 911 taxes, phone, car taxes, internet, sales taxes, food, maintenance on all it, dance lesson, piano lesson, charity, braces, doctor visit, all your other 100′s miscellaneous bills and taxes you have to pay throughout the year plus the money you give to a couple of deadbeat adult children still living at home eating your food, using your electric, not paying any rent and to lazy to work, you add it up and it come to 101,850.00… what do you do? You have no money to put back, no money for emergencies, no money for anything and you still own $1,850.00 more than you are going to make all year… what do you do!! You already had to carry some $9,985.80 over that’s been collecting from previous years, you can’t continue to carry over debt it’s got to be paid. The creditors wants there money. But to be fair you go ahead the project a couple of more years maybe things will look up… and you find they don’t in 2010 you still be making a $100,000 but your bills will be $101,588.80… now you owe $14,456.3o more than you are taking in.. it get’s better in 2011 the total is up to $15,673.90 in 2012 it’s $16,565.70 and it just keeps going up, what do you do?  Well if you have common sense you cut expenses and you start with some tough love telling the deadbeat children to get a job or get out, you cut out the luxuries of eating out, going on vacation, you dial back the heat and clip some coupons, you forgo luxuries because you HAVE to get your expenses down, you have no choice – you live within your means or you file bankruptcy!

Well those are the amount the Federal Government is over spending every year minus a bunch of zeros. We went into this year with $9,985,000,000,000.00 in debt, Obama has spent and extra $1,850,000,000,000.00 over our take home pay just this years and the outlook is bleak for as far as the eye can see…

And these amounts are WITHOUT healthcare! Projected to be $2,500,000,000,000.00 over the next 10 years fully ran… not the phony fuzzy number they have promoted.

YEAR (est.) – FEDERAL DEBT – % of GDP

2009 (est.) – $12,867,500,000,000.00 – 90.4%
2010 (est.) – $14,456,300,000,000.00  – 98.1%
2011 (est.) – $15,673,900,000,000.00  – 101.0%
2012 (est.) – $16,565,700,000,000.00 – 100.6%
2013 (est.) – $17,440,200,000,000.00 – 99.7%
2014 (est.) – $18,350,000,000,000.00 – 99.%

So what do we do? Well let start with the deadbeat citizen that set around sucking up tax dollars and not paying a dime in.. cut them off cold turkey and tell them you’ve had your hand out to long it’s time to get off the wagon and help push it, then let cut the size of government by about 50% and abolish the IRS and the 16th amendment, institute a national sales tax (fair tax) so everybody get the joy of paying into the national coffers. Mandate that government spending is held the a maximum of 20% of GDP in peacetime and 25% in wartime (Under Obama it has grown to 45.34%) Mandate a balanced budget, mandate no earmarks each congressional request must stand on it’s own, and void automatic pay raises for government… federal election are held every 2 years in every state and it can be voted on by the public the to if congress and government gets a raise… divide it up between military and civil servants. No sense in punishing the military for the lack of performance from the known slackers of Washington.

But that’s just me….

10 Things You Should Know About this Bill

‘Democrats have spent six weeks behind closed doors putting together a trillion-dollar experiment in government-run health care that raises premiums, raises taxes, and cuts Medicare—a 2,074-page bureaucratic nightmare’ what do you need to know?

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following remarks (as prepared) on the Senate floor Friday regarding the importance of getting it right on health care reform:

“Democrats have spent six weeks behind closed doors putting together a trillion-dollar experiment in government-run health care that raises premiums, raises taxes, and cuts Medicare. We’ve now had less than 48 hours to look through this 2,074-page bureaucratic nightmare. But here are 10 things that every American should know about this bill.

1.) · The Democrat bill includes nearly half a trillion dollars in new taxes that hit virtually every American, including middle class families making less than $250,000 a year.

2,) · The Democrat bill would increase insurance premiums for individuals and families.

3.) · The Democrat bill cuts Medicare for seniors by nearly half a trillion dollars ($465 billion) and limits the choices that millions of seniors now enjoy.

4.) · The Democrat bill won’t lower health care costs according to the Congressional Budget Office.

5.) · The true cost of this bill over 10 years, when fully implemented, is about $2.5 trillion.

6.) · Under the Democrat bill, if you like the health insurance you have, you may not be able to keep it.

7.)· The Democrat bill would let government bureaucrats dictate what kind of health plans Americans must purchase and what benefits they can receive.

8)· The Democrat bill creates a government plan that CBO has said would have higher premiums.

9.)· The Democrat bill would, for the first time in history, allow federal programs to pay for elective abortions.

10.) · Finally, Americans should know that this bill doesn’t have the common-sense reforms that they have been asking for all along, like getting rid of junk lawsuits and leveling the playing field when it comes to health care taxes.

“Americans want reform. But higher premiums, higher taxes, and cuts to Medicare to create more government isn’t reform. Yet that’s precisely what they’d get with this Democrat bill.”
